Chapter 9 - What are you?

It was late in the afternoon the sun was getting ready to set for the day, the residents of the village were starting to settle down for the evening and a cool breeze was blowing through the streets.

I sat up in the guest house leaning against the wall all while syilla laid curled up next to me asleep with her head on my lap.

I was ever so lightly running my hands through her hair Studying every detail of her,

Her perfectly sculptured body capable of rivaling the goddess of beauty, Her small cute nose that came out to a little point, her cute little pointed ears, though they were shut I could never get those vibrant emerald eyes out of my my thoughts.

Running my hands through her hair gently a few more time a thought came to mind 'man I really want to touch her ears!'

As gently as I could i stopped stroking her head and softly touched the tip of her ears, 'oh god they are so soft! I love it!'

"Mmm" syilla let out a little moan

I froze.

Is she awake..? Looking away from her ears to her face her eyes were still closed but her cheeks started turning red. Could ear touching be a pleasure thing for elves?

Slowly moving my hand away i resumed stroking her hair. Maybe I shouldn't have just touched her ears like that, but she was just so cute it was hard to resist!

Syilla's eyes started flickering as she soon opened them, looking up at me stroking her head.

"Well goodmorning beautiful" I said flirtatiously

She sprung up now sitting next to me while looking away from me trying to hide her rosy cheeks

"G-goodmorning" she stammered out

I could get used to how adorable she looks right now but unfortunately im sure she now has a bunch of questions there's also her mother to go check on.

"So Lucy.. I have a question.." syillia said softly

"Oh and what would that be?"

"It's somthing that has been on my mind for awhile now dont take this the wrong way but.. what are you?" She asked now staring directly into my eyes

"Hah yeah that question.. i knew it was going to come up sooner or later" I said while sliding off the bed stretching quickly I offered her my hand " I promise I will tell you but for now how about we go check on your mother's condition, I apologize for this but due to my lack of.... self control we have been laying here a few hours"

"Alright then, I'll hold you to that" she said with a smile while grabbing my hand. Helping her to feet i let go of her hand she fixed her hair that was now a bit of a mess...my bad. After Straightening out her clothes she took my hand again

"Alright im ready let's go see how mom is doing!" Pulling me through the living room and out the front door my mind was completely absorbed in the fact that she was holding my hand again, OK maybe she was just excited, yeah! That has to be it right i mean her mom who she thought wasn't going to make it is about to wake up! She's excited... thats all there is, there's nothing else,

"Lucy!" Syllia yelled

I jumped looking around i seen we had long stopped walking as we were standing in her mom's room, syllia's mom was softly chuckling while still laying in bed and syllia was just staring at me.

"You ok Lucy? You seemed completely out of it" syllia asked concerningly

"What me? oh no im fine haa haa.." I replied way to quickly while staring at my hands that was firmly in hers my face started to heat up an i took my hands back.

"So how are you feeling? Does anything feel strange?" I asked trying to change the subject.

"I feel good really good i can't thank you enough for everything you've done for me and my syllia, although I could eat somthing its been awhile since I've had an appetite"

"oh! Im on it! Ill make you some delicious!" Syllia exclaimed while running out of the room.

"Im glad to see she's still just as excitable and energetic as she's always been, she told me that you were the one that healed me and that you saved her from that orc camp as well, If there is anything you need please ask it of us its the least we can do" she said with a warm smile

"Oh no dont worry about it, no one deserves to go through what you've both endured and besides" I replied while glancing at the door syllia ran through "she is someone that deserves protecting"

"Oh my! Do I see a wedding happening in the near future?!" She exclaimed with a grin

"W-w-what?! I ah I" my brain shut down I couldn't help studder

"I brought you your favorite stew!" Syllia burst through the door carrying a steaming hot bowl of stew. Handing it to her mom she looked back at me, while she was handing over the food I had crouched down covering my face with my hands mumbling incoherently.

"Ah what's wrong with her?" She asked her mom while pointing at me

"Oh nothing she's just being dramatic, don't worry yourself over it" she replied with a teasing grin

I looked up after hearing that looking straight at her mother

"She's a little tease huh" I mumbled to myself

I recomposed my standing up while straightening out my clothes

"Why dont you two go off and chat or do whatever you were doing before stopping in, I'll finish eating then lay down for a bit I am still quite tired" syllia's mom said while looking at syllia.

"Alright mom I'll come back in awhile and check in you" syllia replied as she gave her mom a hug

Heading towards the door she grabbed my arm pulling me into the living room.

"So I guess now is a good time to talk yeah?" Syllia asked

"Yeah i can answer your questions now.. although I'd rather not do it here"

"Alright then let's head back to the guest house then" syllia said as she grabbed my hand again exiting her house.

A short walk later and we were both sitting legs crossed on the bed of the guest house

"Alright my mom is doing well we have the night to ourselves and we are alone, so spill it!" She said rather eagerly "Alright alright calm down" I said with a chuckle

"Alright so I guess I can start with what I am, I may look like an elf but...im not"

Syllia just turned her head slightly as if confused.

"I am what you call a vampire.. I dont eat food or drink water like you do I survive solely off of blood which im sure you've guessed"

"OoooH! That makes sense! Everytime you do somthing that would use a lot of energy you have to drink some of mine right?" Syllia asked, she was pretty excited about all this.

"Yes exactly and another thing about vampires is they possess abilities and magic that is exclusive to them, for example that red magic you've seen me use to heal you and your mom is actually blood magic, no one else is capable of using it, ontop of that we possess unmatched healing abilities, I can heal almost any wound on my body instantly"

Syllia just stared wide eyed at me "I am so glad you are as kind hearted as you are, you would be a menace if you were a bad person" syllia said with a slight chuckle

"The thing about that is.. im the only one of my kind alive..." I said quietly

"....what" syllia muttered with a touch of sadness in her voice

"Yeah its true, you know how we can all see our statuses right? Well before we met I originally awoke in the forest alone, I had no memories of well...anything. when I went to open my status I got a message explaining what I am and that im the very first of my kind in this world, im assuming i got put here make more vampires maybe? Although I dont know how I feel about having to have a bunch of kids"

"You really dont remember anything..? Like nothing at all?" Syllia asked sounding increasingly upset the more I said

"Yeah nothing at all, If i hadn't run into you when I did i would probably be still stumbling through the forest" I replied

"Well i wish the circumstances were better but.. im glad we got to met!" Syllia exclaimed with a smile on her face

"I am too! Although I felt really bad about biting you the first time, to be honest when you passed out I had thought I killed you, i freaked out big time" I said starting to laugh alittle

"Pffft"

"Ahahaha" syllia bursted out laugh

"Ah that is amazing! I can only imagine your face getting all panicked and flustered!"

"Oh go ahead keep laughing and see where it gets you!" I exclaimed while playfully snapping my teeth at her

'Cough' 'cough' syllia cleared her throat looking to the side

"Speaking of which why does it.. feel like that when you bite me?"

"Oh you mean the pleasure" I asked with a playful voice

Syllia's face went bright red "yes the pleasure" she said softly

"Well the short answer is im doing it on purpose" I answered

"Wait what!? Your doing that on purpose?!" She looked flustered now

"Yeah im doing it on purpose" I leaned in close to her ear and whispered " I just love those little noises you make" her face and ears went red she picked up a pillow and started hitting me with it "That is so mean!" She yelled while smacking me a few more times

"OK ok im sorry!" I yelled getting her to stop the pillow assault

I couldn't help but laugh "im sorry for teasing you I couldn't help myself" I said while shrugging my shoulders " that is the truth though I am doing it on purpose, there is 4 different things I can do with my fangs and that is just the most pleasant one. If I am going to be drinking your blood I at least want it to be enjoyable for you too"

"Oh yeah I suppose that makes sense" syllia replied looking down at the pillow she still held in her arms

"So.. if there is 4 things.. what are the other 3?"

"Well there is the opposite of pleasure, I can inflection an soul wretching pain, then there is nothing at all i dont add anything to it, it would just feel like you got bit by anything else that had fangs, I assume it would hurt but not as bad as it would if I made it hurt"

"And the third..? Syllia asked curiously

My facial expression dropped abit, Syllia must have noticed as she started looking concerned

" The last one is one what I hate and will never use.. what it does is it steals the free will of the person I've biten turning them into a mindless slave.."

Syllia just stared at me her eyes widened in shock

"Th-that is terrifying to think of.."

"Yes it is, thats why I will never use it"

[ Acutally there is a 5th ability to your fangs ]

"Excuse me" I said out loud, syllia just looked at me confused

"what do you mean there is a 5th?! Why didnt you tell me earlier?!" I yelled

"Ah.. Lucy? Who are you talking to?" Syllia asked looking concerned

"It's the system I have, the one that gave me the message when I first woke up, it gives me information sometimes" I replied

"And it just told me there is a 5th ability i can use my fangs for that it didnt tell me eariler"

"What really!? Well? What is it i wanna know!" Syllia exclaimed starting to get excited at the news

[ The 5th way you can use your fangs is to create other vampires, vampires can not give birth so instead you can turn other people into vampires, if you bite someone with the intent to turn them you will release a venom that will change that person into a weaker form of yourself ]

"Oh...my...God that is awesome! Why didnt you tell me that sooner!" I yelled

" well!? What is it!? Im getting antsy here! You can't get all excited like that and then not tell me!" Syllia yelled back

"I can turn people into vampires! If i want i can bite someone and inject a certain venom that will change that person into a vampire! Apparently vampires can't give birth so I create more vampires this way" I replied excitedly

Syllia's face shifted a bit

"So.. what is it like to be a vampire? From what I've seen your incredibly strong, you can easily use magic that i have never even heard of and I can't even describe your speed.."
