"Hmm, not bad. I leveled up a lot. I'm almost level 10 too. Once I hit that, I'll be able to unlock skills and use runes more efficiently."

He tapped his chin. "First, let's put 10 SP into Strength and the rest into Agility."

As soon as the distribution was confirmed, a new message appeared:

---

[BOSS MONSTER IS BEING SUMMONED AS PLAYER HAS SLAIN ALL THE MONSTERS]

---

"About time now."

Rio smiled slightly, gripping his sword as he scanned the area.

A rustle came from the bushes. Then it appeared—a horned rabbit, but twice the size of the normal ones. Its claws were longer, and its fangs resembled those of a wolf. It looked far more savage and dominant.

But Rio didn't flinch. In fact, his smile faded. He looked disappointed.

"So much for a boss."

He raised his hand calmly as the beast lunged.

"RUNE OF DESTRUCTION."

A blackish-red sphere sparked into existence on his palm and shot forward, cracking the air. It struck the monster straight in the forehead. The beast didn't even get the chance to dodge. The orb pierced through its skull like a hot knife through butter.

And then came the white room again—sterile and glowing like a hospital ward.

"Agh, why is it so bright? Can you tone down the light, system?"

[I CAN.]

The familiar mechanical voice replied. Calm, cold, and always listening.

"Hmm... Oh, right. I forgot we have this function."

The light immediately shifted. Shadows formed. The sterile white began to dim. The vibe changed—it now felt like a gamer's cave. Moody, personal, almost like Rio's old room.

"Nice. It feels like my own now. Let's see the reward. Status Window."

"I've hit level 10. That means class options should unlock once I find the right materials," Rio muttered. "Until then... I'll just keep growing stronger."

He glanced over his stats.

"Agility increases dodge chance, movement speed, and attack speed. Strength affects physical damage, stamina, and defense. Intelligence helps with magical defense, focus, and calculation speed. Since my Strength and Agility are already solid... I'll drop these 3 points into Intelligence."

Done.

Then hunger hit him.

It made sense—he'd just wiped out hundreds of enemies and a boss. Even if it hadn't been hard, it still drained him.

"I remember I got a lot of gold... and drops."

He opened his inventory. "Let's see... 5,550 gold coins. Not bad at all."

There were also stacks of meat and fur—loot from the slaughter.

"Time to eat. I'll buy spices, cooking tools, and a bed."

Soon, the room smelled of cooked meat. Rio sat back with a satisfied expression, chewing on roasted horned rabbit and seasoning it to taste.

This... this felt like peace. A life of risk, of control, and solitude. He didn't just enjoy it—he belonged in it.

As he lay back on the bed, he looked around once more.

"System, lights off."

The lights dimmed to black.

"Today wasn't so hard. I wonder if the others are doing well... If they can't even survive the first round, they're better off dead. I'm looking forward to tomorrow."

He closed his eyes.

---

As Rio slept, time went by.

Soon, he woke up—not knowing whether it was morning or night. The room had no windows, no doors. Only silence, dim lights, and the ever-watchful system.

He washed up and ate.

After finishing breakfast, he checked his inventory once more and used the remaining gold to prepare for the next round—leather armor, sturdy boots, and a blade. It wasn't quite a sword, more like a long dagger—but perfect for his agile style.

[ROUND 2 WILL BEGIN IN 2:47]

---

"This round's gonna be a little harder," he said with a sneer.

"But I do hope... it'll be interesting."
