Maybe I've been too lost in thought recently, acting so strangely that Zhou Sinian felt a lot of urgency inside.

The next day when he came back, he surprisingly pulled out two concert tickets from his pocket.

It was for my favorite pianist, scheduled for eight o'clock tomorrow morning.

But he doesn't know that at six o'clock tomorrow morning, I will completely leave this world.

This concert, he is destined to watch alone.

After putting down the tickets, Zhou Sinian got ready to cook, but before he could step into the kitchen, a phone call interrupted him.

"There's a problem at the company that needs help."

"I might have to go over and check it out, probably won't make it back for dinner. Should I order takeout for you? Tomorrow after the concert, we can have a candlelight dinner at the restaurant."

After hanging up the phone, Zhou Sinian frowned and explained to me.

"Go ahead."

I forced a bitter smile.

Only after getting my consent did he hurry out.

But he wouldn't know that there will be no candlelight dinner; tonight will be the last dinner he will have with me.

After Zhou Sinian left, I looked around the villa, reminiscing every moment since I came into this world.

In my original world, I had no relatives or ties, so I had no hesitation in choosing to bind with the System and become a strategist.

When I learned that this world is based on a novel focused on heartbreak, depicting the breakups and reunions of the main characters, and that Zhou Sinian is the male supporting character who secretly loves the female lead, I was immediately drawn to his tragic past.

He is an illegitimate child, with a lineage that cannot see the light, and my mission was to successfully redeem him.

Perhaps it was empathy, or perhaps in his solitude, I saw someone like myself. I devoted all my energy to him, telling him that being an illegitimate child was not his fault, bit by bit pulling him out of darkness. The original plot of the novel changed, and I thought I had succeeded.

But reality proved me terribly wrong. Looking at the shining wedding ring on my hand, I slowly took it off.

The ring had been on for ten years, never taken off, and had deeply embedded into the flesh, causing piercing pain when removed.

I still remember the moment Zhou Sinian personally put the ring on me on our wedding day; it seemed too perfect to be true.

He vowed to protect me for a lifetime, to never let me suffer any harm.

But he broke that promise.

The relationship between us, turned out to be no different from this ring; once removed, only pain remains.
