Chapter Eleven

The next few days sped by in a haze of steamy nights and laughter filled days. Cole liked having Megan with him. As in he really, really liked it. Being with her was a whole new level of commitment he didn’t even realize was missing from his life. He’d asked her to move in, but she’d signed a monthly rental agreement and had three weeks left. But she’d said yes. and that meant everything.

“Hey, lily, when am I gonna meet your people?” he asked.

He parked carefully, making sure she had room to open the door on the crowded sidewalk. Megan didn’t answer until they got out of his truck and ambled up the stairs to her rental. She didn’t seem to like talking about her family or her Pride, but he understood little of the reason.

“I thought you knew some of the Pride already?” she asked.

“I’ve met Hunter and his mate. Brayden and Jessica, too. But what about your parents? Your siblings?”

“Oh,” she replied, pausing on the steps. “I hadn’t thought of that. Do your parents know about me?”
