Myrrak
An Unknown Palace:
“He’s not dead,” Queen Lynn said with a straight face, her arms folded across her chest. “He’s the Emperor now.”
Myrrak didn’t respond immediately. He stood still, staring at the wall as if he could see right through the wall. His expression shifted slightly, thoughtful and uncertain.
“Why would he change his name to Tharros?” he asked after a long silence, more to himself than anyone else. “I don’t understand it. What’s the point of a new name when you are still alive?”
Queen Lynn gave a half shrug. “I don’t know. Maybe he wanted to start fresh in his life… or maybe he wanted to bury who he used to be so that the world would forget who he was." She responded.
Myrrak turned slowly and looked at Lady Bana, who was still kneeling on the ground.
“You can get up now, Bana,” he told her gently. “You’ve been on your knees long enough.”
