Rudra had been in this world for more than 2 years now, and he got a feeling that he would be able to see outside of the house and see the situation the world is in, and determine what type of world he is in. Rudra spends most of his time reading, sleeping, shitting, eating and just normal walk like a baby and exploring new worlds (places inside his house). Sometimes he does help his mom by doing simple tasks, but what he spends most of his time on is reading. He hasn't gone out to see the village yet, but he had a mysterious feeling that soon he would be able to visit his village.
Rudra's life has been dull for all year, as he can do nothing except act like a child. He had been studying like a maniac, as it was the only thing he could do without much pressure, and it didn't require much strength either. He was trying to find out about this world through textbooks as well, so he had been reading like a maniac. He had gathered a much information than before, and he wasn't as clueless as before. He now knew the name of the village, he had been staying all along, and he also found out about the kingdom, though not deeply, as it would be impossible to find a deeper level understanding of the kingdom through these kinds of books. Who would be stupid enough to publish the deep secrets of the kingdom publicly? Unless they want to rebel or cause civil war. The village name that he had been living was called Blooming Village, and the kingdom's name is Evergreen Kingdom, as this kingdom possesses only hills and greenery. There are no desserts or mountains in this kingdom, and most of the kingdom's territory has forests.
There is another forest, but that forest is said to be bigger than the Evergreen kingdom itself. That forest has a border with 5 countries, and Rudra's village is on the border with that kingdom. He had been looking at that forest all his life, as even if you don't want to look at it, it will enter your line of sight. Why? Because the trees of this forest are so big that they look like they are going to devour the whole village, but it only looks dangerous, it isn't dangerous, and this forest has been peaceful for who knows how long, as if someone is keeping this forest at bay. The height of these trees was 10 stories high, which was the average height of the trees in this world, and it would take 10 people to completely wrap around this tree. The name of this forest was Looming Forest.
These forests are inhabited by a lot of beasts, as he heard this from his father, Sam. His father, being a hunter, had a lot of knowledge about this forest than his mother, who was raised in this village for her whole life. Rudra was certain that this world contained magic, but he couldn't pinpoint where or what.
Rudra saw his mother smiling, and she had been smiling after her talk with Aunt Lucy, as if someone had plastered the smile to her face. Rudra got curious as to what made her smile like that, as she smiles like that only if something good is happening or father is returning home after a long hunt with hunts. So he decided to ask his mom. He went near her tailoring machine and asked hesitantly, as if he shouldn't ask something like that. "Mama, why you smile?" Rudra could only utter these words as he still couldn't speak fluently.
Seshat saw Rudra looking at her with cute puppy eyes, with an innocent look. She suppressed her urge to poke his cheeks and tease. She replied, " Ooh, why? you don't like me smiling like that?" She asked in a teasing tone. Rudra was startled by such a question.
"No No, I like you smile but why?" Rudra hurriedly said.
"Hahaha. I was just joking. You wanted to know why I was smiling? Well, we're about to have a visitor from far away. They are called the magician's caravan, as they travel all around the different kingdoms as they do trading, and their arrival is equal to the festival, and it is celebrated with a huge feast." Seshat replied with a smile still on her face.
"Why?"
Ooh yeah. You are just a kid and you know nothing, so let me tell you. The caravan consists of people who sell and buy things by giving you money or items of equivalent value. They carry a lot of mysterious things, and they also sell and buy from you. Mama has sewn a lot of clothes and made a lot of utensils just to sell them to them. By selling them, I can buy you a lot of delicious food as well. They also travel to a lot of places, and they have many different things from different places that you won't get here, and another thing is that the people in this village earn money by selling things to them."
"Oooh! That's why you were smiling. Will they bring a magical thing as well? I want to see magic, magic." Rudra said in excitement.
"Magic is just folklore, son. Things like that don't exist. And you should go to your room and study, and when the caravans come, I will take you with me to see them. Okay? Now go and study." Seshat said in a happy voice.
Rudra listened to his mom and went to his room. But he doesn't have any motivation to study right now. He was a man from another world, and he is getting impatient right now, and he has been stuck in this world for more than 2 years now, and he is starting to miss his old world. He had been having a feeling for a while now that the more he stays in this world the more he would get influenced by it and would lose something important and he don't what it is but he had been having this bad feeling but this bad feeling has also been giving him a huge sense of relief and a new form of sense had been forming inside of him and he don't hate it, infact, he had been looking forward to it. And he also started to notice that his behaviour had been gradually changing as he had started to act like a real child, as if influenced by something. And this change didn't go unnoticed by him, but he did nothing to stop it because he felt good being able to live as a child again and being loved by his family, and why would he want to destroy his own happiness?
He will be able to go outside for the first time when the caravan comes. And he is eagerly waiting for the caravans to come. And with hope in his heart, he started to read and prepare for the time when the caravans come, as if he wants to converse with them, he first has to be able to speak, if not, then what's the point of going outside? He wants to interact with as many people as he can so as to gather information.
Meanwhile, Seshat was in a hurry as she still had a lot of materials to use and prepare a lot of products to sell. Seshat is now in a heavy mood, and now she is working like crazy and is waiting for the arrival of Sam. She sent Rudra to study so that she could work with a free and peaceful mind.
And just like this night came, she still hasn't prepared dinner yet. Sam also came today and saw no one in the kitchen, and no food had been cooked. he ran upstairs in a hurry, as she was worried that something had happened to his wife and his child. "SESHAT!! RUDRA!!" he shouted in a panic, and he waited for a reply, but heard no reply. He first went upstairs in a hurry towards the workshop. He came outside the workshop, and he heard a person's shallow breathing from inside the workshop. He opened the door quickly and saw Seshat lying on the floor, and he, worried, hurriedly went and picked up Seshat. "Seshat, what happened to you? Oiii, wake up, wake up." He spoke to Seshat, but she didn't reply. He checked her vital signs and found everything alright, and he found out that she was just unconscious. he looked here and there for water but found not a single vessel containing water. So, he went downstairs towards the kitchen and brought water in a glass. He sprinkled some drops of water on Seshat's face, which brought Seshat to her consciousness. "Oiii, what happened? Did anyone attack you? why were you on the floor, collapsed?
Seshat slowly opened her eyes, but she was confused. When she heard her husband's voice, she woke up quickly, but after hearing her husband speak/question so much, she said in an irritated yet lovely voice with a clear mind, "Relax, relax, why are you asking so many questions. Take a break first. I was tired. I had been working all day and just slept on the floor as I didn't even have any energy to walk. ooh yeah, I haven't even cooked dinner yet, and Rudra hasn't eaten anything yet."
Sam said in an irritated tone, "Are you an idiot? why were you working hard without eating anything, and why do you have to push yourself to the brink of exhaustion? Is your work more important than you? Sam said in a worried tone and also reprimanded her for her negligence of herself. "And where is Rudra?"
"Ooh, Rudra is in the bedroom. I ordered him to go to the room and study."
"Then why isn't he replying or making any noises? Did something happen to him while you were unconscious?"
Both of them got worried now, as when Seshat didn't reply, it could be due to her falling unconscious, but what about Rudra? They hurriedly went to the bedroom, worries clearly seen on their face. It was pitch black and nothing could be seen, but Seshat heard a relieved sigh of breathing
She asked, " What is it, darling? Is everything alright? Did you find Rudra? Is he okay?"
Sam replied, "Yes, everything is alright as he is just asleep and there are tons of books around him, and he is sleeping surrounded by books. let's go out and not disturb him, but just in case, light up a candle in the room."
Let's go downstairs and talk about this situation.
Both of them went downstairs. sam brought a bunch of candles and lit them up, and he also lit up lamps all around the house, as Seshat is in a weak state now. After lighting up the whole house, he went to the living room where Seshat was resting for now.
"You haven't eaten, right? Come, I will cook tonight's dinner while you explain to me about all of this."
Sam went towards the entrance of the home and picked up a bird that looked like a chicken but was bigger than a chicken by 3 times. He had let go of his hunt when he got worried for his family and left to find them in a hurry. Now it's time for
