Castor had been helping the last few days and knew what to do. She felt guilty for not being able to dedicate more time to finding his family, but even in a place the size of Maccon City, it was slow going.
Once they were in her car, she turned to him, having forgotten he’d asked a question just a while ago. The engine started quickly, but visibility was low. She used every precaution before turning onto the street. Her parents’ house was a bit farther away than she’d have liked in this weather, but Jozi had grown up in Maccon City. She knew a few back roads that might prove better than the bumper to bumper traffic on Main.
“What was it you were going to say?”
“Oh,” Castor continued, hands braced in front of him. “I was going to ask if there was a more current listing of residents than the one you gave me?”
