Chapter 133: An Alpha's Torment and a Journey into Hostile Land
### Lucian's POV
Sunlight streamed through the curtains, hitting my face with unwelcome brightness. I groaned, turning away from the intrusive light. The sound of giggling outside my bedroom door made my jaw clench.
"You wake him up."
"No, you do it. He's terrifying in the morning."
"But Alpha needs to—"
"Fuck off!" I shouted, my voice echoing off the walls of my spacious bedroom.
The hushed whispers and shuffling footsteps retreated immediately. Good. I didn't have the patience for their nonsense today.
I stared at the ceiling for a moment, my eyes hard and cold. Four years as Alpha, and the staff still treated me like I might bite their heads off. Maybe because I would.
My phone buzzed on the nightstand. I grabbed it, seeing multiple messages from my personal assistant, Jax.
*Sir, these are today's headlines regarding your trip:*
*"Alpha Lucian Monroe to meet with rival Alpha Kaelen Vane"*
