Lein With His New Power

Samael...

"My name is Samael Angelic..." the man said, introducing himself.

"Samael Angelic? Do you have any connection with the angels, huh?" Lein asked, his gaze growing sharper.

"Just because my last name is Angelic, you think I'm connected with angels and accuse me without basis, Lein," Samael said with a sneer.

"Just because we've just met, don't think you can be overly familiar with me," Lein said, his gaze still sharp.

"Do people with mental issues and psychopathy like you always get angry like this?" Samael said with a faint smile, his facial expression remaining calm.

"How do you know about me, huh?! Who are you really?!" Lein exclaimed, his voice raised as he gripped Samael's collar tightly, his gaze sharper than before.

"Hey, hey, hey... Calm down, we can discuss this calmly," Samael said, his voice steady as he tried to calm down Lein.

Lein took a deep breath and finally released Samael, but his gaze remained as sharp as before. "Alright, but you need to explain who you are and how you know about me."

"Sure, but I'll explain it at my place... Follow me," Samael said with a small smirk on his face.

Lein clicked his tongue in annoyance, but eventually he complied and nodded his head slowly.

----

During the journey, neither of them uttered a single word, Lein waiting patiently while hoping they would arrive at Samael's place soon.

"We've arrived," Samael said, stopping in front of a house that appeared locked and neglected.

Lein gazed at Samael's house, it was small, looked utterly neglected, and seemed as though no one had lived there before.

"Is this really your house?" Lein asked, his tone laced with suspicion.

Samael's eyes locked onto Lein's as he offered his hand, "Hold on to me."

Lein stared at Samael with a piercing gaze, but ultimately he grasped Samael's hand. Samael quickly walked through the wall of his house, leaving Lein bewildered as to why he could do so as well.

"W-what just happened?!" Lein asked Samael in bewilderment.

"Calm down, it's one of my Flux abilities," Samael replied calmly, placing his books on the table.

Lein looked around the interior of Samael's house with confusion and curiosity, the house contained only a small mattress, cooking utensils, a table and chair, and a bookshelf filled with many books.

"Alright... Now answer my question, how did you know about me and who are you really?" Lein said, his gaze sharp again, but his tone remained calm.

Samael let out a gentle sigh, sat down in the chair, and smiled at Lein. "Of course, it's because of my Flux ability, but there are actually several factors as to why I was able to find out about you..."

"Lein... You know that on this earth realm, we have 13 countries, and among those 13 countries, there are 4 major countries that hold significant power," Samael explained to Lein.

"Yeah, I know... Celestial, Qin Dynasty, Dasmond Kingdom, and the Elemental Forest," Lein replied, answering Samael's question.

"These four major countries refer to our abilities with different names, Celestial... They call this supernatural power Flux," Samael said.

"Flux is described by the people of Celestial as a supernatural power, they conceptualize that the energy of this power is based on their thoughts to manifest it into physical form or energy," Samael smiled again, explaining the Flux power system to Lein.

"In the Qin Dynasty nation, the locals refer to this power as Cultivation... A power that derives its energy from internal energy, namely Qi, which has two types, Yin and Yang, as its fundamental energies," Samael continued his explanation.

"Cultivation can only be manifested from the user's internal energy and their concentration, which is actually a different concept from Flux," Samael added.

"In the Dasmond Kingdom, they call it Mana... Mana is the fundamental energy they shape, channel through their body, and manifest in physical form or what they refer to as magic," Samael continued explaining to Lein, who had initially gazed sharply at Samael but now could only listen intently while standing.

"Lastly, the Elemental Forest, they name this power as Nature Magic... The fundamental source of energy they call Mana as well, but what distinguishes it is that the locals manifest that Mana into Elemental Nature Magic," Samael finally let out a breath, smiling at Lein as he concluded explaining the power systems of the 4 major nations.

"The reason Flux has a concept and categorizes its powers into different types is so that the power can be focused on one thing to make it stronger, but Passive Flux and Secondary Flux can manifest anything regardless of type," Samael said.

"I understand now, but what's the specific reason you explained all this to me?" Lein asked curiously.

"Lein... Do you want to become stronger?" Samael asked Lein.

"Yeah, Why?" Lein replied spontaneously.

"How about you to learn Cultivation and Mana from these two books?" Samael showed Lein the two books on the table he had placed earlier.

"What? But... How?" Lein asked.

"This is simple, and the book is also at a relatively low level, so you might experience a bit of difficulty in learning it. How about starting with Cultivation?" Samael handed Lein the book containing the basics of Cultivation.

Lein took the book from Samael's hand, gazed at it, and then nodded slightly.

"Good, first... Close your eyes, focus on controlling your Flux, then absorb the energy from the book, and you'll learn the first stage of Summoner-type Cultivation," Samael instructed Lein.

Lein nodded slightly again, closed his eyes, and focused his mental energy to concentrate on absorbing the Cultivation from the book.

He absorbed the energy, but blood began to flow from his eyes, ears, and nose. Lein struggled to endure, and after a long, grueling moment, he finally succeeded in absorbing the energy.

"Good job, Lein... You succeeded, even if it's a weak Summoner-type Cultivation," Samael said, clapping his hands.

"Fuck!" Lein's breathing was labored, and he felt his entire body throbbing with pain.

"Alright, Lein... Now, focus on summoning a creature using the Cultivation flow that you've just absorbed into your body," Samael instructed Lein again

Lein clicked his tongue in annoyance, but since he had already started, he complied. He focused the new energy and manifested it.

A monster slightly taller and larger than Lein appeared before him, resembling a human but with fangs and menacing eyes. Lein was shocked by the power of his new ability.

"W-what's happening?! Why can I do Summoning, when my original power isn't like that!" Lein exclaimed in amazement.

"I told you, Lein... The new energy that entered your body has given you a different type of power, and you're able to master it," Samael replied.

Lein's gaze lingered on his summoned creature, his expression a mix of amazement and fascination. He couldn't believe he had gained such a unique ability.

"I have one more offer to make you even stronger, Lein..." Samael said.

"What is it?" Lein asked, his gaze serious.

"Merge with me, and you'll gain my power, and I'll gain yours. In other words, our powers will become identical," Samael said with a faint smile.

"W-what?" Lein asked in surprise, taken aback.

"So, Lein, do you agree? This is called a resonance process," Samael asked again.

Lein swallowed hard, lost in thought for a moment, still uncertain. He wanted to undergo the resonance process to become stronger—but he didn't fully trust Samael yet.

Lein finally made a decision, he ultimately chose to...
