5.Am I sleepwalking 1

**4 Months Later**

"Have you seen any trace of her?"

A man in a sleek black suit stood facing the scenery outside the tall glass window, the very image of a god in human form.

"No, Alpha Cross," the young man kneeling on the floor stammered, keeping his gaze fixed on the ground.

Alpha Cross slowly turned from the window, his sharp, cold eyes landing on the trembling figure. His presence alone carried a dark and chilling aura that made even the bravest of men shiver.

He began tapping his long fingers rhythmically on the desk in front of him.

"You still have not found her," he said slowly, each word sinking deep into the young man's chest like a blade.

"No, Alpha. But we will try harder," the man replied, his voice shaking with fear.

"That is not good enough."

In a flash, Alpha Cross moved.

Sizzle.

The man's lifeless body crumpled to the floor with a heavy thud, his head rolling away.

Without a flicker of emotion, Alpha Cross returned to his chair. He pulled a crisp handkerchief from his pocket and casually wiped the blood from his hand.

He picked up his phone and made a quick call. Within moments, two men entered the room and began cleaning up the mess as though nothing had happened. Precaution was always necessary, especially with humans around.

Where could a petite girl possibly be hiding in this world?

---

"Omg, Luce! You look so good, and I can see the baby is coming along well!" Cassandra squealed with excitement as Lucia exited the plane.

Lucia smiled brightly, pulling her best friend into a tight hug. She greeted Max warmly with a wide grin. Max took her luggage, and together they headed toward where Cassandra had parked the car.

I took a good look at my best friend. We had not seen each other in person for three months, only through video calls.

Cassandra was two months along now, her tiny bump just beginning to show. I, on the other hand, was nearly four months along, but my bump was not very noticeable yet.

Max placed my luggage in the trunk, and I climbed into the passenger seat beside Cassandra as Max started driving.

The car ride was filled with chatter, mostly Cassandra filling me in on all the latest news.

Apparently, Amy was now dating someone, a guy no one knew anything about, but from the way Cassandra spoke, it seemed serious.

My thoughts drifted back to my last conversation with Will.

---

"I am so sorry," I had said, backing away as Will leaned in to kiss me.

Guilt had been gnawing at me, eating me alive ever since that night. I had cheated on him. I could not keep pretending everything was fine.

"What is wrong, babe? Is everything alright?" he asked gently, leaning back on the couch and giving me space.

"I... I..."

The words caught in my throat. Cassandra had told me not to overthink it, that it had been just a drunk mistake, nothing more. But that did not make it easier. Not when the guilt weighed so heavily on me.

Taking a deep breath, I finally forced the words out.

"I cheated on you."

The look on Will's face broke my heart, the hurt and confusion. Tears welled up in my eyes.

"I am so sorry. I have no excuse," I sniffled.

To my surprise, Will wrapped an arm around me as I sobbed.

"It is okay," he said softly, smiling. "At least you told me yourself. I forgive you. I want us to work things out. I am not going to let one mistake ruin what we have."

Since then, we had been okay.

---

"Lucia! Hey, come back to earth!" Cassandra called, snapping me out of my thoughts.

I blinked and looked around. We had arrived at my place.

"Thanks for the ride," I said, smiling at them both.

"We really have to run. We have a doctor's appointment," Cassandra said with a grin, her hand resting on her small baby bump.

"Ooh, that is nice. I bet our kids will be the best of friends," I said cheerfully, waving them off as they drove away.

Pulling out my phone, I checked for messages. Will had texted earlier, asking when I would be back from the program.

I had just returned from an amazing fashion program in Japan. The experience had been incredible, and I had eaten so much sushi I half-joked that the baby might come out loving it.

Smiling to myself, I looked up at my house, feeling a wave of familiarity and comfort. I really missed this place.

I pulled my suitcase upstairs, took a quick shower, and changed into a comfortable pair of pants. Exhausted, I headed straight for bed.

At that moment, I was the very definition of tired.
