Finding a spot in between two bookshelves on the door's blind spot and moving as quickly and quietly as he can, Evan could only hope that he wasn't caught immediately as the door swings open entirely.
The man who had opened it was laughing boisterously. "Yeah, well, like I said, ghost aren't real. What she heard? Wind. I have to go now. See you tomorrow."
The door closed again. Evan waited to hear the lock click into place again to possibly spoil his only chance at going back without the Simulation Zone.
But the man's footsteps continued to go further and further away and Evan didn't hear a single sound of the door locking once again.
He really felt that today is his lucky day. He hopes not to have jinxed it.
Iva on his shoulder, he slowly turns the door knob. Based off of his memory, there's only a handful of people near the door. It would be easy to slip in without anyone noticing.
