“For the love of farts!”
Elissa Maverick growled playfully as baby Melly flung a spoonful of mashed peas at her while little Celia added some butternut squash to the mix.
“What is going on in here?”
Kylie came running into the Pride House kitchen to see Armageddon, baby food style, taking place.
“Organic food has a calming quality, my round ass,” growled the Nari.
Jessica joined the two women, and all three broke out in giggles as the twin girls continued to wage war against their mama for feeding them mashed veggies.
“They’re Tiger cubs, Liss, you know they want meat,” Jessica told her sister-in-law.
“I know that, but vegetables are a necessity. Her mate said so,” the Nari returned and pointed at Kylie, who smartly raised her hands in surrender.
It still surprised her when someone mentioned her mate. True, she’d been mated a few months now, but as one half of a new couple, she was tickled by the moniker.
“Where is Doc Mikey, anyway?” Jess asked.
