In the afternoon, I went to the hospital with my face burnt.

The doctor looked at the scars on my face and sighed with sympathy.

"This is the seventh time, isn't it?"

Yes.

Every year on this day, I bring my injuries to this hospital for assessment.

It's always this doctor who attends to me.

Her computer stores all my injury assessment records.

During every treatment, she tirelessly advises me to get a divorce.

But I can't bear to leave An'an and don't want to break up this family, so I silently endure.

Yet today I found out that my seven years of tolerance and persistence were nothing more than a complete joke.

From the doctor, I received my seventh injury report, and I know it will be the last one.

On the way home, I booked a ticket to leave the next evening and contacted a divorce lawyer.

Leaving might be the best relief for me.

When I got home, all the mess had been cleaned up, even the broken furniture replaced with brand new sets.

There was no trace of the chaos that had erupted here ten hours ago.

And Li Weiwei happened to come out of the kitchen, carrying a plate of stewed beef with potatoes.

"You've come back, must be hungry. Try the dish I made especially for you."

Li Weiwei's eyes were filled with loving smiles.

Her demeanor of a virtuous and kind woman was a stark contrast to her madness.

I wasn't too surprised, this is Li Weiwei; every time her madness ends, she reverts back to the virtuous wife and mother.

"I'm sorry for losing control and poisoning you this morning. Forgive me this last time, I promise it won't happen again."

Li Weiwei is like a program with a fixed pattern, circulating for seven years: poison—madness—apology.

Usually, after her apology, I would feel heartache.

But this time, I just looked at her calmly.

Seeing my indifference, her eyes flickered, as if unable to comprehend my sudden sense of detachment.

An'an rushed over at this moment, hugging my legs and charmingly saying, "Daddy, forgive Mommy this time!"

"An'an and Mommy love Daddy the most!"

The deep affection on their faces didn't seem fake; every detail concealed nothing.

Yet, the thought of their mother-daughter conversation just makes me sick!

To ease the awkwardness, Li Weiwei took out a watch she had prepared from her pocket, full of emotion:

"Today is our tenth wedding anniversary; this watch is for you, happy anniversary."

She placed the watch on the table, and for a moment, I doubted whether I had heard wrong?

Ten years of marriage, she remembered our anniversary?

Since Lin Wei's death, hasn't she only acknowledged today as Lin Wei's memorial day?

Her next words made it clear to me why.

"You know, Lin Wei always was alone, longing for the warmth of a home."

"I want to display Lin Wei's photo at home; can you accept it?" As she spoke, her expression was somewhat evasive.

No wonder she suddenly remembered this day, she had ulterior motives all along.

"Alright."

I nodded calmly.

Not only can his photo be displayed at home, even his memorial tablet can be moved here.

Because after tonight, I will leave.

"You... you agreed?"

Perhaps my quick reply was unexpected for her.

Li Weiwei looked at me with the corner of her eye several times.

After returning to the bedroom, she came out again holding a family photo she had synthesized for Lin Wei and An'an.

Li Weiwei, holding the picture frame, explained, "Lin Wei's only wish before he died was to have a family with me. I'm just fulfilling his wish; don't take it to heart too much."

Looking around the walls of the house, she selected the best spot.

There hung a photo of the three of us.

Without hesitation, she took it down.

She hung the photo with Lin Wei up there, standing to admire her work.

And our family photo was casually swept into the trash can by her.

Evidently, this was a decision she had long planned.

The so-called consultation was merely her informing me.

I declined her invitation to return to the master bedroom together.

Sleeping in the living room at least won't make me feel sick.

At this moment, the lawyer messaged me that to proceed with a lawsuit, evidence of poisoning was needed.

Without hesitation, I forwarded the injury assessment prepared by the doctor to the divorce lawyer.

I slept on the sofa in the living room.

That night, I slept exceptionally peacefully.
