Chapter 46

Alex snorted and stepped off Kong, launching himself into the sky with a powerful flap of his wings.

Kong groaned, exhausted, his massive frame sprawled across the battered ship. Inside, Jia stood near a window, pressing her fingers to the glass before turning and signing with tired hands, "Thank you, friend."

Dr. Ilene looked from Jia to Kong, then to the silent waters.

"We need to keep moving—while Godzilla is still out of commission."

Dr. Nathan nodded grimly. "Let's not waste the chance."

Florida, Pensacola

The ruins of the Apex facility were quiet, the air heavy with ash and steel.

Bernie, Maddison, and Josh crept through a broken side entrance, slipping past twisted metal and flickering lights until they found the entrance to one of Apex's high-speed maglev trains.

"This thing still works?" Josh whispered.

Bernie smirked. "Apex always makes sure their secrets can travel fast."

The ride was short, silent, and nerve-wracking. They arrived in Shanghai minutes later, hidden beneath one of Apex's untouched mega-facilities.

Slipping out of the train tunnel, they ducked behind storage crates and moving equipment, narrowly avoiding patrols. Eventually, they found themselves in a dark, refrigerated chamber.

A single overhead light buzzed to life.

Dozens of large, leathery eggs lined the floor. Human-sized. Breathing.

Josh took a step back. "They even keep giant eggs now? What the hell is this place?"

Bernie moved closer, examining the embryos suspended inside. "Skullcrawler eggs," he muttered grimly.

Maddison's face twisted in disbelief. "What is Apex doing with Skullcrawler eggs?"

Before anyone could answer, the sound of heavy boots echoed down the hall.

"Hide!" Bernie hissed, and the trio dove behind a maintenance console, holding their breath as the door creaked open…

Hours Later…

Deep in the Hollow Earth, Kong stood before an ancient throne, carved from obsidian and etched with runes lost to time. In his grip was a weapon forged by his ancestors—a massive glowing axe, pulsing with energy.

The moment Kong planted the axe into its designated slot, the ground trembled. A shockwave rippled across the world.

Isla Nublar

Resting atop a cliff, Alex felt it—the unmistakable hum of ancient power.

His eyes snapped open, glowing faintly crimson.

"He crossed the line…" Alex thought darkly, sensing Godzilla's movement across the boundary he had once established.

The Titan King was heading toward Shanghai.

Alex stood slowly, the ground cracking beneath his massive frame.

"It's time."

With a beat of his wings, he took off into the sky, trailing red-hot thermals behind him.

Apex Facility, Shanghai – Underground Command Deck

Inside the central control chamber, alarms flickered red. Technicians scrambled, but Walter Simmons only smiled as he watched the energy signature spike.

"Ohhh, they've found it. Godzilla's responding."

He turned toward the arriving courier with a cold grin. In her hands: the sample his. daughter risked everything to retrieve.

"No time to waste. Power up the Mecha—and pass the sample to Shao Industries," Walter commanded.

Ren Serizawa stepped forward, visibly uneasy.

"The upgrade is untested. We don't know what effect it'll have on the Mecha. And once we activate it, both Godzilla and the Black Wyvern will come for us."

Walter's voice snapped like a whip.

"Just do what I goddamn tell you—and alert Dr. Wu. Tell him to get ready to open the pods."

Shao Industries – Energy Division

The high-security vault opened with a hiss. Newt Geiszler grinned as he walked in holding a tablet.

"Haha—finally. The sample's arrived," he said to Liwen Shao, who watched from behind bulletproof glass.

"Good," she replied. "Has the armor been delivered?"

"Yes, it was shipped out six hours ago. Should be with Apex by now."

Liwen nodded, already moving to her command console.

"Then begin immediate integration. I want all Jaegers equipped with the new energy source—fully operational, no delays."

"Yes, ma'am," Newt responded, already pulling up integration protocols.

As the facility roared to life with machinery and code, none of them realized just how fast their world was spiraling toward extinction.

Shanghai

A heavy silence settled over the ruined city as Godzilla lumbered into the heart of Shanghai, his dorsal fins glowing with intensifying light. He paused, sensing something ancient... something familiar.

Then, with a deafening roar, he reared up, energy crackling through his massive form. A blue beam of nuclear fire erupted from his jaws, tearing through concrete and steel, blasting straight into the Earth—piercing all the way to the Hollow Earth below.

---

Hollow Earth

The ground exploded just meters from Kong, who shielded himself with his arm and let out a furious growl as the blast seared past. His gaze snapped.downwards toward the blinding blue light shining from the surface.

Gripping his new glowing axe, Kong let out a guttural snarl, leapt into the beam-carved shaft, and began descending with primal fury.

Godzilla turned, his tail swinging behind him in anticipation.

A massive hand slammed down on the edge of the crater, followed by the gleaming edge of Kong's axe. The mighty ape hauled himself up, his fur matted with dust and fury burning in his eyes.

Kong stood tall, shoulders squared, and roared—a war cry that echoed through the city. Godzilla answered with a thunderous bellow, the two ancient rivals facing off once more.

But before they could clash—

A gust of wind swept over them.

The clouds above parted violently, and through them descended a massive figure, wings spread wide like a god of war.

Alex landed silently atop a skyscraper, the glass and steel groaning beneath his weight. Four glowing red eyes fixed on both titans below. As the first rays of the rising sun kissed the horizon, his dark, scaled body shimmered like molten obsidian, light glinting off his spines and wings.

For a brief moment, all three apex predators stared each other down—a holy trinity of destruction—as the city trembled beneath them.

The final battle was no longer a question of if—but when.

Shanghai – Moments After Sunrise

The wind howled.

Three apex titans stood in a loose triangle—Godzilla, Kong, and Alex—tension thick in the air. Their glares had shifted from one another to something else... an unknown presence rising from below.

Then—

BOOM.

The ground exploded, sending debris flying in all directions as a massive red beam of energy erupted from the Earth, scorching the sky. The ground split apart as something immense and unnatural clawed its way to the surface.

From the smoke and fire rose a monstrous mechanical wyvern, its metal plating black and crimson, glowing with volatile power. Its wings unfolded with a hiss of steam and magnetic locks. A distorted roar—part mechanical, part living—echoed across the city as it reared its head to the sky.

Mecha-Wyvern.

Then came a deeper rumble—one after another, ten more figures began to claw out of the fractured earth behind it. Some bipedal, some quadrupedal, all monstrous in scale.

Each one gleamed with enhanced metal armor and glowing energy cores embedded into their chests or skulls. These were not natural Titans. They were engineered, each one a hybrid of DNA and machine, Apex's twisted answer to kaiju domination.

Alex's eyes narrowed.

He dropped from the skyscraper like a falling star, wings folding inward before he landed with a thunderous crash beside Godzilla and Kong, cracking the pavement beneath his claws.

The three ancient forces stood shoulder to shoulder now, no longer enemies—at least not for the moment.

Their glares locked onto the mechanical abominations before them.

A low rumble vibrated through the earth, a primal acknowledgment between them.

Enemies yesterday.

Allies today.

Survivors tomorrow—if they could win.

Godzilla growled.

Kong gripped his axe tighter.

Alex spread his wings wide, his red eyes glowing brighter.

Across from them, the Mecha-Wyvern gave a shriek—and charged.
