Chapter 26 - Alfia at Level 8

Upon hearing the words "take off your clothes," Hestia cried out, "Na-NANI?!"

"You idiot—what are you planning to do to her?!"

Raven Eltharion couldn't help but laugh. "It's the same process as when you updated my Falna, Lady Hestia."

"Don't worry—I don't have any weird intentions."

However—

Alfia curved her lips into a faint smile. "Then help me take it off."

She elegantly sat down on the bed and turned her back to Raven.

Hestia immediately stepped in. "I'll do it."

With that, the blue-ribboned goddess took the initiative to unzip the back of Alfia's black dress.

At the same time, she firmly covered the front of Alfia's body—making sure Raven couldn't glimpse any of that stunning figure.

Raven simply shook his head and looked at the cascade of white hair falling down her back.

Without hesitation, he stepped forward and brushed the hair aside—revealing Alfia's smooth, delicate, fair skin.

From the set of tools on the bed, he took out a second needle.

He gently pricked his fingertip—fresh blood welled up.

"I'm starting," Raven said calmly.

"—Mmm...~"

With a single light touch of his finger, Alfia let out a soft, alluring moan.

Her body, whether by intent or instinct, trembled slightly.

"It's been... eight or nine years since I last had my Falna updated," she murmured with half-closed eyes.

"This feeling reminds me of that old hag—Lady Hera."

Hestia's mind went completely blank.

"Why does this feel... off somehow?"

"But also oddly... weirdly familiar?"

As a goddess, updating her child's Falna was completely normal.

But Raven Eltharion—how could he update someone else's?

Isn't updating abilities something only gods can do?

Once the glowing light faded...

Raven printed Silent Alfia's updated status onto a piece of parchment.

And immediately... locked it with a seal.

The blue-ribboned goddess was too stunned to notice the emblem on Alfia's back—

The crest of Hera Familia!

In truth, this whole process was handled through magic.

Raven Eltharion had no divine blood, nor any divine power.

He used death-attribute magic to update his subordinate's abilities.

(PS: These spells and skills were already introduced in previous chapters.)

Now at Level 8, there was no doubt about it—Alfia was the strongest woman in the world.

It wasn't an exaggeration.

The former "Silent One" could:

Obliterate the entire Ganesha Familia with a single chant;

Block a first-tier adventurer's ultimate technique using just two fingers;

Instantly mimic Sword Princess Ais's sword style after seeing it only once;

Her second spell could silence even Riveria, one of the Nine Mage Princesses.

Her first skill granted her the power of two levels beyond her own instantly.

That's how terrifying Silent Alfia truly was!

"Alright, put your clothes back on," Raven said. "We're going out for food."

As he dressed, Hestia zipped up Alfia's dress and finally relaxed a little.

Then she curiously picked up the parchment containing Alfia's updated abilities.

"NAAA—NIIII!!!"

In that instant, a high-pitched scream rang out.

The moment Hestia saw Lv.8, her legs gave out and she fell on her butt in shock.

"Lady Hestia, please don't panic." Raven quickly helped her up.

"Y-Y-You were a member of the Hera Familia, the strongest in Orario?!"

Hestia stared wide-eyed, clearly recognizing the crest printed on the paper.

"Yes, Lady Hestia," Alfia said calmly. "I died once... but he brought me back with summoning magic."

Raven shrugged with a helpless expression. "That's basically what happened."

After a brief explanation, Hestia reluctantly accepted the reality.

"So that's how it is…"

"As expected of my Raven-kun—your magic is just... amazing."

Beaming, Hestia threw herself into his arms once again, her soft chest squishing flat against him.

"Ha... ha..." Raven scratched his cheek, clearly embarrassed by the praise.

Alfia, once infamous as a public enemy of Orario, could never walk its streets openly.

Raven didn't want to cause unnecessary trouble.

At the very least—

She needed a disguise.

Just like how Ryuu Lion had to hide while being wanted by the Guild.

"Alfia, I'll head to the store later and buy an eye mask, a face cover, and a cloak for you."

"Starting tomorrow, you'll be able to accompany me outside."

In other words—he wanted her to serve as a personal bodyguard.

At his current strength (Lv.2), Raven could now keep Alfia existing in the living world.

And he no longer had to worry about his mana being drained from maintaining her summon.

A short while later—

Raven originally planned to eat at the Hostess of Fertility tavern.

But unfortunately...

Lady Hestia insisted on going to the Fire Bee Pavilion on Southwest Street instead.

Well...

That just meant he perfectly missed running into Syr.
