Be careful," Artie said.

"I am having a hard time explaining to the kids Artie, Tom couldn't even make time to come to his children's birthday again this year, he only comes once in 365 days, it's like he doesn't even..."

"...Don't even think of saying anything negative today, just be positive and happy with Rina and Rhea, like I always say, it's bad luck to think negatively on a special day, cause it will ruin your mood," Artie cut her off.

"Rhea told me the exact same thing a while ago, she must hav gotten it from you," Macy smiled.

"She listens that one, she will be a very great person, they both will,"

The kids ran downstairs to see the presents sent to them, upon getting there they were awestrucked at the amount of gifts seated in the decorated living room.

"Wow," Rina exclaimed, she knew their father always went big on the gifts whenever he had to make up for missing a special event but right now he had really outdone himself. Whatsoever anger she felt towards him a while back was totally gone now.

"These are all for you girls," Macy said upon getting to the living room.

"Can we open them now mommy, pretty please?" They asked in unison with the sweetest voice and sparkling big eyes.

"Of course," Macy replied, stroking Rhea's hair.

The girls began to unwrap the gifts with such speed, they were both excited and it was written all over their faces as they unwrapped the gifts.

Rina unwrapped the first gift that had her name on it and her smile brightened. It was a pretty handbag for children and it was designer too also in her favorite color, pink.

"I love it!" She exclaimed in joy, and then she turned towards her sister and was surprised to see a sketchbook, pencils and also paint brushes, it was a latest edition.

"He remembered," Rhea smiled, holding the materials close to her chest as if embracing them.

"What's that, it's so ugly," Rina said, rolling her eyes.

"No it's not, last time Daddy asked me what I wanted and I told him I wanted these, am so happy he remembered," Rhea smiled.

Rina scoffed, but beneath her scornful look she was envious, she knew her sister loved to draw and so does their father but she didn't, what bothered her was the fact that their Father's present to Rhea was sentimental, while hers wasn't.

They moved on to the second gift, they began to unwrap it and this time Rhea finished first, her gift was a helmet, causing Rina to burst out In laughter. "A helmet, really, who'd want a helmet for a birthday gift?" Rina asked, revealing an exact replica of Cinderella's glass slippers.

"Oh Young lady Rhea, that must be for the bicycle parked outside, it's really beautiful if I must say," A maid said.

"Bicycle, I didn't get one," Rina said, her smile fading.

"You did tell your father you wanted only the most fancy things, if I remember clearly, you once said you'd never touch such a filthy thing," Artie said with a nod.

"Wow," Rhea said, looking at the beautiful red helmet. "You don't like bicycles Rina, you always said they're for guys,"

"Yes but that doesn't mean I don't want one too,"

"It's okay Rina, you can ride mine whenever you want," Rhea said as she proceeded to open the next gift, not realizing the daggers Rina was shooting at her, if only looks could kill then Rhea would be long gone by now.

"That's so sweet of you Rhea," Macy said.

"Yeah, thanks...Sister," Rina said, sarcasm evident in her tone.

They opened the next gift and Rina's was a dress of the latest edition, she squeeled in delight, pouncing up and down, but upon seeing Rhea's, she stopped, her eyes widened in surprise.

"Da--Daddy got you a laptop!?"

"Yeah, I told him the last time he was here that I don't see him often and maybe he sent this so I could video call him," Rhea said, smiling ever so cutely. "See it says so in this letter, he said I can call him whenever I want," Rhea said showing a letter from their Daddy to her.

"But--But mommy always said we weren't ready for one!" Rina said, glancing at her mother.

"Yeah, but as long as it's just to video call your father, there's no problem with having one,"

"Argh!" Rina grunted in vexation, throwing the dress on the floor "I don't want this dress,"

"Rina what's wrong?" Macy asked in concern, upon seeing tears rolling down Rina's cheeks. The maids present began to whisper in each other's ears and one could tell it wasn't fond things.

"Rhea's gifts are so meaningful, he only got me materialistic things!" She complained.

"What are you saying dear, Tom sent all that was on your gift lists," Macy crouched down to meet Rina's height.

"Why does Rhea always get the best?!"

"I'm sorry my dear, I didn't think you'd feel like this, and am sure your father didn't think about it too,"

"Here Rina, you can have this one," Rhea said, giving Rina the laptop.

"Really, you'd give me your gift?" Rina wiped her tears, holding the laptop from her sister.

"Yes, what's mine is yours, and I know you miss Dad, so you take it, you can call him whenever you want, at least that's what it says in the letter," Rhea said with a smile. Rina didn't believe it, she never thought Rhea would actually give her out her gift and to her, she's always been mean to Rhea. But at that moment she was thankful to her sister.

"Thank You," She said, but it came out more like a whisper.

"You're welcome," Rina smiled, " Nanny, am hungry,"

"Oh yes, come my dear," The old Nanny called, obviously proud of little Rhea, it was written all over her face as she called Rhea.

"You see, it's pretty great having a sister who looks out for you my love," Macy said in a low tone, kissing Rina's forehead and then standing up to her feet, following Artie and Rhea.

Rina looked down at the laptop in her hands thankfully. "Young lady Rhea is so nice," She heard the maids say, they were gossiping and unknown to them, she was hearing every single word.

"I know, she has a heart of Gold,"

"And she's prettier too, she has rare eyes,"

"Yes, I wish I had amber eyes, am so jealous, she's going to be so pretty when she grows up, am sure she'll have guys lining up just to speak to her,"

"Are you kidding, they literally have the same face,"

"But the eyes also plays a big part in beauty too,"

"They're just eight, can we keep it down a notch?!"

"That's enough!" Rina scolded "Shouldn't you be cleaning this up!"

"Ye--Yes young lady," The maids trembled realizing that Rina had heard their every word, they instantly rushed to clean up the gift wrappers mess.

Rina clenched the laptop in her hands ever so tightly, she glared at It while thinking of Rhea and everything the maids said about her.

'What more do you want Rhea, you have taken everything away from me, you just pretend to be nice just so you can gain the favor of people around you, you're such a snake, it's disgusting, but what's more disgusting is the maids thinking you're prettier than me just because you have rare golden eyes,' Rina said inwardly.

"Hurry!"

"Are you okay?"

"Mommy, this is the second time you've asked me this, am fine," Rhea said as she took a spoonful of mashed potatoes.

"I just want to make sure, you're too young to be thinking of other's problems, even your sister's, it's not your responsibility, it's your father's and mine," Macy said staring into Rhea's eyes.

"Rina is my sister mommy, what's mine is hers too," Rhea said, causing Macy to smile.

"Oh my selfless daughter, I love you sweetie," Macy embraced her daughter tightly as if not ready to let go anytime soon.

"Mommy, you're squeezing me," Rhea laughed and Macy pulled away.

"Oh am sorry,"

"Where's Rina?" Macy asked, a loud bang was heard in the living room and try all rushed there thinking something bad had had happened, but when they got there, they were all shocked at the sight.

"Rina!"
