When Truth Crashes In

The restroom door creaked open slightly.

Inside, Jenna—the real Ameya—stood frozen, staring at the girl in front of her.

The tension was thick.

New Ameya smirked slightly and said, "I know you... Ameya."

Jenna's eyes widened. What...?

"You didn't expect me, huh?" the girl continued, folding her arms.

Jenna took a step back, startled. "W-Who... are you?"

Suddenly, the restroom door burst open. A staff member peeked in and frowned.

"What are both of you doing here?"

Caught off-guard, both girls jumped. Jenna immediately posed like she was pushing the door from the inside, while the other Ameya did the same from the outside.

The staff gave them a strange look and walked away.

The moment was over—but the tension remained.

Before Jenna could speak, New Ameya grabbed her hand and dragged her out of the restroom.

They stood in the hallway now, eye to eye.

"I asked you once... who are you?" Jenna whispered.

The other Ameya's expression hardened.

"I'm Jenna. The real owner of your body—my body."

Jenna's hand flew to the girl's mouth. "Shhh! Not here!" she hissed. "Let's talk... outside. In the park?"

The girl stared coldly, then gave a small nod. "Fine."

---

At the Park...

Jenna took a deep breath. "Even I don't understand how this happened. One moment I was crying, hugging my teddy, wishing to be someone else... and then... I woke up here. As you."

She explained everything—her dream to be a dancer, her fight with her mom, the emotional breakdown, and the wish she made that fateful night.

The girl's brows furrowed. "It's... not believable."

Her suspicious gaze made Jenna uneasy.

Just then, her phone rang. It was her manager.

"Hello? Yes? You want to meet me now? Okay, I'll be right there."

Jenna hung up. "I have to go. But please... give me time. I'll come back. I promise."

"You better," the girl—the real Jenna—growled. "Don't try to avoid me again."

"I won't. Let's meet at our dorm later. Okay?"

---

At the Manager's Office...

Jenna stood nervously in front of her manager.

"Jenna, everything's fine now. No need to worry about the rumors anymore. We solved it."

Jenna blinked in disbelief.

"What...? Really?"

"Yes. All thanks to Rico," the manager smiled. "He told his own manager that you've been an old fan. That you even attended FJ4's first fan sign event. They posted proof—and fans calmed down. In fact, you even gained a few supporters."

Jenna couldn't believe her ears. Rico...? He did that...?

She recalled how harshly she had spoken to him earlier. Oh no... he was trying to help... and I was cruel to him. I'm such a fool...

"Jenna?" The manager raised an eyebrow. "You look... conflicted. Happy or sad?"

"I-I'm happy!" she said quickly. "Really... thank you. I'll go now."

At the Dance Studio...

FJ4's practice was ending. The members were packing up when Jenna entered with her friends.

She spotted Rico from afar.

Her heart pounded. I need to say sorry.

Rico noticed her. He looked away and began to leave with Michael.

Jenna quickly handed her bag to Ruby and ran after him.

"Rico!" she called.

He turned—just in time for her to almost crash into him.

"I'm sorry... for what I said. You helped me. Alone."

Rico stared, unreadable. "Michael, your die-hard fan is here."

Michael turned, confused. "Who?"

Jenna laughed nervously and moved closer to Rico again. "Why are you avoiding me?"

Rico leaned in slightly. "How did you feel when I avoided you?"

Jenna's breath hitched. I can't avoid you... you're my favorite idol... but you don't know what I'm going through...

She looked up at him, eyes soft and pleading. Rico's expression melted.

"Forget it," he said lightly. "I was part of the rumor too. I had to help fix it."

From a distance, the real Jenna—Ameya—watched, arms folded.

She walked up and interrupted, "Jenna, it's time for practice."

Ameya's eyes drifted to Michael. She gasped and forgot herself. She jumped in front of him.

"Michael! I'm your biggest fan! Do you remember me? At your first fan sign?"

Michael blinked. "What...?"

Ameya (Jenna) froze. No! I forgot I'm in Ameya 's body!

Jenna rushed and pulled Ameya back. "Stop!" she whispered, trying to signal with her eyes.

Rico looked between them, amused. "You came to our first fan sign too?"

Ameya nodded excitedly, then shook her head. "Yes—no—uh…"

Rico squinted. "Hmm... how's practice going?"

"Great! I mean—yeah!" Ameya stammered.

Rico turned to Michael. "Hey, remember that bold girl who said she only liked you at our first fan sign?"

Michael laughed. "Yeah. Ponytail girl, right?"

Rico smirked. "That's her—Jenna."

Both Ameya and Jenna said at the same time, "Yeah! Me!"

Then they looked at each other.

Michael frowned. "Wait... it's only Jenna, right?"

Ameya quickly corrected, "Yes! Her! Not me!" She pointed at Jenna.

Rico's phone buzzed. "Okay, see you tomorrow," he smiled, dragging Michael away.

Later in the Dorm...

After everyone else had fallen asleep, Jenna sat with Ameya.

"Please," she whispered. "Why do you keep doubting me?"

"Because everything is too strange," Ameya whispered back. "But... maybe you're right."

Jenna sighed. "Then how did you get into my body?"

Ameya frowned. "I was practicing at Dance Studio... I got tired and fell asleep. Next thing I knew—I woke up as you. In your bed."

They both went silent.

"Wait..." Ameya's eyes narrowed. "You hugged your teddy before your soul got into my body, right?"

Jenna nodded tiredly. "Yeah..."

Ameya's eyes lit up.

"Then... maybe that's the key. The teddy."

Jenna's eyes widened. "The teddy...?"
