---
Far above Noxharte's towers, inside a silent, rune-sealed chamber…
The Headmaster stood alone.
Books floated around him.
Not normal books — memory-bound tomes written in the blood of archmages.
Each one whispered, and all whispered the same name:
> "Aero Nacht... Nacht... Nacht..."
---
He stared into a crystal scrying mirror.
It showed the battlefield replay — the cursed fire, the warped mana, Nyx's eyes, Aero's control without casting.
> "No sigils. No chants. No cost."
> "That… isn't human magic."
He turned to the floating memory book titled:
> "Forbidden Lineages: Monarchs Beyond Realms"
He opened to a page sealed with black wax.
The wax cracked on its own.
---
Elsewhere – Dormitory Rooftop
Nyx leaned against the railing, silver hair catching the starlight.
Aero stood beside her, quiet.
> "They're watching us now," she said.
> "They were always watching," he replied.
> "Do you remember anything… before?"
He paused.
> "Shadows. Cold. Screaming stars."
Nyx's voice dropped to a whisper.
> "My dreams are different. I remember kneeling before a throne… and you were on it."
---
Next Day – Headmaster's Office
Aero was summoned.
He stepped into the grand chamber. Bookshelves curved like a spiral staircase around floating lights. Runes buzzed gently.
The Headmaster waited.
Old. Grey. Sharp-eyed.
> "Aero Nacht," he said. "Do you know why you're here?"
> "Because I won."
> "No. Because I don't understand what you are."
Aero didn't blink.
> "Neither do I. But something inside me does."
The room darkened slightly.
One of the floating books cracked. A page disintegrated to ash.
The Headmaster stood.
> "Be honest. What do you want?"
Aero's eyes pulsed black for a heartbeat.
> "To remember. And to reclaim."
---
That Night – Academy Courtyard
A large sigil silently activated beneath the campus.
An ancient sensor — something the academy had long forgotten.
It was searching.
> Searching for anomalies. For void.
It pulsed once.
Then shattered.
---
Underground Chamber – Unknown Location
Hooded figures surrounded a map of Noxharte.
A black candle flickered.
> "He walks again," said one voice.
> "And the girl awakens too soon," said another.
One voice cracked with laughter.
> "Then we begin the ritual."
A bloody sigil lit up. A cursed star burned at its center.
> "The Reaping starts with the academy."
