I cleared my throat, distracting myself from the tension that has clouded in my mind. I raised my hand, hesitant at first, before knocking on the door lightly. I waited for a few seconds before turning the knob open.
I cleared my throat, distracting myself from the tension clouding my mind. I raised my hand—hesitant, unsure—before knocking lightly on the door. A pause. No response. Slowly, I turned the knob and pushed the door open.
The warm, earthy scent of cedarwood enveloped me instantly. I couldn't help but notice it was the same scent I'd picked up in the Alpha's room earlier. My nose isn't as sensitive as other werewolves', probably because I don't have any wolf in me… or maybe because I've trained myself not to notice things that don't concern me. Smells. Looks. Danger.
I stepped in quietly, wheeling the food courier across the polished floor. My eyes stayed low, not daring to scan the room properly, but I noticed the shelf—the one the blue-eyed boy had pointed out earlier. That was where I was supposed to drop the food and get out. Quick and quiet. Like a shadow.
But I could feel it—eyes. Watching me. Every step I took, every breath I dared to release. The weight of his gaze clung to me like smoke. I was tempted to say something, maybe a soft good evening, maybe a mumbled your food is here, but the warning echoed loud in my head:
Do not speak unless spoken to.
So I said nothing. Just wheeled the food over to the shelf and left it there. And in my mind, I did a small victory dance. A silent cheer. Relief spread through me like sunlight breaking through thick clouds. Maybe I got lucky. Maybe today wasn't the day he decided to notice the invisible girl with no wolf.
But just as I turned to leave—
"You. Bring it here," came his voice—deep, calm, commanding.
I froze. My spine stiffened. My fingers curled into my palms before I slowly turned back. He was at his desk, barely looking up from the papers in front of him.
Didn't that blue-eyed boy say he wouldn't even notice me? My thoughts stumbled over themselves.
Without a word, I obeyed, pushing the courier toward his desk. My hands trembled slightly as I began setting the food in front of him—one dish at a time. The plates clinked softly against the polished wood. My body burned with awareness and I could feel the heat of his eyes as they follow my every move.
Thankfully, I was able to set up the table without breaking any dishes, despite my trembling hands.
" You can leave now"
I've never walked faster in my life —i was out immediately he said those words.

I sighed loudly in relief, crawling into my bed. The day have finally ended and I didn't even had to serve the Alpha during noon and at night—Agatha said he was working late in office in the pack house. Apparently he does it often and sometimes he'll just spend the night there. To my relief...
" Is it that hard? Serving Alpha Kaelith?". Mara chuckled, closing the distance between her bed and mine. She hover above me, shaking her head before settling beside me. " I'd kill to get to see the Alpha during breakfast, lunch and dinner. He's sooooo hot"
I rolled my eyes at that. Of course he's hot but I'm sure he burns just as much.
" His presence is so....."...
"Tensed? Suffocating? Domineering?". I nodded " That all add to the attraction. Have you seen his eyes , they're soooo enchanting. Imagine them looking into your eyes when he's fucking..."..
" Goddess!!! I do not want to hear that ". I covered my ear with my hand to emphasize my words. Mara burst out laughing, muttering something about how I was acting like a ' virgin ass '. her words , not mine.
I dropped my hands from my ears, shooting her a half-hearted glare. "You're impossible," I muttered, trying to refocus my mind on anything but the image she'd just planted in my head. But it was already there—damn it, Mara. Now I couldn't unsee it.
She smirked knowingly, clearly satisfied with her handiwork. "Its a fantasy," she sing-songed. "Alphas like that could ruin you, you know? Tho I'm not sure I'll mind"
My jaw dropped. "Mara!" I gasped, scandalized, but she only laughed harder. "Relax. I'm just playing...not." I groaned, burying my face in my hands as her laughter echoed around the room.
Alpha Kaelith ___
The office was eerie silent, only the sound of paper flipping resonating in the room. Documents were piled on the Alpha's desk .. documents that he has been flipping through for hours now.
There really was no need for him to stay back in office today but the thought of that...green eyes girl had plagued his mind and he needed release.
He thought he'll be able to figure out his attraction to her when he sees her one more time but seeing her today again brought back more intense reaction than the first time he saw her. His wolf who has been agitated calmed down again, giving him peace for the second time in his existence.
But it scared him—oh, it scares him. No one have ever had that much of control on his wolf...not even him and yet in this girl presence, Kale ( his wolf) turns into a dog on lease.
He clenched his jaw, flipping another page without reading a single word. The papers were just a front now—a pathetic excuse to sit alone in his office and try to make sense of the chaos swirling inside him.
Her scent still lingered faintly in his mind, soft and maddening, like wildflower. It tugged at something primal in him, something he had spent years keeping on a tight leash. But now, that leash was slipping, and every time he thought of her—those green eyes—Kale would stir, ears perked.
He leaned back in his chair, running a hand through his hair, frustration bleeding into every movement. "What the hell are you?" he muttered under his breath, not sure if he was asking her or himself.
He couldn't feel her wolf...he knows that for sure but she isn't human too— she doesn't smell like one.
And yet she cracks his armor. Kale had never responded to anyone—not in the heat of battle, not in the presence of powerful Alphas, not even during rut...he was just always unapproachable crazed...always out of control and so unpredictable yet....
