After waking up, I look around to see that I'm now in a carriage. Within the carriage there were what looked to be 2 men on the other side of the carriage, and then there was a woman next to me.
"My, my, did you sleep well, cutie?" I was too groggy to even respond. I just sat there, looking at the roof of the carriage. "Hello there, friend, do you know where you are?" The man on the left had said that. His face looked young, his eyes a pastel green; I couldn't see his hair from the hood on his head.
I still didn't respond. "Respond to my friend when he asks you a question." The man on the right said it this time. He looked to be older than the man on the left. The stubble on his face, as well as his long brown hair and dark brown eyes, made it that way.
"I am in a world that is not my own, in a situation that I never thought possible." [Would you like to view their stats] View their stats? Am I really allowed to do something like that? Yeah, I'll view their stats.
I saw both of their status windows pop up. Something was different compared to my status window, though; they both had a title added to them, and then I was shocked to see they both had the rank of Ace.
Who are you people? I don't know why I asked since I could see that the people in front of me were not only human, they were monsters. "My name is Lancelot, Third King of the Arthurian Kingdom."
"And my name is Merlin, Third Archmage of the Arthurian Kingdom." They left out the fact that they are the Ace of Hearts and Ace of Spades, which I was more than happy with. "You said you are in a world that is not yours; would that mean you are a God Candidate?"
I gave him a thumbs-up since I was still trying to coordinate myself from being tired. "Well, what a fine coincidence, the woman next to you is a God Candidate too; she got here 2 weeks ago." I instantly looked at Merlin. "What do you mean 2 weeks ago? I got transported here yesterday."
Both Lancelot and Merlin looked confused by what I had said. "There is another group of God Candidates? Where are they?" I scoffed at them. "Sold off at an auction." Lancelot gritted his teeth in anger. "Get to the capital, posthaste!" The carriage went noticeably faster.
"What's the issue, sir?" Lancelot shouted back at me, "God Candidates are the first humans that can acquire Divinity. What do you think happens when people own them?" He had a point, so I didn't reply.
"My name is Alice Grimwalts. What's your name? Have your eyes always been like that?" This wasn't anything I hadn't heard before. People called me a freak in the past for my eyes. "Yes, my eyes are naturally like this. One prismatic, and the other a bright purple. I don't know why they are like this. I was just born this way.'
She looked like she was about to apologize, but the carriage stopped as Lancelot and Merlin hastily got out and ran towards the castle. Well, they lightly jogged; seeing their agility stats compared to how fast they were moving was definitely a sight to behold. [Haste level 1, Speed Burst level 1, Like The Wind level 1 activated]
I held my hand out to Alice. "Would you like me to carry you?" She pushed my hand out of the way. "I can get there by myself, thank you for offering." I chuckled and ran, easily catching up to Lancelot and Merlin but leaving Alice in the literal dust.
This was a test to see if I really kept these spells that I unlocked out of nowhere. [Haste Level 1, Speed Burst Level 1, Like The Wind Level 1 deactivated] Merlin looked at me puzzled. Lancelot had the exact same expression. "How do you have those spells already?! They said this in unison, which had completely surprised me. "I don't know, I just do." It was the only answer I could give, because it was true.
Merlin looked frustrated by that, but Lancelot grabbed his shoulder and nodded no. "Do you know where the God Candidates were being auctioned?" Lancelot looked genuinely concerned when asking that. "I don't know where; all I know is that an old man who used to be a hero was the Auctioneer, and Count Cassio Demixen wanted to buy me."
They both looked at me. "Are you sure that was his name?" I thought back in my memory. "That was his name. He carried a bloodlust you could never mistake for anything else." Merlin looked concerned. "That means he was in the Plassian Empire."
