Chapter 64- The MoonBlood Temple

POV Rhiannan

She thought it was a council meeting.

Just a standard gathering, villagers checking in, tradesmen reporting supplies, nobles updating village stats. She was used to those now. Five villages, each with their own leaders, their own flavor.

But when she and her mates arrived at the central square, the spot where the five roads of the villages braided like a star, something felt different.

Torches were lit. Musicians played soft harmonies. People stood in respectful silence, flowers braided into their hair, offerings held in baskets.

And at the center, on a platform of stone dusted with petals, stood the five village lords and ladies, flanked by their nobles.

Lady Halarae of Starlight Ridge stepped forward first, bowing so deeply her forehead touched her knees.

"We wish to build a temple," she said. "To you, Queen Rhiannan. And to the goddess who birthed you."

Rhiannan froze.

A temple?

"To leave offerings," Lord Darnik of Thornhelm said gently. "To honor the force that saved us."

"To pray for strength," added Lady Bryla Emberforge of Emberreach. "To give thanks for the miracles we've seen with our own eyes."

Children stepped forward with small bundles of moss and painted stones. Elders offered carved wood figures and blessed water. One woman laid a crocheted star woven with strands of her late daughter's hair.

They believed.

Not just in her leadership, but in her divinity.

POV Kaleb

Before she could speak, Kaleb stepped forward, eyes blazing.

"We'll build it," he said. "Not someday... now."

Arwen grinned, already flicking up sketches in the air with a flick of elemental light. "White stone. Gold trim. Moonlight domes."

Liam laughed. "Statues with her boobs carved just right."

Sable's tail twitched with amusement. "I'll handle the obsidian warding. No one desecrates this place."

Elisha nodded solemnly. "We'll place it where all five roads meet. It will stand forever."

Azarion raised his palm, a glowing circle of divine fire blooming. "I'll bless the grounds myself."

Rhiannan blinked hard against tears.

They were serious.

This wasn't some symbolic gesture. It was happening.

POV Nythera (Divine Realm)

The moon glowed soft and full over the realm of stars. Nythera watched, hands folded over her heart, her guardians beside her.

"They chose her," Veyra whispered. "Without command. Without bribe."

"They see her," murmured Orin.

"They worship her," Serelion added with reverence.

Nythera's smile broke across the sky like dawn.

"She will be unstoppable," she whispered.

@QueenRhiannan (verified):

I don't know what to say except… thank you.

The MoonBlood Temple is being built. Not for power. But for connection.

To the divine. To each other.

To something bigger than pain.

POV Rhiannan

She hadn't slept that deeply in years.

When she woke, the triplets were already snuggled against her, two drooling on her chest and one gripping a lock of her hair like it owed him rent. Her mates were spread across the bed like sexy guardian gargoyles. It was the kind of morning that didn't feel like war.

It felt like peace.

But also? Hunger.

Breakfast was chaos.

Azarion tried to feed the babies mashed fruit while Liam made innuendos about "jam sticky fingers." Arwen was shirtless, flipping pancakes with wind magic, and Kaleb had coded a gravity spell into the coffee pot so it floated to her with every sip.

Sable only grunted, he was not a morning demon, but he held the babies like they were breakable diamonds.

And then, one by one, they all stood, kissed her, kissed the triplets, and left.

"We'll make the temple sing," Elisha promised.

"Perfection or nothing," Kaleb added.

"Don't let Liam carve any boobs," Sable muttered.

Too late.

Meanwhile…

Rhiannan and Reyna moved with purpose. They had one girl on their minds: Tavira.

The mage girl who held her people's ward for seven hundred days. While starving. While terrified. With a toddler on her hip.

They found her art the outreach center near MoonHollow, helping rebuild housing with glowing hands and zero complaints.

Tavira turned when she heard them approach, eyes wide and haunted, the kind of eyes that had seen too much and survived anyway.

Reyna knelt in front of her gently. "You ever want to learn how to do what I do?"

Tavira blinked.

"You're an Oracle," she whispered. "You teach that?"

Rhiannan smiled. "We teach everything. The way you held those wards? That wasn't survival, that was divine resonance. You're more than a survivor. You're a force."

Tavira's lip quivered.

"And your brother," Reyna added, reaching out to the boy peeking from behind a log with a dirt smudged face and glowing fingertips, "can learn too. Sasha says he sees ley lines."

"What?" Tavira gasped. "But he's only.."

"Seven," Rhiannan said. "And probably smarter than Liam."

Back at the castle courtyard, Faenet lit up:

@QueenRhiannan (verified):

The MoonBlood Temple is being raised.

My mates are building it.

I'm building the future.

Today, we invited a girl who held wards for 700 days to train with Reyna and the dream team.

Because sometimes the strongest weapons… are the ones who never knew they were chosen.

POV The Mates

The clearing had been chosen, a sacred spot where the five roads of the villages braided together like the lines on Rhiannan's palm. Centered. Balanced. Blessed.

Kaleb was already pacing, his tech tablet in one hand, the other waving at Sasha's projection.

"This needs to be structurally reinforced with both magic and molecular engineering. We're not just building a temple. We're building a stronghold."

Sasha's hologram rolled her eyes. "Just say you want it to outlast the apocalypse, Big Daddy Architect."

Arwen stretched, leather jacket flaring, then cracked his neck with a grin. "We doing pirate baroque, haunted forest chic, or divine badassery?"

"Divine badassery," Elisha rumbled. "But with fireproofing. In case Kazra ever visits."

Liam lounged on a floating stone, shirt open, fangs barely tucked in, sketching temple statue positions on the air with glowing blood runes.

"I'm just saying, if we don't sculpt Rhi's boobs at exact scale, the people will riot."

Sable, who had been silently etching protective wards into obsidian slabs with his claws, growled, "I riot if you do."

"Jealous, horn dog?" Liam winked.

"I will throw you into a volcano," Sable replied sweetly.

Their magic rose in waves.

Kaleb summoned crystalline white pillars grown from tech infused marble, layered with warded circuitry and starlight conduits. He embedded ancient spell drives in the altar's foundation, muttering calculations.

"Sasha, log this as 'Kaleb's Temple Code Alpha-Fire'."

"You naming spells after yourself now?" Azarion snorted as he conjured blazing light across the dome's peak. His divine flame curved upward, forming a golden moon crest above the altar.

"She deserves a temple that sings with protection," Azarion said more softly, his fingers trailing sparks along the stone.

Elisha worked in silence, laying down enchanted dragonsteel runes along the walls. He hummed as he shaped spires that shimmered with elemental wind and fire, his magic ancient and slow burning.

He glanced up once. "She gave me my heart back. This place will never fall."

Arwen layered in illusion magic, embedding protective forest echoes, vines that shimmered with soul energy, and glass windows that told Rhiannan's story in color shifting faelight.

He smirked, nudging Liam. "Put your vampire sex magic somewhere useful. We need emotional resonance. Art. Drama."

"Darling," Liam said, twirling a blood-forged chisel, "have you met me?"

He inscribed the inner arch with a spell that would amplify every prayer with warmth and hope, and a tingle. Just a little one.

Sable stood last.

He pressed his clawed hand to the altar stone and poured in pure shadowfire, wrapping the entire temple in a hidden veil, a cloaking ward no enemy would ever breach.

"This is her sacred space," he murmured. "No fucking nightmares get in."

And then… he smiled.

A real one.

Hours passed.

By nightfall, the MoonBlood Temple stood, an ethereal marvel of glowing magic and primal beauty. Gold-veined marble. Enchanted flames. Guardian wards. An eternal moon crest that shimmered with power.

They all stood in front of it, dust covered and magic drained.

"She's gonna cry," Kaleb muttered.

"She's gonna jump us all," Liam said, licking his lips.

"Let her," Elisha smirked.
