“Are you okay?” Phoenix asked, his voice deep and husky.

“Uh huh,” she replied, her voice a husky whisper in his ear.

“You sure?”

“Yes.”

“Squeeze your legs tighter around my hips. Like that,” he growled, unable to hide the Wolf.

“Okay,” she whispered breathlessly in his ear.

“Is that alright?”

“Yes. It feels good.”

“Good.”

Next, Phoenix gunned the engine of the powerful machine between his legs. He and his Pack mates had added custom improvements to their bikes to support their massive weights, and the increased speeds they preferred. Not that he would speed with his mate riding behind him.

Her safety was tantamount to all else. His Wolf growled softly in his chest. The beast still preening that she’d approved of him. It had been touch and go for a moment back then. But she was brave, his mate. Strong and courageous.
