"What are you all doing! What's with all this chaos! Someone actually believes Dutch Van der Linde's false propaganda? Are your brains all pig brains?"

Mr. Childe, dressed in a United States Army general's uniform, walked out of the command center with a face full of anger. His expression was as dark as water, and he looked extremely furious. He fired his pistol into the sky.

The shot startled these American soldiers, and they looked up in panic.

It was only because these American soldiers were at the bottom of society in that era, accustomed to obedience, and had nowhere else to go but to join the army. If it were a different time or a different country, someone would have already started a passionate shootout with Mr. Childe, who fired the shot.

But even so, everyone remained unconvinced.

"I think you're wrong, General Childe. Mr. Van der Linde's Veteran Club is evident to all, and we all have friends or fellow soldiers working for Mr. Van der Linde.

If only one person spoke well of Mr. Van der Linde and the Veteran Club, we might still be suspicious, but when everyone speaks well of Mr. Van der Linde, I think no matter how bad he is, he's still better than you!" This person was still restrained and spoke clearly, reasoning with General Childe little by little.

But General Childe would not reason with him.

"Damn it, you're disrupting military morale! Someone, take him away! I'm sending you to a military court!

As for you, gentlemen, calm down. Who in this world would rush to give you money? Do you yourselves think it's possible?

And now, the United States Government has already sent your first month's pay! And the war subsidy, five dollars per person! A five-dollar subsidy per person, oh, damn it, I'm really jealous of you. You can now have a five-dollar allowance, plus your seventy-five cents daily pay, damn it, your income this month can easily reach $27.5! Do you know what that means? In the American East, the most experienced workers only earn twenty-eight dollars a month, and they not only require skill but also demand fourteen hours of work per day. Gentlemen, this is what America promised you, and now it has delivered!

And that Dutch Van der Linde you speak of is nothing but a clown who manipulates public opinion with false information. Real benefits are laid out before your eyes. Are you willing to be a clown's slave, or embrace a new life in the New America?"

It must be said, Mr. Childe's speech indeed had its merits.

But as the saying goes, the more you say, the more mistakes you make. He thought his method of handling this incident, combining both leniency and severity, was an extraordinary performance and would surely succeed easily.

However, the soldiers' reactions were completely different from what he had expected.

"F*** your mother, you stupid pig dog, put away your condescending attitude! Damn bastard, look at your arrogant face, look at your dark heart, you use the most clever words to try and deceive our hearts, I tell you, that's impossible!

What was your United States Government doing before Mr. Van der Linde appeared? What was your attitude before Mr. Van der Linde started the war? What kind of lives are the veterans of the Spanish-American War and the American Civil War living now?

You summon us when you need us and dismiss us when you don't, yet you disdain to fulfill your proper obligations. You pay us the lowest wages on Mr. Van der Linde's land, yet arrogantly proclaim it as the United States Government's favor!

You give us our deserved pay, yet with a righteous face, you still want our gratitude! How shameful is that!

Mr. Van der Linde is great because he took on responsibilities that were not his own for us, just so that we veterans could also have a decent life! And you pig dogs are insatiably greedy, with no bottom line for profit. If you had fulfilled your responsibilities and done what you promised us, then this Veteran Club would not exist on American soil at all!

Just as Mr. Van der Linde once said: In the future, they will give you, they will give you milk, they will give you satisfactory pay, this is not because their conscience has been discovered, but because we once came!

You haven't realized you were wrong, you've started to be afraid!

Mr. Van der Linde could clearly live his own wealthy life, so why risk life and death to start a war? Why would he take on responsibilities that were not his own? Because he did it all for us! For us low-class people whom you despise!

Brothers, Mr. Dutch Van der Linde has risen up for us common people to have a truly human life, so can we betray him, betray our class, betray this most respected leader at this most critical juncture?"

Compared to General Childe, who was self-satisfied after a speech, this unknown soldier was an even greater orator.

Under his speech, the hearts of the soldiers throughout the camp had ignited with a blazing fire, and now they could no longer hold back, wanting to burn everything completely!

"No!"

"No!"

"No!"

The soldiers' voices converged, terrifying Mr. Childe to his core.

"Then let's follow Mr. Van der Linde and show these damn American East elites what the anger of the common people is!!!"

"Bang!"

A gunshot rang out, and General Childe's forehead was blown apart by a single shot!

Red and white flowed everywhere, and the smell of blood and gunpowder stimulated the soldiers' brains even more.

"Roar roar roar!!!"

The entire camp erupted into complete chaos.

Countless soldiers swarmed up, following the footsteps of the speaker, plundering the entire camp clean, and then heading towards Florida.

They were going crazy! They were going to conquer Florida and give it to Mr. Van der Linde! They wanted to show the American East who the true masters of this country were!

The torrent of people was far grander and more terrifying than the migration of wildebeest on the African savanna.

They were like ocean waves, capable of washing away everything in their path!
