CHAPTER 15

I STILL CAN'T get the letter I read the other day out of my mind. Mom didn't say anything about it when I asked her who sent the letter. Whoever it was, I'm sure they really need something from Dad.

And why am I bothering with that, what I should be worrying about right now is how to find the book our prof is asking me to look for in the library, especially for majors. Stupid! I've been wandering around here for a while now and can't find that book.

"Where are they?" I whispered to myself. This is really annoying! They must be playing hide and seek. And it's just a coincidence that witches aren't my classmates in this subject. I can't order anything. When I was near the very end of the library, someone suddenly spoke.

"Searching for something?" Well, I'm probably in the library, what else are you doing here? I wanted to say that because I was irritated because I still couldn't find the book.

I frowned when I couldn't see him around. I heard him laughing softly. I turned my head 360 degrees but I still couldn't see him. Don't tell me it's a ghost? I was about to leave when he spoke again.

"Hey! Where are you goin'?" Is this person really kidding me? I was about to speak when suddenly someone jumped in front of me from above. I stared at it in surprise. Is this a person? He smiled at me and extended his hand to me. I even heard him laugh softly.

"Hi. I'm Jun Takashi, by the way." he introduced himself. I was still staring at him in shock. You're the one he threw down from above, aren't you surprised? "Nee, Daijoubodesuka?" He said again and waved his hand in front of me.

This man is taller than me so I must have looked up to his shoulders. His eyes are a bit narrow and he has a small scar on the edge of his eyebrow. And he is undeniably handsome and his movements are very manly, especially his voice. Wait, should I talk to him?

I was brought back to reality when I realized I was staring at him in a daze.

"Huh?!?" was all I could say because I was shocked and couldn't understand what he said last time. My forehead wrinkled. He laughed again and scratched the back of his head.

"Uhm. Sorry, I must have surprised you." This was a sincere apology.

"What do you need?" I asked when I came back to my senses. He smiled again. Why does he have a tendency to smile? I can still see him as a toothpaste commercial-like expression. He looks exactly like a cute puppy.

"Ah. I noticed you've been wandering around here for a while, what are you looking for?" he asked.

"Wait, where did you come from?" I asked him and looked up to where he came from earlier.

"Eh. Over there," he pointed above the bookshelves, "I was sleeping but your noise woke me up," was his straightforward answer.

"Sorry! Did I bother you?" I said sarcastically and was about to leave when he suddenly touched my shoulder, making me look up. "What?" I said irritated.

"Here," he handed me a thick book. I looked at it as he handed it to me and almost dropped it because of the weight. What is this?

I looked at the cover of the book. My eyes widened as this was the book I was looking for. Seriously, is this the book they are asking us to find? When I looked up at the man, he was smiling broadly.

"Aaahh...thank you?" I said hesitantly to him.

"No probs, I finished reading it anyway." He was about to leave when I called him again. I should be nice to him because he helped me find it. If that's really the case.

"I'm Jackie," I introduced myself.

He smiled, "yeah I know, Bye. Jackie. We will meet again, surely." and waved his hand in farewell. People are really weird these days. I just scratched the back of my head.

I left that dark place and maybe someone else would suddenly appear. And maybe it would be Naruto again. When I was about to take the shelves out, someone suddenly appeared again. I sighed. If not there at the very end, then here again.

I just passed him by without any emotion and continued to the empty seat. Wow! Here comes the noise again.

"Hi, Jak! What are you doing here?" he asked as he sat down in front of me and put his elbow on the table, giving me a cheeky smile.

"What else are you doing in the library, Jayson?" I asked sarcastically, rummaging through the pages of this thick book.

"Eeh...you still remember me." he said happily, not caring about the volume of his voice. I looked around and saw that other people near our place were watching our behavior.

"Probably because of Id and your noise," there was still no emotion in him now that I looked at his behavior. And the fool just smiled so wide that it almost tore his face.

"At least, you still remember me," he said quietly for a few minutes. And I grabbed the chance to start the library work that our great professor had left behind. I would rather work here in the library because I'm sure there are many people queuing up at the university's computer section. And it's quieter here.

A few minutes later, he spoke. "Yes, Jackie, come with me after that, huh?!?" He just looked down and looked at me seriously.

"And why?" I asked without looking at his behavior. And busy with what he was doing. I saw him shrug.

"That's enough," he simply said. I didn't bother asking anymore and continued what I was doing. I had to finish this because I was itching to go home.

When I was finished and had put my things away on the table, Jayson suddenly pulled me to where

"Hey! Wait! Where are we going?" I asked her as we exited the library. She ignored me and just continued walking. I only noticed now that it was already dark. Was I too busy looking for a book earlier that it was already this dark when I finished?

And I haven't passed my assignment yet. Because this guy is dragging me around.

"Wait, I'll pass this," and I showed him the paper. He took it, called someone and ordered him to give it to our professor. And just like that, it turned out that my classmate was the one who passed.

Then we got into his car and started the engine and he sped away from the university. It only took a few minutes for us to reach this place. I frowned.

"Where are we?" I asked as I got out of the car. It was a good thing I was still alive because he was running so fast that he barely managed to take my scalp off.

"Just..." he replied and I could see outside that his colleagues were here including Hawal who was in the middle and he was just getting a pulse. I frowned at what I saw. I looked at the way they were looking, there was no one there, they were just looking at the warehouse door again.

But this isn't the warehouse near the house, I see around there are a lot of tires here and it's also close to the sea. I think this is a pier.

"Yow!" His companions turned their heads in our direction. And he frowned.

"What is he doing here?" one of his colleagues asked, pointing at me. It seemed like I wasn't welcome here.

"Hahaha..I invited her Jix." he said and approached them. "So, what's going on?" he added while his two hands were on her waist.

"Hey, Jayson, this isn't a party, I'm just letting you know." The man next to him who first asked Jayson a question said seriously.

"What?! He's so cool, and he's been a member of ours for a long time." he replied, not caring that what they were talking about was behind their backs. I frowned again. What?! I've been a member of theirs for a long time? Who said anything? Aber? What kind of cult is this?

"Stop that non sense chitchat." Drexel said emotionlessly and his face seemed irritated because of their noise.

"Kevin, you're so noisy!" He scolded the red-haired man.

"Gag*! Why me and you!" And they started arguing. I just shook my head and moved closer to their behavior.

"What's wrong?" As soon as I got closer, I immediately asked Drexel while hugging him and ignoring the two who were fighting.

"I'm more handsome!"

"F*ck, I'm more handsome than you!"

"Aargh!! Can you guys just be quiet for a moment!" Their companion shouted, apparently thinking Percy was conceived out of resentment.

"Hey! What's up?" I asked Drexel again. He really didn't even answer.

"Tsk!" I glanced at the behavior of his other colleague and narrowed my eyes because he was looking at me smiling. Why is everyone always smiling these days? Are they crazy?

"Why?" I asked irritated.

He laughed before answering. He's actually just being silly, huh?!

"We're here because we were challenged to a gang fight, that's why," he replied. AND shrugged.

Aahh...so why am I involved in this?

I looked ahead again and saw that the one challenging them hadn't come out yet. I had to think of a way to get them out so I could get home because I was tired.

Suddenly something popped up in my mind, like a message. I smiled at the thought. I looked around. And I still saw Kevin and Jayson arguing over who the women were more attracted to and the man who was conceived out of resentment was also curious, now he was about to burst into tears because his face was already red and he was laughing while seeing

Percy, who was conceived out of resentment, getting pissed off. And whatever position Drexel is was in earlier, he still didn't move.

I looked back ahead and took a deep breath and then shouted. I rang the siren of a police mobile three times before speaking.

"HEY! This is cops! If you don't get out of there, we will get inside to arrest all of you!" I shouted in a loud booming voice. I felt them at me with a weird look and now they stopped what they were doing, Jayson tared at me in shock as if three heads had grown out of me.

I grinned. "What?! I was just helping you." I said to them without hesitation and crossing my arms.

They just looked at me for a few seconds while the others were speechless. They must have been amazed by what I had done. I'm such a genius.

"So stupid." I heard Drexel say and shook his head.
