Chapter 15 – This World and the Sky That Embraces It (Part 2)

If the sky is the stage of the gods and the Central Tower is its supporting pillar, then the seven continents surrounding it are the audience seats divided into seven corners, each with its own civilization, power, and destiny. The seven continents are not named by direction or geography, but by the character of the soul that dominates their inhabitants. There is the Continent of Argens—the continent of researchers and thinkers, the Continent of Umbra—the continent of shadows and intrigue, the Continent of Vella—the land that upholds art and beauty, the Continent of Farix—where battle and physical strength are law, and three other continents with different structures and cultures, each playing a role like organs in the body of the world. All continents have one thing in common: they stare towards the center. Because in the middle, stands a Tower they cannot touch. And from that desire, a system emerged that was never forced, but agreed upon by all parties:

The Prism Monoliths.

...

Prisms are not ordinary buildings. They are not obelisks or rigid towers. Prism Monoliths are living crystals, pulsing and growing like living beings, though not breathing. Their size varies, from as large as a human head to as large as a small palace. Their colors change depending on who stands before them.

But most importantly: prisms display names. These names are not determined by humans, not shaped by politics, and cannot be manipulated. They appear like whispers from the gods. Pure. Non-negotiable. The names displayed are those who have power, intelligence, wisdom, creativity, influence, or other extraordinary qualities. Not just magical power, but also soul power. A poet can be ranked two, while the strongest swordsman is only ranked fourteen. A carpenter who saved 500 orphans can be ranked seven. When someone stands before a prism and their name shines... then the whole city knows: this is the person acknowledged by the heavens.

There are 7777 prisms that have been found on six continents. And societies build their cities around them. Because when a prism appears, the surrounding land will be fertile, the weather stable, and monsters rarely appear. The gods seem to protect that area because it has been acknowledged. However, not all prisms are bright. Most are dark. Storing names that have not yet appeared. Or names that have died. And from that system... an educational system emerged.

...

In the year 1577, great figures from six continents held a meeting in the Floating City of Sea Peak—a floating city located in neutral waters. There, they agreed on one thing: That the world needed a way to guide the strongest generation. And that the gods had provided the system through the prisms.

From there came the idea: The Continent's Highest Academy. Each continent would select the top 300 names on the prism list—specifically within the age range of 14 to 16—and they would be summoned to study at special academies built in the best locations on each continent.

However, the selection did not end there. After graduating from the continental academy, only those who could remain at the top, complete the final exam, and obtain the blessing of the local god, were entitled to take the Central Plan Academy Entrance Exam.

This academy, located on the outer border of the Central Plan monster territory, is the gathering place for the 300 most extraordinary individuals from all over the world, all 18 years old. They do not just learn. They are prepared. For an uncertain day. When the gods call them into the Tower. The Central Plan Academy is not a school. It is an altar. A place where education always resides, like a blazing fire that never dies. All for the ambition of all living beings on the continent to know the secrets of the world, the Tower.

The greatest figures in the world gathered; some who felt great enough even dared to challenge directly to go to the tower, but all had the same end... They never returned. Some said that they did not die, but were lifted to the tower to a higher part of the world, and others considered it all to be meaningless, a suicide attempt.

Ultimately, all living beings must have a purpose in their lives, and there is never any coercion for them to do whatever they want. That is adventure, that is mystery, and that is a challenge. Regardless, living beings, be it humans, elves, beast tribes, dwarves, dragon races, giants, or even demons, all undergo evolution in their lives, for a better life, all challenges endured in the past are results that can be enjoyed today, and it will continue to be so.

----------

Deep within the Central Tower's cave, in a rainforest area that never stops flowing water to the entire world, stood a small wooden hut that seemed to stand out in an area surrounded only by wild forest.

*Rrrrrrrmmmm*

A humming sound could be heard from inside the room, followed by a sharp red light leaking outwards.

"?!! What is this... This is crazy".

With whitened hair, a face full of wrinkles, was a legendary wizard of circle 8, the founder of magic towers worldwide, over 5000 years old with all the magical knowledge that could arguably be the most knowledgeable of others.

Balvida Arthur.

With a face full of surprise, he gazed at a crystal ball stored on a wooden table. It could be seen that, inside the crystal ball, the face of a small girl who looked stunning and beautiful was imprinted.

"Oohh... Moon goddess. So she is the one you blessed, a small girl... How heavy your fate is, child...", with trembling hands, he wiped his tear-streaked face. "...Finally, Earth's civilization will advance another step... With this, my role is over... Hahaha...", a rapidly changing emotion on his face was clearly visible, a very sincere smile appeared.

"A-haha..."

*thud!*

The staff he held fell. Followed by his body, unable to support its own weight. "Goodbye, world... Thank you, moon goddess... Haaa...".

He fell.

The cold floor of the room touched his body, with eyes that felt increasingly heavy, he closed his eyes.

...

...

A smile remained on his face, even as he died.

The Moon Goddess, someone who has her belief within them will not be able to die no matter what happens, with one other rule that...

They will only die after a worthy person with similar belief appears in the world.

And that was the end of the life of the most powerful magic legend in world history, an immortal dwarf race, dying peacefully in the middle of the most dangerous forest in the world.

The world lost one of its most important figures... ...And the world also, welcomed a new figure who would shake the entire world.

The new envoy of the moon goddess, the princess of the Alvurngsem Empire.

Juliestica Von Kerzula.
