Vireth park

Lydia's Pov 

" Thank you " I said and she nod 

 " you're welcome, which park are you from?" She questioned but I was stunned, ah I forgot to ask my mother which park we are from .

" vireth park " i heard Delia speaks and I smile grateful to have her for the Frist time .

" I'm from vireth park " I said with a light smile , She nod and held my hand

 " I'm from eldros park and I came here few months ago , my park was engaged in a war with this park and after we were defeated, were held captive and forced to work as a slave for them. I didn't blame this park because our Alpha was the one who killed some of this park members for refusing to betray the Alpha of this park . 

The Alpha of this park is very good and protective of his park members so anyone that pose a threat to his park and his members will not go unharmed . " I nod in realisation at her words but the thing that come to my mind was that why was I here? Did my park members pose a threat to this park? .

" umm... I'm sorry to ask but I don't know why I am actually here " I questioned and she replied " it's a long story , Alpha Luka and his troops attacked the Alpha's sister when she was crossing boarder and the fact is that she was not trespassing but since she didn't agree to be with him , he asked his men to beat her up and she escaped but was really wounded so the Alpha of this park became angry and raid vireth park killing the Alpha and taking the rest park members as captives " she explained and it saddened me greatly . I lost my family through the raiding of our park now I am not sure if my mother and sister are alive . 

I try to fight the tears that threatened to fall but I couldn't, they fall freely showing how helpless I am , now that I've finally got the chance to meet my mother I got separated from her making me angry . 

" even if Alpha Luka did something to anger him why take it on all the park members... Don't he knows that they are innocent people out there " I said my voice cracking with pain and hatered towards the Alpha of this park . 

" don't worry, everything is gonna be okey " Mia Comforted me but the pain in my heart is greater . 

I was still in daze my mind in turmoil until I heard a voice " what are you two busy doing here? , you're gossiping when you still have work to do huh?" came the matron's harsh voice which made me to flinch .

My gaze met with her's and she let out a low growl making goosebumps appeared on my skin , no matter what I'm not still familiar to this werewolf thing . 

I lower my head and wanted to walk pass her , she held my hand firmly . 

" are you the one that arranged the dishes in the south side of the kitchen?" she asked her tone serious which got me scared. " y-yes " I shuttered and she smirked.

" obryn Lydia, you're quite interesting " she said and leave my hand making me feel relieved. " follow me " she instructed and I follow her behind taking a final look at Mia who smile sadly and wave me goodbye, I nod in response following the matron to a beautiful designed house , the guard at the door opened the gate letting me and the woman enter inside .

Entering inside the compound , I was quite impressed, the design was beautiful and look a little modern than what I expected. " you'll be working in the royal kitchen from now on . " she declared which made me sigh in relief, I thought I was about to be punished but fortunately I'm being promoted.. 

She hand over a pair of cloth to me in which in change into it , the cloth look more comfortable and beautiful compared to the other one she gave-me. 

She then directed me to the kitchen, and to my surprise, I saw Felisha the girl who had once claimed to be my friend. I smiled, and she waved at me with warmth in her expression.

The matron led me to the section where the maidens collected meals to serve. Fortunately, that was where Felisha worked too.

Once the matron left, Felisha nudged me playfully and giggled.

"I'm glad you're here," she whispered.

I smiled back, feeling a bit better now that I had found someone I was at least familiar with.

I worked throughout the day, serving meals to the Alpha's family, and by the time it was over, I was completely exhausted.

Felisha led me to the servants' sleeping quarters. I sat down on the lower bunk while she lay on the upper one.

"I thought I'd never see you again," Felisha said, breaking the silence.

I let out a shaky breath. I could sense that Felisha genuinely cared about me, but my mind instantly drifted to my past life to the friend who had betrayed me. She was like a sister to me, yet she had an affair with my fiancé. The memory of planning to pick up my wedding dress with her, only to catch her in bed with him, came rushing back. The pain had shattered me so deeply that it had driven me to take my own life.

Thinking about it made my heart ache all over again. I had truly loved my fiancé he was my first love.

"Lydia?" Felisha spoke again, pulling me out of my thoughts

"Yes," I answered absentmindedly.

"Are you alright?" she asked.

"Yes, I'm okay," I replied.

A heavy silence filled the air before she spoke again. "My family... they're all dead," she said, her voice cracking. "They tried to stop them from attacking but in the end, they were killed."
