Chapter 35 — The Arsenal of the Undying

The Crypt of Legion's Rise thrummed with unspent power. A vast network of skeletal warriors marched, trained, and tested their growing power inside its obsidian halls. But in the silence that followed their monumental trial, Iden focused on something else entirely:

Planning. Upgrading. Preparing for what would come next.

The Raid Store was now open, shimmering in the air before him like a floating digital forge—translucent windows listing endless possibilities. And unlike the typical limited shops other candidates saw… Iden's list was deeper.

Much deeper.

Available RP

Iden: 1,720

Nyra: 1,600

Rael: 1,550

Iden scrolled past the Summon Capacity Upgrade (600 RP) without even blinking.

"I don't need more right now," he muttered. "I need better."

🔻 Iden's Selections:

🔹 [Blueprint: Boneforge Arsenal Module] (400 RP)A modular blacksmithing node upgrade. Allows crafting of tiered combat equipment with elemental slotting.

🔹 [Blueprint: Phantom-Range Caster Core] (350 RP)A mana-reactive ranged weapon design—functions like a sniper-bazooka hybrid, launching condensed spirit charges across massive range.

🔹 [Skill Scroll: Necrotic Echo Flare] (520 RP)Passive skill for ranged skeletons—allows energy shells to detonate on proximity or user-trigger.

🔹 [Blueprint: Field-Tinker Station] (300 RP)Deployable station skeletons can use to repair, modify, or evolve equipment on the battlefield.

Remaining RP: 150

Rael stepped beside him, glowing scroll in hand.

"I picked a healing evolution skill for Sanctum Pulse and a group-wide stamina shield."

"If you're training them to fight forever," she said, "I'll make sure they last forever."

🔸 Rael's Purchases:

Skill Scroll: Lifeburst Conduit (700 RP) – Passive regeneration aura for nearby summons

Skill Scroll: Renewing Sanctuary (600 RP) – On cast, grants 20% HP/MP over 10 seconds

RP Left: 250 (which she hands to Iden)

Nyra twirled a glyph-stone, expression unreadable.

"Scouts die first," she said, eyes narrow. "I picked upgrades to make sure they don't."

🔸 Nyra's Purchases:

Skill Scroll: Ghostnet Trail (600 RP) – Scouts leave sensor mines

Blueprint: Shadow-Link Anchor (700 RP) – Stealth units can now chain-swap positions

Skill Scroll: Mark of the Pale-Eyed (50 RP) – Grants targeting bonus against elites

Remaining RP: 250 (also handed to Iden)

Iden's Total RP: 650 (after receiving both their leftovers)

He nodded, brows furrowed.

"I'll save it. We'll need something last-minute soon enough."

"Summon remaining units," Iden ordered.

One by one, the remaining 296 skeletons appeared. Scouts. Warriors. Tanks. Woodcutters. Engineers. Mages. All slots filled to reach his new capacity:

[Summon Capacity: 336/336]

He tapped the new sniper/bazooka schematic open.

"Time to create a new kind of monster."

In the upgraded Boneforge Arsenal, two Builders and a Forge Warden worked under his direction.

Steel bones. Condensed necrotic cores. Spirit-reactive recoil dampeners.

What emerged was a long, jagged cannon-like weapon designed to channel raw soul energy into a directed charge.

"Equip this to Wraithbone Sniper 03," Iden commanded.

The moment the unit slung the weapon across its back, its form shifted. Its core adjusted.

 NEW UNIT CLASS UNLOCKED:

[Skullhowl Ravager – Long-Range Siege Skeleton]Role: Anti-personnel and Siege ArtilleryPassive: Deadlight Focus (After 6 seconds, shots gain piercing against magical shields)

Nyra whistled.

"So now they snipe through mana barriers?""We could use that against other candidates."

Rael chuckled, arms crossed.

"And here I thought your obsession with bones couldn't get any more dangerous."

The army was expanding. No longer just soldiers—they were a structure. A civilization of bone, steel, and willpower.

And Iden wasn't just a summoner anymore.

"We're ready," he said.

"Let the world send whatever it wants."
