Chapter 75 - The Tables Turn at Dinner

"Actually," I said quietly, "I don't think you owe anyone anything, Felix."

Felix's smile widened. "See? That's the kind of gracious attitude I respect. You're not trying to claim credit for something clearly beyond your means."

Zara giggled, raising her wine glass again. "Ethan's finally learning his place. It's actually quite sweet."

"There's nothing wrong with being realistic about your circumstances," Felix continued, swirling his wine. "Traditional medicine has its place in society. A small place, but a place nonetheless."

Leo's phone buzzed again. He looked at the message and his face went completely white.

"If you'll excuse me," he stammered, "I need to speak with security about our incoming guests."

"More VIP treatment?" Zara asked excitedly.

"Something like that," Leo muttered, hurrying out of the room.

Felix watched him go with satisfaction. "Probably coordinating with the sommelier about pairing wines with the remaining courses."
