CHAPTER 5 Ripples Through the Stars

CHAPTER 5 — Ripples Through the Stars

The wreckage of the battlefield still smoked. Hammerstrike's massive frame lay in a crater of shattered stone and steel, crimson armor cracked and darkened, his systems locked in shutdown.

Kael stood over the fallen titan, fists still faintly glowing. His breath was steady, eyes sharp. Veyra hovered nearby, crystalline flames slowly fading from her hands.

The team had fought as one pushing Hammerstrike's adaptive systems to the limit, breaking through his kinetic armor with perfectly timed, combined strikes. It had taken everything: Kael's raw will, Veyra's resonant energy, Orion's cosmic power, Lyra's speed and precision, and Zevak's calculated interference.

At last, the giant had fallen. But the battle was only the beginning.

Zevak scanned the wreckage from a hovering drone, eyes narrowed. "His core reactor is stable… barely. Someone engineered this. Hammerstrike wasn't acting alone."

Orion cracked his knuckles. "Then whoever sent him is next."

Lyra crouched beside Hammerstrike's remains. "This armor… this tech… it's not from this universe."

Veyra turned to Kael, her voice low. "We're being watched."

Kael nodded he had felt it too. A faint presence, distant but undeniable. Somewhere beyond the stars, something or someone had taken notice of their victory.

That night, high above Earth aboard the team's dimensional craft, The Horizon Veil, Zevak displayed a holographic projection of the data he had gathered during the fight.

"Incoming energy signatures… coordinated signal pulses… this wasn't a random attack," Zevak explained. "Hammerstrike was a test. Someone was probing Earth's defenses and ours."

Kael's eyes narrowed. "Who?"

Zevak adjusted the display. "Unknown… but the signal pattern matches ancient Omni coding older than anything in the local multiverse."

Silence fell over the group.

Lyra finally spoke. "Then we need to get stronger. Fast."

Veyra looked to Kael. "We barely won this fight. Next time… it may not be so simple."

Kael's gaze was resolute. "We prepare. Train. And when the next threat comes—" he clenched his fist, cosmic light sparking in his palm, "—we'll be ready."

Far away, beyond the veil of known space…

A shadowed figure watched through ancient, shifting glyphs. Its voice, calm and cold, echoed into the void:

"So… they survived."

The figure turned. Around it, unseen forces stirred. Other warriors other creations awaited their orders.

"Send the next."

Back on Earth, dawn broke across the city skyline. The Cosmic Tyrants stood at the edge of a new war.

The real battle had only begun.
