Chapter 24 Holy summoning

When Greg send a signal the soldiers started charging at full force.

Mages in the rear started launching volley of fire, ice and lightning.

Millions of arrows started to rain one by one.

The citizens who stayed to fight never experienced war or bloodshed.

Making them scared, weak minded but John never asked them to fight with him.

This was their choice so they wouldn't let John down.

John shouted back. "Raven how long?"

Raven shouted back "give me few more seconds!"

In front of Raven were two elderly couple.

"Ahh... Dear don't make this hard, we will meet each other in heaven." The old man smiled.

The old woman wiped her tears smiling back. "I'm sorry but can you send both of us together?" The old woman looked at Raven.

He could have ended it for the whole village in a heartbeat… but John had asked him to give them time.

Time for their last goodbyes.

Both the couple hugged each other, Raven gathered his necromancer energy, slowly invading their bodies.

The old couple died with smiles holding each other.

They were the last. Raven wiping the tears he wanted to spill.

Meanwhile John put his shield in front of himself, shouting "Vanguard" a magical golden wall spanning 100km was created in front of the shield.

John always wanted to protect others, mostly Madeline so this was his most powerful skill he learned for 10 years.

Protecting the whole village from the magical attacks and arrows.

When Raven shouted "Go!" John rushed at the soldiers forcing the golden wall to move with him by pure strength.

Madeline finally came, holding a flag in her main hand, which had a black cooler with the middle being a white cross.

While in her off hand was a sword which Ina gave to Madeline.

When Madeline raised the flag high up light particles started attaching to Madeline clothes.

In a few seconds on top of her clothes had radiant armor.

The citizens felt a warm voice calming their minds.

John only took two steps before his arms started to tremble from the weight of the wall.

The soldiers were trying to destroy the wall, on top of the wall still held strong against the magical attacks and arrows.

Madeline walked behind John. "John, This will be my last command protect the children."

John lowered his head. Tears running non stop "ARGGHHHH" with tears painting his face, he shouted in anger, sadness, and forgiveness.

He pushed the wall with millions of soldiers back one last time.

He ran to the church for the children.

Madeline didn't even look back at John who ran.

She raised her flag again this time the clouds made way for a light.

The light was the most beautiful thing someone could see but when 3 beings came down from those lights it was more astonishing.

Madeline knelt down for the angel in the middle. "Archangel Michael. Forgive me for my selfish reason, but I have summoned you to help me defeat these invaders."

Archangel Michael wanted to head back up when his body froze.

He sensed something bizarre, something so scary he was shocked.

Two eyes that warned him if he tried to leave, he wouldn't leave without leaving his head.

Michael was the most powerful archangel the only two things that scared him was when god got angry and when he fought a dragon.

But those two didn't even compare to the eyes he felt.

Michael looked at Madeline.

He was sad for the girl in front of him.

Her soul was broken beyond repair and she used all her mana just to summon the 3 of them.

Michael slowly nodded to agree. For him this was the first time someone with a broken soul could call him just to protect.

Ghost Sam was watching John run to the church when John passed him John's eyes were dragging his ghost form.

As if he saw him. Ghost Sam didn't linger on it as he saw Madeline calling 3 archangels one in the middle tried to turn.

But ghost Sam stared at him with hatred, even for him, it was sad to suggest Raven to give the citizens a painless ending.

But when Ina gave Madeline the sword he forced himself to help Madeline as much as he could.

When the 2 angels staggered backwards from his stare. The middle angel turned around to give a nod to Madeline.

When the wall finally started to disappear the soldier tried to rush blindly but when they saw Madeline.

Getting up and staring at them with 3 angels.

They wanted to pray for their sins. Their hands shaking.

A few unlucky soldiers who accidentally looked at the 3 angels face turning blind.

One of the archangels looked at those soldiers seeing all of their sins.

"Dear brother those people never deserve a chance for redemption." The archangel who just looked at his brother.

"Thank you Gabriel for that." Michael turned his head towards the soldiers, the magical attacks and arrows raining from the sky.

Michael sadly closed his eyes. "Forgive me father. Your most beautiful creations are destroying your love. With the sword you blessed me. I will send these monsters to hell itself!"
