"Alright, that's enough for today. You two can go back now!" Mr. Hughes didn't pay attention to Leyton's struggle and waved his hand, signaling them to leave.
Leyton only felt the scene before his eyes suddenly blur, turning into a brightly colored oil painting. The surrounding scenery rapidly receded, and when Leyton regained his senses, he was already standing in his bedroom.
"Boss! We're back!" Bugs Bunny bounced around, feeling quite magical.
"Hmm, go back to your little den and lie down," Leyton said, no longer bothering with the energetic rabbit.
Leyton leaned back in a nearby chair, lost in thought: "Should I pray to the God of Knowledge or not?"
After hesitating for a long time, Leyton still decided to pray to the Hidden Sage first and ask for his opinion.
Leyton felt that if he was willing, he could completely establish a stronghold in the Spirit World Depths himself. With the Original Creator acting on his behalf, the Hidden Sage's strength and status should be infinitely close to that of a true god.
After using a Wall of Spirituality to isolate himself and the bedroom, Leyton began to pray to the Hidden Sage:
"Sage who observes the world, eye that peers into truth, embodiment of endless knowledge and numerology!"
After praying, he recounted what had just happened, seeking the Hidden Sage's opinion.
The Hidden Sage's response was quick, with only a short sentence directly appearing in Leyton's mind: "You can pray."
The Hidden Sage's reply was within Leyton's expectations. He had already had some guesses about the relationship between the Hidden Sage and the God of Knowledge.
After receiving an affirmative answer, Leyton didn't hesitate and immediately continued to pray to the God of Knowledge and Wisdom.
"Power of knowledge, power of reason, God of Wisdom."
As soon as Leyton finished reciting the revered name of the prayer, he received a response from the God of Knowledge.
"This response is too fast! Is this really the treatment for a Favored?!" Leyton sighed in his heart.
After feeling his prayer being answered, Leyton hadn't even had time to state his needs when he felt his vision begin to rise infinitely. In just an instant, Leyton felt as if his consciousness had arrived in the Astral World.
An illusory, towering structure, each layer composed of thick books, appeared in Leyton's vision. This tower extended into the sky, as if encompassing the entire world within itself.
Leyton swallowed. He hadn't lost control, so it must have been the God of Knowledge and Wisdom who had provided some concealment.
An elder wearing a hood, revealing his mouth, wrinkles, and white beard, appeared silently before Leyton, holding an open book.
Before Leyton could react, control over his body suddenly vanished. Leyton felt his body begin to digitize, transforming from a flesh-and-blood creature into an information-based being.
A majestic but self-aware consciousness awakened within Leyton's body.
"Newborn Sage!" the elder in front of him mused.
Leyton wanted to say something, but having lost control of his body, he couldn't even make the motion of opening his mouth.
"I understand your request, and I grant it!" After saying this, the elder's figure vanished from where he stood, as if he had never appeared.
The towering structure, accumulated from countless books, fell downwards like a phantom. Leyton's vision also continuously descended until it appeared in the Spirit World Depths.
Leyton's spirituality trembled. At this moment, Leyton felt more than a dozen gazes cast upon him. They were either Hidden or frank, some curious, some indifferent, and some full of malice, but each gaze was terrifying enough.
The mass of data that Leyton had transformed into quietly fell into "Concealment" at this moment, and at the same time, three "Concealed" auras were also added to the data that Leyton had transformed into.
The "Concealed" existence made everything silent. Those gazes cast over did not notice the inconspicuous Leyton. Except for one gaze with a sense of tranquility, which seemed to linger on Leyton for a moment.
The next moment, this towering structure, accumulated from countless books, collapsed with a roar, and the books continuously scattered. The surrounding Spirit World also began to change, with rows of bookshelves emerging from all directions, and the scattered books began to automatically sort themselves and place themselves onto the bookshelves.
Tiny brass-colored Shimmer quickly moved, outlining one mysterious symbol after another, and walls, floors, and furnishings were rapidly constructed. A magnificent Library thus appeared in Leyton's vision, as if it had become a part of the Spirit World.
The aura of "Hidden" began to permeate the interior of the Library, isolating all gazes.
Leyton's spirituality spontaneously began to overflow outwards. Waves of complex information, in an illusory form, surged from Leyton's consciousness, flowing into every corner of this Library, coating the interior of this magnificent Library with a layer of faint, colorless glow.
This information finally condensed into a physical object in the center of the Library, a ring constructed from countless gears and machinery, with sparks and smoke constantly rising from it.
As soon as this ring appeared, it began to split, eventually forming three incomplete rings. The three rings, like the triangle of destiny, were independent but also partially overlapped.
An Omniscient Eye suddenly appeared in the center of the leftmost ring.
An eye without eyelashes, composed of discontinuous distorted lines, appeared in the center of the uppermost ring.
An image of an open book, formed by several distorted lines interwoven and outlined, appeared in the center of the right ring.
When all three rings were formed, the entire Library also stopped changing, and the entire scene was thus solidified in the Spirit World Depths, with only the three incomplete rings in the center of the Library slowly rotating individually.
Leyton's consciousness began to fall again, and the feeling of weightlessness lasted for one breath. When Leyton regained his senses, he was back in his bedroom, his body still leaning back in the chair.
"Phew~ That scared me to death! It's likely that all those beings who could cast their gaze over there looked at it!" Leyton murmured softly.
The commotion just now was much greater than Leyton had expected, especially in the Spirit World Depths. The moment he felt those gazes, Leyton felt that the mass of information he had transformed into was about to explode. Although most of those gazes were curious and calm, there were also quite a few with malice.
"No wonder he wanted me to pray to the God of Knowledge and Wisdom. If the Hidden Sage had done this, it might really not have been completed," Leyton muttered.
"But the God of Knowledge and Wisdom didn't have it easy either. There were quite a few malicious gazes just now. I estimate that the Hanged Man, Amon, Storm, Eternal Blazing Sun, and even those Outer Deities, every single one of them wanted to cause trouble, but none of them wanted to be the first to act," Leyton calculated and found that one hand was not enough to count them all.
The God of Knowledge was not much better off than the Hidden Sage, but as one of the Seven Orthodox Gods, his status and identity were more convenient, and most importantly, he was not a solitary figure like the Hidden Sage.
"But what exactly was the God of Knowledge's operation at that time? Did he project his Divine Kingdom into the Spirit World? What does it mean for the ring to be divided into three? Were the permissions divided into three parts? Or was it a differentiation of the corresponding authorities? And at that moment, there was a lot of 'Hidden' applied to me!" Leyton closed his eyes, recalling the scene just now.
This matter was temporarily concluded, but Leyton's doubts did not diminish at all. It seemed that the Hidden Sage or the Knowledge Moor had secretly cooperated with some gods.
Leyton rubbed his somewhat agitated head, temporarily suppressing this high-level information, and then began to try to see what new changes the ring had.
Closing his eyes and beginning to meditate, Leyton outlined the appearance of the ring in his mind, and his spirituality also began to vibrate accordingly.
A somewhat incomplete brass-colored ring slowly appeared behind Leyton. The center of the ring was no longer empty; it now contained the image of an open book outlined by several distorted lines.
Leyton's consciousness felt a deeper connection with the Spirit World, and he could even see some of the Spirit World's vision without using Spirit Vision. There was also something in the Spirit World Depths that resonated with the ring on his body.
"The consumption of my own spirituality is lower, and I can more easily borrow the power of the Spirit World to complete spells, and I also have a high resistance to information corruption from the Spirit World," Leyton silently recited the changes in the ring in his heart.
"Most importantly, the magnificent Library in the Spirit World now seems to have become a central processor, building a local area network for this system. No wonder Mr. Hughes said that this would have to withstand a massive information flow. He had already seen and perfected my idea before!" Leyton thought to himself, feeling a subtle sense of unease. He always felt that Mr. Hughes was not an ordinary Wisdom Angel.
