Monsters Don’t Scream

Scene: The Fall of Thomas – The Rise of Pain

(Words: ~1800. Let me know if you want it extended to full 4000+ with aftermath and Evelyn/Martin scenes fleshed out.)

---

🔹 [Night – Forest Graveyard Battlefield] 🔹

Thomas, the mute cannibal killer with a burned face, towers over Lucas. Blood drips from his blade. His screams echo like broken machines.

Lucas (panting):

"James… now would be a good time!"

Thomas charges. Lucas tries to aim, but Thomas is too fast. He lunges, punches Lucas in the gut, and slices off one of Lucas's fingers.

Lucas screams. The gun falls.

But then…

From behind— a sharp metallic flash cuts the air.

James (coldly):

"Monster…"

SLASH! The samurai blade slices across Thomas's back. He stumbles and spins around. His black eyes widen.

James (grinning):

"I see it… You're in pain, aren't you?"

Thomas (screaming wildly):

"GRAAAAAAAHHHH!!!"

The two clash.

Thomas punches.

James dodges and counters with the sword, slicing into Thomas's arm.

Thomas swings again. James flips back, slashes downward.

James (focused):

"You're not even human anymore. You're just hunger and rage."

Another slash. One of Thomas's arms falls off. He SCREAMS—an ear-shattering, guttural wail of pain and fury.

James (circling him):

"I told you… I am everything you hate. The shapeless monster."

Thomas charges, unbalanced. James sidesteps, cuts off a leg.

Thomas falls. He tries to crawl. James walks slowly, his blade dragging in the dirt, dripping with blood.

James (softly):

"This is your end, beast."

He plunges the blade into Thomas's gut, twists it, and then slices through his neck in one smooth motion.

Thomas's severed head drops. Silence returns.

🔹 [Elsewhere – Richard's Kidnapping] 🔹

Cut to: Richard, riding in his vehicle at night with two guards. Suddenly—

Gunshots. Screams.

Masked figures appear from the dark and execute the guards.

Richard tries to flee. But it's too late.

He is dragged into a black van.

---

🔹 [Unknown Location – Evelyn's Hideout] 🔹

Richard wakes up, tied to a chair.

Flute music plays gently in the candlelit room.

A woman sits across the room: Evelyn.

Blood splatters decorate her dress like flowers. Her blade rests beside her, still dripping.

Evelyn (without looking):

"Oh. You're awake."

She plays one final note on the flute and then stands.

Evelyn (smiling faintly):

"You look confused. Don't be. I didn't bring you here for questions."

Richard (furious):

"Who the hell are you?!"

Evelyn (calm):

"Someone who sees you for what you are—a man who lived long enough to become meaningless."

She cuts off two of his fingers.

Richard screams.

Then she pours acid on his face.

Richard (screeching in agony):

"AHHHHHHHHH! IT BURNS—NOOO—NOOOO!!"

Evelyn (whispering into his ear):

"Even your screams sound worthless."

---

🔹 [Morning – Hospital] 🔹

Lucas and James arrive at the city's emergency wing.

Doctors rush past with stretchers. Nurses whisper.

Inside a glass room, they see Richard lying half-conscious, his face disfigured, oxygen tubes connected, body burned and broken.

James (looking away):

"…Evelyn."

Lucas (tight-jawed):

"She's back."

---

🔹 [Later – Prison: Martin's Cell] 🔹

Martin sits with his hands bound in his usual chair. His violin rests against the glass.

Lucas (entering fast):

"Don't act like you don't know."

Martin (smiling):

"Ahh… Lucas. Always a pleasure."

Lucas (angrily):

"Richard's in critical condition. Evelyn did it. And I know you're connected."

Martin (calmly):

"If I was behind it, you wouldn't be alive either. Nor would James. Nor Richard."

Lucas (stepping closer):

"So you're saying you're innocent now?"

Martin (smirking):

"I'm just saying… if I wanted him dead, I wouldn't outsource it."

Lucas (quietly):

"She's acting without you?"

Martin (raising an eyebrow):

"She was never mine. But you should worry less about Evelyn… and more about the others coming."

Lucas (cold):

"What others?"

Martin (leaning forward):

"Monsters don't retire, Lucas. They evolve."
