Chapter 31

Outpost 73 – Isla Nublar

Smoke and dust slowly cleared as Alex flared his wings, dispersing the thick haze and revealing his new form.

His body had transformed dramatically.

Crimson veins glowed faintly beneath his scales, slowly dimming with every breath. His eyes now burned a deep, piercing red, and the spikes lining his back had thickened, jagged and intimidating. His scales shimmered with a rugged, volcanic texture, as though carved from stone, except for the smoother plating beneath his chest and belly.

Four backward-curved horns had sprouted from his head, and two dark, fang-like protrusions now framed his lower jaw like the warbats he had devoured. His tail had extended, ending in a harpoon-shaped spike, bristling with dangerous elegance.

He was massive now. Heavily built. A titan in both name and nature.

Alex glanced over himself instinctively, taking in the changes with silent awe. Then, drawn by an instinctual force, he raised his head toward the sky and let out a roar—deep, ancient, and commanding.

That roar echoed for miles.

---

All across the world, chaos paused.

The rampaging titans—under Ghidorah's call—froze for the briefest moment, as if sensing the shift in balance.

Even Ghidorah, perched atop the Isla de Mara volcano, lifted one head and turned toward Isla Nublar with narrowed, flickering eyes.

In the deep ocean trench, far from battle, a wounded Godzilla stirred in his lair, rearing his head briefly before collapsing again with a low growl.

They had all heard it.

A new Alpha Titan had emerged—and it had just made its presence known.

---

Back at Isla Nublar

Alex exhaled slowly, the power humming beneath his skin. Then it started.

A low thrum rumbled through his spine.

The spikes along his back began to glow—a bright red light pulsing from tail to crown. Electric arcs jumped and danced across his body as he dug his claws into the ground.

His maw, eyes, and nostrils lit up like molten steel.

Then—FWOOM—a thick crimson beam of ionized radiation blasted from his mouth, searing the air with unimaginable heat.

The recoil was immediate and violent—Alex jerked backward, the force knocking him over as a shockwave shattered the ground, throwing debris in all directions.

The blast carved a trench of steam and boiling seawater in the distant ocean, a massive wave forming as displaced water couldn't escape the beam's passage fast enough.

Alex groaned as he rolled to his side.

'Aura -9000,' he thought with dry humor. The beam was far stronger than expected, but clearly devastating. If he ever wanted to use it again without face-planting, he'd need to anchor himself better.

Still... the results were impressive.

Onboard the Argo

The command deck had gone silent.

Serizawa, Sam, Stanton, Mark, Dr. Chen, and several Monarch personnel had been monitoring the black wyvern's re-emergence, still unsure what had caused the momentary pause in the other titans' rampage.

Then they saw the footage.

The black wyvern's new form emerged from the fa hiding smoke—powerful, alien, awe-inspiring—and then… it unleashed its breath weapon. A beam more potent than Godzilla's atomic breath.

No one spoke for a moment.

Then Serizawa finally said, "The black wyvern has clearly evolved into a Titan."

"It's more than that," Dr. Chen added, eyes wide. "That's an Alpha-Class Titan."

"The radiation coming off him is nearly on par with Godzilla's," one technician noted. "Just slightly below."

"You let this thing evolve into a Titan?!" Mark shouted, turning to Serizawa.

"Yes," Serizawa said calmly. "It has never shown hostility to humans unless provoked. We had no reason to interfere."

"And now what?" Mark said, exasperated. "What if it sides with Ghidorah? Godzilla's out. He's too weak to fight."

"Maybe it won't," Stanton interrupted. "Didn't you see? It roared. It challenged him."

Dr. Chen nodded. "Alpha Titans don't submit to others. There's a chance it'll go to Isla de Mara to confront Ghidorah directly."

"But what if it's a destroyer-type?" Sam asked. "Even if it wins, we'd just be swapping one tyrant for another."

"The chances of that are low," Serizawa replied. "Its behavior, even before evolution, didn't show any destructive tendencies. And while its growth and adaptability may seem alien, we've traced its origin back to Indonesia. It's from this Earth. It might understand the balance of our ecosystem… But we still don't know for sure. We'll have to wait and see."

"Sir, you should see this," a technician called from a nearby console, pointing to a monitor.

A red dot flashed on the map—located in the Bermuda Triangle.

"We've detected a massive energy disturbance… a rift. Three lifeforms escaped from it. Size classification matches Kaiju."

Mark stared. "You're telling me some kind of wormhole just opened in the middle of the ocean and three more monsters came through it?"

"Possibly," the woman replied.

The room went quiet as the Argo arrived over Outpost 54—surrounded by a ring of destroyers and military craft.

Stanton threw up his hands. "Oh great, what now?"

---

"I guess you weren't expecting these guys"mark said.

Inside castle bravo -Situation Room

General Stenz stood at the center, facing the assembled Monarch team and military officials. "Moscow, London, Washington D.C.—all under attack," he began. "Across every continent, Titans are triggering earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis. Death tolls are climbing. Infrastructure is collapsing."

He clicked a remote, and new footage appeared on the central display. "For weeks, we've tried luring them away using nuclear material, but they're no longer responding to it. Their behavior has become increasingly erratic."

The room fell into tense silence.

"But that's not even the worst of it."

Another click, and the screens changed again.

"A massive energy spike was recorded in the Bermuda Triangle—an hour ago. Our sensors detected a rupture. A rift. From it, three unknown lifeforms emerged."

Images played of dark waters roiling violently, glowing red at the edges—then monstrous silhouettes surfacing.

"At the time, we couldn't confirm what they were… until ten minutes ago."

He pressed the remote again.

The screen now showed live footage from Japan. Military forces opened fire in vain as three titanic creatures—each with six eyes, massive tusks curling from their lower jaws, glowing blue veins stretching across their segmented bodies—waded ashore. They moved with purpose on six thick limbs, their dual tails swaying behind them.

Tanks and soldiers were crushed beneath them like insects.

"We've tracked their heading. Their destination: Mount Fuji."

The display shifted again, showing a map of Japan, with a flashing red marker on the active volcano.

"We don't know why they're going there—but I don't need to tell you it's not good. With our forces stretched thin and Titans rampaging across the globe… we're running out of options."

He paused, noticing Dr. Ilene Chen hesitating at the edge of the room.

"Doctor Chen. You look like you have something to say."

She straightened. "With respect, General… you're wrong. Their behavior isn't erratic—it's coordinated."

The room stirred at her words.

"Excuse me, sir," Mark Russell stepped forward, supporting her. "As wild as it sounds, the titan and maybe those new creatures? They're acting like a pack. Like predators—organized, not chaotic. And they're following orders."

"Orders?" Diane Foster asked, frowning.

"Yes. From Ghidorah," Mark said. "A false alpha. He's not part of Earth's natural balance, and now everything's following his call. If we stop Ghidorah—we stop them all."

"Is there anything out there that can take on Ghidorah?" Foster asked.

"Yes," Serizawa said firmly. "There's only one Titan left who might stand a chance."

He clicked a tablet, revealing the Black Wyvern.

"It's evolved. We believe it has reached Alpha status—just like Godzilla and Kong."

"And it doesn't follow Ghidorah," Dr. Chen added. "In fact, it may go after him since it's an alpha class titan."

"But now we have a bigger problem," Stanton interjected, pointing at the footage of the alien kaiju in Japan. "Even if the Black Wyvern fights Ghidorah, we've still got three more monsters ripping through cities."

"Then we split our forces," Serizawa said. "One team goes to stall the alien kaiju in Japan. The other supports the Black Wyvern—if it's truly an alpha, it will go to Isla de Mara to challenge Ghidorah."

Mark nodded. "And if it wins—maybe it'll help us stop those things before they destroy everything else."

Serizawa looked at the display of the Wyvern's still-smoldering territory. "It's no longer just about saving one city or stopping one titan. This is about the future of the planet."

End of chapter.
