The Ambiguity Between Us

Soon, midterm exams started,

"Did all of you studied well?" Adolf asked during breakfast.

"Yes, father." 

"You boys pay attention to your sister and Vivi tell me if they cause any trouble in school."

"Father! we are older than her and we obviously won't cause any problem." Twins said disagreeing Adolf's statement.

"Okay, eat quickly and go for your exams. And do well in them." 

"Yes"

After having lunch everyone went on their own way.

The extremely luxurious car entered school campus, students who were busy in their own work paused, those who were walking made a way for the car knowingly.

"They are Manchester siblings"

"Manchester genes are something else no one is better or less than other."

"Hmm, look Viviana looks ethereal and gorgeous even when she wears less makeup"

Jack who was walking while reading book paused hearing extremely familiar name and listened their gossip,

"she is my type"

"Keep dreaming do you think princess of Manchester would be given to you by her father and siblings so easily?"

Everyone laughed,

Jack's fist clenched unconsciously,

"I heard she is illegitimate child of family head."

"It doesn't change the fact she is well cherished."

"Hm that's true. She will be married to a rich guy with powerful background in future, eventually"

Everyone sighed,

Jack's eyes flickered for a moment then return to normal and then he started to walk towards classroom.

Viviana wished her brothers good luck before exams when Alex interrupted,

[ "target is up ahead." ]

Viviana glance at direction given by Alex and soon found Jack in crowd of students.

"He is wearing jacket I gave him, look." Viviana said happily

Alex rolled his eyes, 

[ "Why wouldn't he? isn't his shirt ripped?" ]

Viviana ignored his rant and ran towards Jack without wasting time.

"Hey, Jack wait"

"....."

"Hey!! I said wait."

"...." Jack who was busy avoiding Viviana had to stop due to her shouting loudly in the crowd.

Viviana catch up to him panting, 

"..." Jack just watched her indifferently.

"Why are you running away from me? " Viviana complained angrily.

She was extremely angry, how dare this weakling run so fast, from me at that?? He has quite a stamina. She thought looking at Jack who was of her height approx. and was underweight and weak.

"who is running away?" He said with unusual indifference and coldness in his voice like they are meeting for the first time.

"...." both stared at each other.

"Then, why did you not stopped when I called you?" She asked with blaming him with her eyes ignoring his abnormality.

"I didn't hear it. I apologize."

"Why are you being so cold to me today?" Viviana asked with hurt face.

Seeing her hurt face, Jack's eyes flickered in unknown emotion but he still kept his indifferent tone and expression.

"Nothing. Then, I'll be going. I am already late."

Jack ran away without hearing Viviana's response.

Viviana who was ignored : "..."

"Alex what happened to him?" 

[ "No idea. His Favorability is also stable." ]

Both were equally confused.

During exam, Jack and Viviana were focused on writing exam so both were naturally busy and didn't looked at each other.

But even after exam, Jack ignored Viviana and fled vicinity hurriedly before she would notice.

Viviana thought he need some space during exams so she gave him space and didn't take any initiative to talk until exams are finished.

But even after all exams were over, Jack seemed to made up his mind.

"Alex."

[ "hm" ]

"Why are men so complicated?."

Alex rolled his eyes after hearing her question,

[ "How would I know?" ] 

"Aren't you one?"

[ "who said that ?" ]

"Then you aren't ?"

[ "..... ..... I am your system." ]

"So, you are not a man?"

[ "...." ]  Technically I am and I am not.

"...." 

[ "Yess! yes I am. Now don't ask such useless question to me again." ] Alex said irritatingly.

"pfff .....ok but what are your thoughts on it? I don't know how to seduce a men . I have never been near one. "

[ "Where did your bravado from beginning went to?? weren't you acting like a philosopher in front of me?" ]

Viviana rolled her eyes on his statement,

"I just used some human psychology. Seduction is different."

[ "I also don't know anything about humans, let's wait and watch." ] 

"hm"

saying this Viviana closed her eyes and soon slept comfortably,

Alex : "..." I didn't mean it for you to relax.

"Where's he now?" Viviana spoke after a brief silence.

Alex was startle by her sudden question.

"Well, he is at restaurant playing piano." 

"When does he gets off of his work?"

[ "at 8 o'clock" ] 

"What my father is doing, right now?" Viviana asked while thinking something.

[ "Office, I think he will be late today." ]

Viviana opened her eyes in determination in them, after listening to Alex.

"Let's go." saying this Viviana began to put on jeans, simple full sleeves shirt on and black leather jacket on top of that.

[ "Wha...what? and where? It's 8 o'clock right now! where are you going to ?? Vivi...wait.." ]

Loud sound of door closing sounded of bedroom door indicating of Viviana's departure.

[ "Vivi, you are crazy! what if Adolf comes to know? He will be angry." ] 

"....."

[ "Are you even listening to me?" ] Alex sounded frustrated.

"Of course, I am listening." Viviana said boringly sipping on her hot coffee which she purchased while on the way.

Under the beautiful full moon night, Viviana can be seen drinking hot coffee and speaking to system in her mind.

She has come to this small park nearby to where Jack works and was talking to system while playing swing.

[ "If you came here to meet with Jack then its too early, right now he is busy." ]

"hm, then lets wait here." Viviana said looking at beautiful full moon.

"I came because I wanted to, I was just bored. Not for anyone."

'Liar!' he thought to himself looking at Viviana.

[ "...If you say so." ] Alex said knowingly. 

Alex also joined her watching the moon after hearing her response.

They both enjoyed in full moon light and didn't knew how much time has passed, everything was peaceful and beautiful.

when,

[ "Vivi, there's a problem! Jack is surrounded by some men with sticks in their hands. He is on the way to his home" ] Alex notified in slight urgency.

"Oh, what is he doing over there? going home ? when he still have job to do ? " Viviana asked in confusion.

[ "Actually it's already past 9 p.m" ] Alex said with little guilt since he hid information about Jack from her.

[ "You said yourself that you are not here to meet him, so I didn't inform you." ]

Viviana just glared at him and started running towards in Jack's direction.

"Don't show your this smartness to me next time. Do you get it ?" Viviana furiously scolded while running.

[ "How dare you talk to 'me' like that? " ] Alex also fumed by her reaction 

[ ".It's your fault for lying to me in the first place." ]

"Why are you here for, though? for helping me aren't you?" Viviana said furiously

[ "So? you think I want to help you?" ] Alex retorted

"Then don't help." Viviana said angrily

[ "Fine, Don't come to me crying afterwards" ] After saying it, Alex stopped responding.

"...."

'This idiot, does he think I don't understand what's going on in his little brain.?' Viviana thought to herself while navigating through crowded road and going to location described by Alex before fight.

'Thank goodness, I wore pants and sneakers. Good for running.'

Soon, Viviana reached to her destination, she was sweating and panting due to exhaustion.

'f*ck, I have been practicing martial arts even then I am panting.'

"where could he be? He should be here right ? Alex?" Viviana asked while panting.

[ "..." ] Silence

".....sigh,...." Viviana sighed audibly and started searching near by area.

She suddenly heard some random thrashing harsh words from narrow alley and followed it.

Jack could be seen surrounded by many people looking violent and having wooden sticks in their hands.

"Hey, when are you going to pay us back our money? " A man who looked like their boss asked threateningly while holding jack's jacket by neck.

Jack eyes flickered and he frowned when he saw a random man touching his jacket given by Viviana with his dirty hands.

"I have given you this months money." Jack said calmly.

"yeah, but that's not enough. If you keep doing this, what should we do? We can't even sell you as a prostitute with that pretty face of yours. " He asked mockingly.

Everyone present started laughing.

"You know what we don't want your money. I am done waiting for you." the man suddenly began announcing viciously.

"Sago, break his one of the hand." Boss said viciously while holding Jack's hand.

Man named Sago was already ready, showing they have already discussed today's event.

By this it could be seen this people were not mere gangsters but criminals.

Hearing Boss's words and seeing Sago's reaction both Viviana who was hidden in darkness and Jack who was near them, were extremely shocked and panicked.

"Alex? hey?" Viviana asked in panic.

Alex : [ ".... " ] No response.

'hmph, let me see how you do without my help. If she says sorry like last time maybe I'll help her.' Alex thought hiding in his system space.

And at other side situation has already turned serious.
