"Sterling, what have you done?"  I whispered, my voice trembling.  "He was just asking for help!"

My stepbrother's eyes, usually a deep emerald green, now glowed with predatory amber as he shifted partially back from his wolf form.  His breathing was heavy, primal.

"He was too close to you, Aurora.  His scent was all over you."  Sterling's voice was eerily calm as he wiped blood from his hands onto his dark jeans.  "No man approaches what's mine."

Mine.  That word made my skin crawl.  I wasn't his.  I was his stepsister, not his possession.

Claimed By My Stepbrother's Obsession

I couldn't look away from Kaelen's intense gaze. His eyes darkened with a possessive gleam that sent shivers down my spine.


"A virgin," he whispered, his voice filled with awe and unmistakable satisfaction. "You're untouched."


My cheeks burned with embarrassment as I sat frozen on the countertop. I wanted to disappear into thin air, but Kaelen's body kept me pinned in place.


"Why didn't you tell me?" he asked, his thumb tracing my trembling lower lip.


"It's not exactly something I broadcast," I mumbled, trying to regain my composure. "Can you... can you please step back?"


Instead, Kaelen leaned forward and captured my mouth in a gentle kiss, so different from his earlier bruising one. When he pulled away, his eyes glinted with triumph.


"No man has ever touched what's mine," he said, his voice thick with possession. "Your body has been waiting for me all this time."
