Chapter 13 - Choice To Survives

I could see the strange actions that Doctor Portia was doing.

Her sudden action for destruction of a clear glass bottle containing medicine caused anxiety among the girls on the bed.

"G-Guinea pig? W-What does that mean?" Liliana grumbled, looking shocked after Doctor Portia said that.

I could only stare at Doctor Portia with a cynical look after her behavior changed drastically.

I knew that Doctor Portia was crazy enough to do something that went beyond human morals, but not in this current time.

But, to admit she using me as her guinea pig in front of my stepfamily, a loyal maid, and my ex-fiancé, it was a pretty crazy thing for a female doctor appointed directly by the royal family to do.

This situation, which felt bad, also made me glance at the broken clear glass bottle in my family's emergency tent room.

Taking a deep breath and trying to assess the situation calmly, I said something that kept Doctor Portia silent momentarily.

"A poison from the Xylium plant concentrated to a mild degree. Used by Assassins to carry out silent assassinations by causing their victims to feel pain in their chests. This is strange... why would I know something like this when I have such memory loss?" I muttered in a tone loud enough to make everyone in the emergency tent room glance at me.

"You know about this sort of thing? Is it from your old memories?" Doctor Portia replied, smiling at me.

"I don't know. It's just that… I feel uncomfortable looking at a medicine that I already know is a deadly poison. Did you deliberately create this kind of medicine to trigger memories of my past?" I replied, giving Doctor Portia a small bluff.

"If you don't remember this, that's okay. I'm not forcing you to remember something that happened in the past, am I right?" Doctor Portia then directed her gaze to Melissa, who was silent as if understanding what Doctor Portia said.

Doctor Portia seemed to be giving me an implicit message.

The look in her eyes that was fixed on Melissa made me conclude that Melissa and Doctor Portia knew each other in the past.

The information I have at this point is very limited, and I'm completely clueless about this. Other than something that happened in the background of the main story, I have no idea what the NPC I'm possessing has done in the past.

This makes me look like a fool who doesn't know anything.

"You're really lucky, you innocent maid," Doctor Portia continued, her whispering voice audible in my ear.

Melissa, who heard this, lowered her face after listening to Doctor Portia's whisper.

"Well, the medicine that was going to make your penis erect has fallen and broken. What are you going to do after this, Hans?"

"Want to try doing a routine check for the poison that has spread in your body?"

Doctor Portia seemed to feel innocent when she almost made me drink poison, as if it was used to test what Melissa would do after knowing that I was going to drink poison.

 Cling!!

My head suddenly felt dizzy after thinking about this, and scenes from the past suddenly replayed in my head.

An incident in the past where Doctor Portia, who was working as a personal doctor in my noble family, had to be expelled after one of these deadly poisons was drunk by one of my important family members.

Doctor Portia was accused by one of the maids who looked like Melissa and gave false testimony that Doctor Portia deliberately poisoned one of my family members to death, including me, who almost died that stormy night.

 Deg...

 Deg...

With flashbacks of past events, I now understand what happened to Doctor Portia and Melissa. A revenge that will be carried out using my amnesia.

Somehow, I felt like a guinea pig that was deliberately used by Doctor Portia just to avenge her past, while Melissa was still working as one of my loyal maids.

"..." With a calm attitude and knowing that my life would always be threatened after seeing the past grudge between Doctor Portia and Melissa, I wanted to challenge death, which would determine my fate in the future.

"I don't think... a mild poison like this will work to cure the poison that is slowly attacking my magic core. I need a stronger poison, a poison that has long expired and settled into a poisonous antidote. If I'm not mistaken, the area we are currently occupying is close to a bandit den that often steals merchant caravans selling various kinds of medicines, right?"

I don't want to drag on the dispute between the two of them and put forward an interesting proposal in this regard.

"I'll try to find some expired drugs that they can't sell there," I continued with a big smile.

 "..."

 "..."

Things got quieter after I said something crazy like this.

What I'm saying is one of the plans I made the night before.

Inside a Dungeon that is a hiding place for bandits and weak monsters, it will be a Hidden Dungeon that can only be accessed by the main character after passing the prologue and having a friendly status with the local residents and hear rumors of bandits hiding inside the Dungeon.

 I guess...

This is the right moment after the story in the prologue.

I must managed to get through and survive in a condition where my body was poisoned like this from the start.

"Hmm..." Doctor Portia was not happy with this and tried to stop me.

"That's too stupid to do alone, even if you hire some royal knights and bring your fiancée to attack these bandits. It still won't be enough," said Doctor Portia while glancing at Melissa.

"Unless you hand this over to someone who is skilled at sneak attacks and has a face that feels innocent about what she has done," continued Doctor Portia, who seemed to be implicitly talking about Melissa.

Seeing the situation of the quarrel from the unresolved past grudge, I stood up and did a little stretch on my young body.

By flexing the muscles in my arms, body, and legs, I make everyone in the tent worried.

"B-Brother? What are you doing?" Vivian asked with a pale expression.

"Isn't that obvious? I'm going to look for expired medicine to slower the poison that's spreading in my body," I replied with a straight face.

At that moment, Vivian's face turned pale and she screamed.

"NO! DON'T DO THAT, BROTHER!" Vivian shouted as she jumped on top of the bed to me.

"HANS! DON'T DO SOMETHING SO RECKLESS LIKE THAT!" shouted Liliana, who also jumped towards me.

 Bugghh...

 Booiinngg...

 Booiinngg...

I, who was standing beside the bed, felt the embrace of a two body with breasts of different sizes.

As the ex-wife of my deceased father, Liliana has large breasts and still looks firm, while Vivian, who is still in the growth phase, also wants to follow in her mother's size breasts, but is still in the basic stage of development.

 Booiinngg...

 Booiinngg...

"What are you two doing?" I asked Liliana and Vivian at the same time as their breasts pressed against mine.

"B-Brother, you're going to do something as reckless as before, right?" Vivian replied, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"What I did earlier had to be done, so that you could be safe," I replied without knowing the context of what Vivian was saying.

"I know! But I don't want to survive and seeing you to lose your memory again!" Vivian screamed as she hugged my body even tighter.

 Srruugg...

 Booiinngg...

Thanks to Vivian's breasts, which were still developing and would become large one day, I also felt an outpouring of love from my stepfamily, who liked me.

I could have stopped my intention to do this, but it would have an impact on my future life, which has a small magic core and cannot cast one of the Gunsmith skill abilities that can be on par with magic power.

I don't want to do this, but situation have forced me.

"Mell... put them both to sleep," I said, giving orders to Melissa.

"Yes, Master Hans." Melissa carried out my orders and knocked out my stepfamily until they pass out.

Melissa carefully laid Liliana and Vivian on the bed, next to Elaina, who had been silent all this time without saying a word.

I ignored her, who still half-naked and silent. Then my hand pick up, who was Hoshino lying on the table.

 Ctaakk...

While attaching Hoshino's holster to my belt, I checked the remaining bullets in the magazine before leaving this emergency tent.

 Buugghh...

Before I could leave this emergency tent, I suddenly felt a hug from Elaina.

"Again and again... you will do something so dangerous and difficult for me to understand, Hans," Elaina whispered with her lips now kissing the nape of my neck.

 Chuupp...

With the kiss happening so quickly, I glanced at Elaina, who was smiling wryly at me.

 Chuupp...

 Slurp...

The second kiss from Elaina happened. This time, my lips received a kiss that made me feel Elaina's anxiety and worry about me being hard to understand like this.

Before the kiss broke, I could feel something cold on my neck, and it came from Melissa's lip kiss.

After my kiss left Elaina's lips, Melissa turned my body to feel her lips kissing me quickly.

 Chuupp...

 Slurp...

At this point, I had no idea what this NPC I was possessing had done. This NPC's relationship and intimate love affair had forced me to share a kiss with a future honorable knight and a maid who had pledged her loyalty to me.

Melissa's kiss broke, and made me see her worried look.

"I know that Master Hans will do something crazy again and I will be assigned to look after your stepfamily, Am I right?"

"Yes, I'm counting on you on this."

 "I thought so."

I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but having a maid who is a former Assassin would be reliable like this.

Then, I walked out of this emergency tent.
