JOSEF
When I came back from checking the security teams and the biometric alarm system I’d installed personally in Marat and Destiny’s new home, I couldn’t find her.
My Little Red was missing.
At first, I thought maybe she’d gone to the restroom. So, like a fucking stalker, I waited outside the one designated for ladies for ten full minutes.
But no Meredith.
Then, I texted her. I waited another couple of minutes.
No reply.
I tried to track the thing, but of course the security system I installed also messed with any tracking software inside the home, so that was moot.
Curiosity turned to annoyance.
Annoyance to anger.
Anger to rage.
Then rage to worry.
And that was the fucking worst of it.
I was worried my wife of less than two months had walked out on me. Like some lovesick fucking boy, I panicked.
I was so scared that Meredith, my Little Red, had finally wised up to the fact that I was so fucking beneath her she decided to leave me.
No. I can’t let that happen.
