Maximus stretched his legs out with a groan, resting his free hand behind his head. "So, what's the real reason you called?"
Lily hesitated for a couple seconds before speaking, her voice quieter this time. "I just… thought we could maybe…talk… you sort of disappeared after out texts. And then, when I saw you today, you barely even paid attention to me…"
Maximus exhaled slowly. She wasn't wrong.
He hadn't exactly been avoiding her, but he also hadn't actively reached out.
Business had been on his mind, and personal relationships… well, they hadn't been his top priority.
Still, hearing the slight disappointment in her voice made something stir in his chest.
"I've been busy my dear," he admitted. "a lot going on…"
She hummed. "Yeah…Zack mentioned something about you investing in the resort…"
Kpim!!!!
He raised a confused eyebrow, "Zack?"
She hesitated. "Well he didn't say it directly, my friend overheard him talking to someone at the club about it."
Maximus shook his heaad. "That man talks way too much!"
Lily let out a series of giggles. "He's fun, though. You two seem close…"
"I wouldn't say 'Close'" Maximus muttered, but the thought made him smmirk slightly.
Then, there was a brief conversation surrounding Maximus and his relationship with Zack, that was until Lily asked a question that he'd been waiting all night to hear.
"so, Are you free tomorrow?"
Maximus arched an eyebrow instinctively. "Are you asking me on a date?"
"N-No!"
Maximus laughed, enjoying how easily flustered she got. "You sure? Because it kinda sounds like you are."
"Yes I'm sure…" Lily said with a pout.
"I'm not exactly busy and not less busy either but I can definitely make time for you tomorrow… but I will agree to free up for you if you let me decide where we are going."
"Really, oh you're such a gentle man…" Lily said playfully with a tone of sarcasm.
"Theme park…"
"Theme park?"
"Yes…theme park"
A soft laugh left Lily's lips. "Alright genuis a theme park it is."

Maximus stood outside the entrance of the theme park, his hands tucked into his pockets as he leaned against his power bike.
The morning air was crips, carrying the faint scent of cotton candy and fried or roasted food inside. It had been years since hed been to a place like this.
He glanced down at his watch.
10:00 AM.
According to the timing she gave the previous night, he was expecting her to be present soon.
His phone buzzed with a text from Lily telling him that she was almost at the ran devious point.
Before he could reply, he heard footsteps approaching. Looking up, he saw Lily making her way toward him, waving shyly.
She wore a white sweater, fitted jeans and white sneakers, her blonde hair pulled into a ponytail as usual. She looked fresh, no make up of any kind on her face, just her natural beauty.
Maximus gave a small nod. "Good morning …"
Lily adjusted the strap of her purse. "Morning." she glanced at the entrance. "I can't believe you chose here…"
He smirked. "Why? You think I don't know how to have fun?"
She gave him a knowing look. "You don't seem like the type to go on roller coasters and eat cotton candy…"
"Guess you'll find out today…"
They walked towards the entrance, scanning their tickets and stepped inside.
The moment they entered, Lily's face lit up. She took a deep breath, looking around with excitement. "Wow, it been forever since I've been to one of these."
Maximus glanced around. "So, what's first?"
Lily turned, eyes landing on the biggest roller coaster in the park.
She didn't point, she just glared back at Maximus and then back at the roller coaster.
He raised an eyebrow almost immediately, "Are you serious?"
"What? don't tell me you're scared…"
"Hell no, but I didn't think you'd pick something so intense right off the bat… tells me how the rest of this date is gonna go…"
"Might as well start with a bang…"
"Alright then lets go…"
The line wasn't too long, but as they inched forward, Lily's confidence wavered slightly. She watched as the coaster zoomed past, twisting and flipping at ridiculous speeds.
Maximus noticed the way she gripped her sweater sleeves.
"Any second thoughts? We can always start with something smaller"
Lily straightened up immediately. "No, we are going on this ride… no matter what…"
"Hmmm, audacious, I like it. But I must warn you, if you scream I'm gonna remind you about this moment."
They finally got their seats, pulling the safety bars down.
The coaster started throbbing forward, slowly climbing the forst steep incline.
Lily tensed beside him. Meanwhile, Maximus was as calm as a cucumber.
The coaster reached its peak, a brief moment of silence, then a sudden drop due to gravity.
Lily suddenly screamed out into the air like a seagull.
Maximus couldn't help himself but burst out into laughter as wind gushed past them. She instinctively grabbed his arm, squeezing tightly as the coaster twisted and turned with insane acceleration.
By the time the coaster came to a slow stop, Lily was panting like a dog in heat, loosing her grip on his hand.
He smirked.
"I don't know about you, but you seemed hella scared on that ride…"
She turned to glare at him, her face flushed instant red. "Shut up."
She took off the safty bars and dashed out of the vehicle like a scared rat.
After that, the day flowed naturally. They went on more rides— cargo cars, plastic horses, — some crazy, some calm, and even played a few carnival games.
Maximus was ridiculously good at them, easily winning a stuffed bear for Lily during the basket ball three point shot game, which she begrudgingly accepted.
At one point, they stopped by a snack stand. Lily eagerly ordered an ice cream cone while Maximus stuck to a simple soda.
After a few more hours of fun and haggling around and exploring, the sun began to set, they found themselves sitting on a park bench, watching the ferris wheel light up against the dimming sky.
Lily hugged her stuffed bear to her chest, sighing contentedly. "That was the most fun I have had in ages…"
Maximus smirked. "I know right…"
He leaned back, stretching his arms. "Thanks for dragging me here…"
Lily laughed, nudging his arm.
They sat in comfortable silence, watching the lights twinkle in the distance.
"Come on Lily, lets climb on the ferris wheel…"
Maximus paid for the tickets, slipping a couple billls to the attendant without hesitation.
"Last ride of the night… I promise" Maximus said, glacing at her.
Lily nodded, shifting on her feet. "Yeah, I always wanted to ride one of these at night."
When they got in, the ferris wheel slowly began its ascent, the soft hum of the machinery filling the air. Lily hugged the stuffed bear even tighter, letting it compress against her voluptuous breast.
From their altitude, the entire park stretched out before them, glowing with colourful lights.
Beyond the park, city light twinkled in the distance, creating a mesmerizing view.
"Wow…" Lily said breathless.
Maximus leaned back, watching her rather than the view.
"Wow indeed…" he agreed, though he wasn't even looking at the city.
Lily turned to him, catching his gaze.
He turned away, but not swiftly, slowly till his gaze landed on a part of the city that was less illuminated by artificail lights like the rest of the city but was still fairly bright.
"You see those speck of lights over there…" Maximus said, poiting towards the lights.
"Yeah?" Lily replied, intrigue building up within her.
"Thats my house…"
Lily chuckled sofly, "Okay that cool, I see you're humble bragging… those large cluster of light over in the opposite direction: my apartment is there somewhere, I don't know"
They both shared a laugh at the situation and the tone died down again.
"You were staring," she suddenly murmured.
Maximus smirked. "Noticed that, huh?"
He leaned in a little, closing the space between them, "What are you gonna do about it?"
Lily gripped her stuffed bear tighter, pushing her cleavage out like a bomb, her entire face turning red.
"You!!!"
