Time flies in war.
Five months passed in a flash.
The entire world of Resident Evil had undergone earth-shaking changes in just five months.
November 15
Jill led her troops to recapture the entire state of Colorado, and the zombies in the territory were nearly eradicated.
November 30
Her forces reclaimed four southern states, including Texas.
Millions of individuals successfully received virus enhancements, becoming the so-called new humans.
December 25
Apart from the old government and the seven states under its rule, the rest of America was under Jill's control.
Tens of millions had now evolved into new humans.
December 26
After celebrating one final Christmas, the old government officially surrendered to the Republic of Colorado.
The entire United States was unified.
January 1, 1999
The Republic of Seville, also known as the Republic of Survivors, was founded with Raccoon City as its capital.
Malrick was hailed as the founding father and elected as the first chairman.
January 2
Malrick stepped down from parliament, and Jill Valentine became the second chairman.
January 31
All of North America was now under the Republic of Seville's jurisdiction.
The remnants of Umbrella Corporation and other rogue organizations like HCF and "The Family" were eliminated by new human warriors.
Wesker, the head of Umbrella, was literally punched into a wall by Jill—he couldn't even be pulled out.
February 26
Zombies were eradicated in most parts of the world.
The population of new humans exceeded 300 million.
Malrick led the remaining global forces to establish an International Joint Organization.
America was governed by the Republic of Seville. Asia, Australia, and Africa were led by the Rabbit Nation, whose population still numbered nearly a billion. The remaining people of nations like the Bear Federation and the Gallic Republic co-governed Europe.
This International Joint Organization would now mediate global conflicts and promote world integration.
Malrick became Co-Chairman.
Jill and Mr. Zhou from Rabbit Nation served as Vice-Chairpersons.
Thus, the months-long apocalypse came to an end.
This day was later declared the new International Christmas—celebrating not just the birth of new humanity, but the coming of the "God of the Human World."
March 30
The joint new human forces cleansed the last infected zones on Earth. Even Umbrella's secret bases beneath the ocean and in Antarctica were destroyed, along with the remaining infected.
The Earth returned to its peaceful blue hue.
March 31
Malrick finally received the reward promised by the world consciousness.
Floating between Earth and the sun, golden sunlight bathed him, energizing his cells.
After five months of solar absorption, his single-arm strength exceeded 1.7 million tons. Growth had slowed now, nearing the upper limits.
Suddenly, invisible fluctuations rippled around him.
The world consciousness connected to his brainwaves—its emotions clear: joy, gratitude.
It granted him partial world authority.
Something unexplainable fused into Malrick's body.
The world changed before his eyes.
No longer bound to sunlight or atoms, he now saw colored auras and energy flows—red, cyan, black, white.
His power skyrocketed. One motion of his finger created a hundred-meter wave in the Pacific below.
He could now manipulate fate, consume his own life force, or fabricate matter from nothing.
This authority was the very force that empowered Tony's body and his own prior enhancements.
He finally understood: the world consciousness had always been sacrificing pieces of itself.
Malrick now grasped that this authority allowed him to pry an entire world with a single lever.
He looked far beyond the solar system—his empowered super vision saw it all.
The truth of the Resident Evil world was revealed: only ten times the size of the solar system, it was one of countless minor realms.
Its theme: evolution, mutation, survival.
When those themes stagnated, the world would collapse.
No wonder evolution had always been pushed.
Then, another gift—Genetic Self-Locking Ability—fused into him. It became an innate skill.
Had the S-virus not advanced humanity, even this final reward would've been impossible.
This ability allowed him to alter or preserve genetic states. He plucked a hair, and saw its DNA revert to his 18-year-old self.
"Amazing," Malrick said with a smirk.
Mentally, he communicated with the consciousness: "Thanks for the reward. Let's work together again sometime."
The consciousness, oblivious to human cunning, sent back nothing but joy and peace.
Then it withdrew—its influence ebbing like a tide across the world.
Malrick floated above the planet, staring silently.
"We've taken all there is to take, fought all battles, even saved Tony."
"It's time to go."
He appeared in Raccoon City.
Now, with his authority, Malrick was near a low-tier universe-level god.
He found Ada and Jill.
They were unwilling to leave but understood. Jill, now Chairwoman, had billions to care for. Ada would stay to help.
"Wait for me, Malrick. When this world is finally at peace, I'll join you," Jill promised.
"I'll go too. She can't run this place solo," Ada added, folding her arms.
"But before you go, tie up some loose ends."
"I'm not vanishing forever. Time flows faster here—I'll visit often."
He also mentioned taking Shirley Birkin with him, as no one here could care for her.
Ada yanked his collar playfully: "You owe me wages!"
The Next Morning
Malrick visited Tony Stark.
Tony was thriving—adored worldwide, improving the Iron Man suit, though keeping its progress secret.
But hearing Malrick's intent to leave, Tony was conflicted.
He enjoyed being a hero and the admiration from young fans like Bud and Elliot.
But he missed home—Pepper, his own bed.
"Let's go. Destroy what needs destroying. Say goodbye properly."
Malrick incinerated the data and products from past unethical experiments.
Then, the two said farewell to their friends.
In Raccoon City's central square—where statues of Malrick, Jill, and Tony stood—the people wept.
Malrick and Tony, with little Shirley Birkin between them, waved one last time.
And vanished from the world of Resident Evil.
