Chapter 131: A Favor for a Friend, A Summons from an Alpha
### Aria's POV
"So you're Livia's friend." The club manager, Marcus, scrutinized me from behind his cluttered desk. "Ever waitressed before?"
"Not exactly," I admitted, standing tall despite my uncertainty. "But I'm a quick learner."
Marcus huffed, clearly unimpressed. "This isn't a coffee shop. On weekends, we get packed. Guys get handsy, drinks spill, and orders pile up."
I nodded firmly. "I understand. I can handle it."
"Fine." He tossed me a thin black apron. "Poppy will show you the basics. Your shift starts in thirty minutes. Don't make me regret this."
As he turned his attention back to paperwork, I took my cue to leave. Outside his office, Poppy waited with a sympathetic smile.
"Don't worry about Marcus. His bark is worse than his bite." She handed me a pair of black flats. "These should fit."
"Thanks." I slipped off my heels gratefully.
