Chapter 9

The bodyguards took out new equipment and thrust it back into the reporters' hands.

"Everything happening now is what should be recorded, what should be spread for the entire world to know."

Marcus's words, like a gentle caress of feathers, brushed against my heart, stirring a wave of emotion within me.

"I love Aria, more than anything. It's her now, and it will always be her. Even if she were to leave me, I swear I will never marry anyone else in this lifetime..."

Every word was resolute, and coming from such an exceptional Alpha, it would be a lie to say my heart wasn't stirred.

The reporters' faces turned ashen, all of them forced to film.

They didn't dare to challenge Marcus, but surely they wouldn't shy away from challenging Derek?

Derek's company, now that was someone they could afford to provoke.

"What the hell? So all that crap he was spouting just now, all that talk about love, was complete garbage?"

"If I were Aria, between Marcus and Derek, I'd choose Marcus too!"
