Tired, hungry and thirsty, Evan was more than eager to walk back home. It felt like forever, walking around in the stone hill cave without the insistent sound of Iva talking in his head.
There is still that worry within him. Iva just disappeared when he tried using the Simulation Zone when he didn't know that he shouldn't. If only he had asked it if he could use the Simulation Zone while he was inside, then, maybe Iva would still be its usual annoying self in his head.
Now, he is left in silence. He can't believe he is missing a voice constantly speaking with him the moment it stopped talking.
Evan finally reached the stairs and began his slow ascend. The torches on the walls provide less comfort but it was still a comfort.
Halfway through, even with the darkness outside indicating that it was night time, the lights of the torches completely disappeared and something suddenly felt off.
