Victoria's Betrayal

Victoria POV

The chain around my wrists was fake, but the tears on my face were real. I sat in the old factory, listening to Marcus Blackwood pace back and forth like a caged animal, waiting for our plan to work.

"They should be here by now," Marcus growled, checking his watch for the tenth time. "Your husband better care more about you than I think he does."

I wanted to tell him that Dominic would come. He always came when someone he cared about was in danger, even if that someone had failed him. That's what made this so hard.

My phone buzzed with a text message. Marcus grabbed it and read it out loud.

"We have Emma. She's dying. Meet us at the building on Miller Road or Victoria dies too. Come alone. - D "

Marcus smiled like a shark. "Perfect. The great Alpha Dominic, walking right into our trap."
