God of Thunder, Meet the Boy With the Watch

Mumbai – Early Morning

The street was alive with its usual colorful chaos—auto-rickshaws honking, the smell of frying samosas and spices wafting through the air, people shouting over each other at tea stalls. Amid the bustle, Kai sat on a plastic stool near a street vendor, munching contentedly on vada pav with chutney dripping down his fingers.

Beep. Beep. Beep.

He glanced at his wrist communicator. A familiar face appeared on the tiny screen.

Tony Stark.

"Hello?"

"Namaste, bro," Kai said, licking his fingers.

There was a long pause.

"Nam-namaste? No. Absolutely not. I told you yesterday to be ready. We're flying out for the Thor situation—today. You said you'd stay put. So why does your location say you're in Mumbai, India?"

Kai shrugged. "I wanted vada pav. So… I came here."

"You flew to India? For a snack?"

Kai grinned. "You ever had vada pav?"

"That's not the—! Look, this is not a food tour! You're the friendly neighborhood delivery boy, not friendly international delivery boy. Last time I pinged you, you were in South Korea eating kimbap!"

"Okay, okay. Relax. I'll be there in ten minutes. You go first."

Tony groaned through the comm. "You better not stop for pani puri on the way. Ten minutes."

The call ended.

Kai tossed the paper plate in the trash, dusted his hands, and ducked into an empty alley.

He looked up at the sky, stretched, and tapped the Omnitrix.

"Alright. Hero time."

Click. Spin. Slam.

His body shifted, then shrunk—wings unfolded, red membranes flaring as he took to the skies as Jetray, soaring westward across the Arabian Sea, faster than any jet.

Puente Antiguo, Mexico – Hours Later

The tiny town looked like something out of a forgotten postcard—dusty roads, crooked telephone poles, and a single gas station that doubled as a diner. A few SHIELD trucks idled near the outskirts, but otherwise, it was quiet.

Inside a small pub, Tony Stark sat across from Thor, the God of Thunder himself, who now wore local clothes—jeans and a weathered jacket—looking slightly out of place but also strangely at peace. Jane Foster and Darcy were nearby, nursing cold drinks.

Tony took a sip of beer and raised an eyebrow.

"So… the guy who tried to club a Frost Giant the size of a bus is now sipping Dos Equis and talking about rainbows."

Thor chuckled. "Bifrost."

"Right, that. So—god of thunder, stranded on Earth, no hammer. Sounds like a midlife crisis but with more lightning."

Jane nudged Tony with a warning glance. "He's trying his best."

"Trying's good," Tony said. "But we've got storms brewing, and SHIELD's officially stopped pretending you're just some weird hiker with delusions."

Thor looked up. "They know who I am?"

Tony nodded. "You're on the radar now. No more hiding. And… neither is someone else."

Just then, the door creaked open.

A sudden gust of desert wind blew in… and with it, Kai, brushing sand off his hoodie and trying to look casual.

"Sorry," Kai said, stepping inside. "Took a wrong turn at Albuquerque."

Tony smirked. "Speak of the devil."

Thor turned—and paused. He looked at Kai for a long moment, not with suspicion… but curiosity.

"You," Thor said slowly, "are feels different ."

Kai blinked. "That's getting really old."

Kai and Thor shook hands—though Thor's grip nearly crushed Kai's fingers.

Tony raised his glass. "Boys, meet each other properly. Kai, Thor Odinson. Thunder god, exiled prince, future superhero. Thor, this is Kai. Secret identity, alien watch on wrist, kind of a delivery guy, kind of not."

Kai sat at the edge of the booth. "You're really a god?"

Thor smiled. "Not in the way you think. But I am from Asgard. And I carry the storm in my veins."

Kai tapped his wrist. "Well… I carry multiple different aliens on mine. So that makes us even."

Darcy leaned over to Jane and whispered, "This is like watching two anime characters meet mid-season."

The conversation warmed quickly.

Kai asked about the realms. Thor described the Nine Worlds, the Bifrost, and the war with the Frost Giants. In return, Kai shared vague mentions of hi adventures, the Omnitrix, and the strange Vendor X who had been selling alien DNA to Earth's worst people.

"So," Tony finally said, sipping again. "We've got mythological gods, galactic parasites, HYDRA playing space Frankenstein, and—oh right—one magical hammer no one can lift."

Thor's expression darkened slightly. "I was not worthy."

Kai studied him. "You ever figure out why?"

Thor looked down at his hands. "Arrogance. I thought strength alone made me a leader. I was wrong."

Kai nodded slowly. "Power doesn't make you a hero. Choices do."

Thor met his eyes and smiled, clearly respecting the boy more than expected.

"You are young," he said. "But wise."

Tony leaned back. "Alright, don't start forming a thunder-alien bromance without me."

Outside the Pub – Nightfall

The sky above Mexico was crystal clear, stars spread like fireflies across velvet.

Thor stood alone beside the road, staring at the heavens.

Kai stepped beside him.

"You miss home?" he asked.

Thor nodded. "I do. But I am learning… perhaps I needed to lose it to know what it meant."

Kai looked up at the stars, silent for a moment.

"I didn't lose my home. I left it. And I still don't know why I landed here. But maybe… this place needs help more."

Thor placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Then perhaps your purpose lies here. With us."

From the shadows, Jane watched the two of them—young, powerful, and strangely similar. Beings from distant worlds… both trying to do the right thing.

And the world, whether it was ready or not, had started to bring them together.
