Chapter 60: Stunning The Marines.

The distance between the warship and Vane's King was about two hundred meters. It was definitely too far for cannon fire to be effective. Even if the attack reached Vane, it would be useless. Against ordinary fighters, cannons might be a threat, but not to top-tier combatants.

"What a hassle!"

Kizaru rubbed his wrinkled forehead, sounding helpless in his weary tone.

At such a long range, only Aokiji's powers were more effective.

"Let me handle this!"

At that moment, Garp stepped forward. Kizaru turned and saw Garp gripping a massive cannonball in his right hand—a black orb about two meters in diameter. No one knew its exact weight, but it was heavier than any marine except Kizaru himself. Everyone there was impressed.

"Vice Admiral Garp, your actions are truly astonishing,"

Kizaru remarked with a sigh.

"I'm about to make my move, haha!"

Garp laughed heartily, hoisting the cannonball and fiercely hurling it toward Vane.

"Vice Admiral Garp is incredible!"

"If only I had a tenth of his strength!"

"One tenth? One percent is enough for me!"

"With Garp here, who fears the Fire Sword God?"

The marines grew excited, eyes fixed on the massive cannonball as it arced toward Vane's ship. Even without exploding, such a projectile could severely damage or sink a vessel.

Iron Fist Garp—his sheer power was legendary.

"Vice Admiral Garp… no, this isn't an ordinary pirate. Such cannonballs won't even faze him,"

Kizaru muttered, frustrated.

"Of course I know that!"

Garp smiled. Behind him, the navy had already rolled out two large racks of standard cannonballs, about the size of bowling balls. These were thrown casually by Garp, a master of physical prowess—no ordinary routine. He tossed them effortlessly, like skipping stones.

Vane eyed the looming black shadow, leapt into the air, and kicked the cannonball into the sea.

He could fly, so at this moment, he hovered in the air, fixing his gaze on Garp.

More cannonballs rained down from the warship—it was Garp again.

There was no way Vane could block them all individually. Turning his body sideways, he raised his right fist and rapidly gathered his strength.

"That stance!"

As a legendary marine from the old era, Garp was naturally familiar with Whitebeard's fighting style. Seeing Vane's pose, he paused mid-throw.

Click!

A cracking sound echoed—heard only by Vane and Kalifa—then the atmosphere seemed to fracture.

Vane's fist twitched, stirring up endless water.

The sea between the warship and Vane began to churn violently, resembling a stormy ocean. The warship itself rocked wildly.

Dozens of cannonballs exploded midair as they hit the turbulent water.

"This power!"

"I think I see Whitebeard!"

Garp's expression darkened, shocked by Vane's power. The Explosion Fruit?More like the Shock Fruit, A Devil Fruit considered the most powerful. Now, such power had emerged in this new generation.

It was impossible not to be impressed.

A massive wave surged, like a tsunami controlled by Vane's power, pressing down toward the warship.

"This is terrifying! Are these gods or demons?"

"What do we do now?"

"A monster!"

The tsunami was six to seven hundred meters long and thirty to forty meters high. It struck directly from Vane's King. How powerful was this for an ordinary marine? Gods? Demons? Monsters? The navy could only watch in horror.

The warships rocked violently, seeming ready to collapse.

Even Kizaru and Garp were shaken.

"Blue Pheasant isn't here, so this is all we can do,"

Kizaru said helplessly. The battle was only a few hundred meters from the Sabaody Archipelago. Nothing catastrophic would happen, but such a huge wave could overturn warships or cause other damage.

"Attention all naval forces: hold on to anything secure! The warship is about to capsize!"

Garp shouted. Despite the shock, he kept calm, focusing on protecting the marines.

"If he's the Explosion Fruit user, I believe it. Only that man could create such tsunamis, and now there's another monster!"

Garp murmured to himself. He glanced behind at the navy clutching handrails and poles, feeling some relief. The impact was terrifying, but they were holding on.

Kizaru had his hands in his pockets, while Garp stood firmly, unshaken by the waves. Strong men like them had faced countless storms—they wouldn't be intimidated now.

But that boy—Vane—was truly terrifying.

"It seems he'll escape again this time. Compared to two months ago, his strength has clearly grown. Last time, he wasn't quite admiral-level, but now? He's at that level or even beyond!"

Kizaru sighed. The pace of his growth was astonishing—surpassing even those who'd been called monsters in their youth.

"With this power, he might be the next strongest man in the world."

As the huge wave approached, the night sky darkened under its shadow. The navy struggled to see clearly.

Just as the wave neared and met the sails, Vane pressed both palms to the sea surface, activating a terrifying freezing power. In less than three seconds, the seawater in front of him—including the massive wave—froze solid, halting the tsunami. It encased the navy's warship like a massive icy dome.

For a moment, Garp and the others were stunned.
