Chapter 11: "Villain Arc…?"

Chapter 11: "Villain Arc…?"

Kairo saw a strange dream someone was watching him again. But this time, he didn't wake up in fear. No shaking. No panic.

He opened his eyes under the open sky, stretched his arms, and muttered with a cold grin,

"Today... I'm gonna f*ck everyone up."

All night, he had trained alone in his inner domain. Something had changed. Even he didn't understand what he'd unlocked. Whatever it was—it wasn't normal.

He wasn't normal anymore.

Just then, Lyna stirred beside him.

"Good morning, Kairo~" she yawned, still half-asleep.

He glanced at her with a calm smile. "Morning, Lyna."

She blinked. "You're looking… happy today. Aren't you?"

"Yeah, I am. I don't care what happens today. I'm just gonna win."

He sounded confident. Maybe a little too confident. But deep inside, the thoughts still came—

What if I die again? Who dies with me next?

But this time, he whispered to himself,

"Scr*w it. I'm done being scared. I'll win… or burn trying."

After breakfast and a short workout, he looked at Lyna.

"Let's head back to the real world."

"Wait—are you even ready?"

"More than ready," he grinned. "Let's go."

As they stepped into the real world, Kairo raised his hand and fired a blast.

BOOM! A tree exploded into fragments.

Lyna's jaw dropped.

"WTF?! That was INSTANT??"

She immediately scanned him using her powers.

Her eyes widened.

"This… this isn't possible. Your stamina... your domain... it's almost infinite!"

Kairo chuckled. "I wanna test something."

He grabbed Lyna's hand and focused. Then fired.

BOOOOOM!!!

A massive explosion almost nuclear.

"It was a bit hard," he said casually, "but not that much."

The ground shook beneath him.

But then he swayed.

"Ah sh*t… I'm cooked."

He fell to his knees, panting.

He hadn't realized how much energy he was draining.

"Yep. Totally cooked…"

Suddenly—

SFX: WHOOSH!

Monster troops appeared behind him. No warning. No time.

1... 2... 3...

SLASH!

They were all instantly sliced down.

It was Lyna.

She stood with her sword gleaming.

"Kairo, you forgot about me? Hmph~" she smirked.

He laughed. "Not bad. Not bad at all."

But the fight wasn't over.

More monsters swarmed—all targeting Kairo now.

"LYNA! COVER ME!" he shouted, trying to concentrate.

Golden spirit energy wrapped around him like a shield.

Lyna dashed around him, slicing down monsters, giving him space.

But then—

BAM!

A strike hit Lyna from behind. She collapsed, swarmed by monsters.

"LYNA—!"

Suddenly, smoke spread. Silence fell.

Then—

SPLAT! SLASH! CRACK!

Every monster… died. Blood rained.

"H-How?!" one gasped.

Another screamed, "WHO DID THAT?!"

Kairo walked out from the smoke, golden energy flaring around him.

He looked at Lyna and smirked,

"Your turn to forget me, huh~?"

They fought side by side.

Monsters screamed. Blood splattered.

Kairo grinned like a maniac.

"I don't know why... but I'm starting to like this."

He grabbed one monster's finger—CRACK!

Pulled out a nail SPLURT!

The thing screamed in agony.

"Villain arc unlocked~ 😂"

From behind, the surviving monsters panicked.

"BRO, RUN! HE'S NOT NORMAL!"

"HE'S MORE INSANE THAN THE MAIN CHARACTER!!"

Kairo: "HAHA! I LIKE THAT!"

Then he saw the leader—the same monster who'd once killed him.

"How should I torture you~?"

He cracked the monster's arm.

The monster cried, "I-I'm sorry! Please spare me!"

Kairo paused.

"...I'm not that evil. Just go. And never come back."

The monster fled, broken and crying.

In the shadows, two glowing red eyes watched.

"I knew it," a voice whispered. "He's awakening."

Later, Lyna congratulated him.

"That was only possible because of you," Kairo said, smiling.

She blushed.

"Y-You're flirting now?"

"You're cute when you blush."

She rolled her eyes but smiled too.

"Let's rest a bit."

Kairo nodded, laying back under the broken sky.

The storm was over… for now.

Chapter End.

Author's Note:

I kept this chapter focused and didn't stretch it too long on purpose because I believe quantity ≠ quality. Long chapters can start to feel boring if they don't stay engaging. And while this scene might not hit as hard just through text, if it were animated, with visuals, sound, and emotion, you'd definitely feel the power behind it. Thanks for reading!
