Stepping out from the basement, Raven and Alfia arrived at the entrance of the old church.
Looking at the ruins and debris around them, Alfia couldn't help but sigh.
"…This brings back memories."
This area—
Used to be the base of operations for her, [Gluttony] Chaldo, and the evil god Erebus.
Six days before the [Great War] began, they had fought off Shakti and her group right here.
That battle had left the entire place in ruins.
Shakti Varma, captain of the [Ganesha Familia], held the title [Elephant God's Staff] and was a Level 5 at the time.
On the first day of the [Great War], Chaldo defeated [Mighty] Ottar in just two moves.
Ganesha's Aadi was blown apart, and Dilis—the captain of the Hermes Familia—fell in battle.
The gods retreated into Babel Tower. Six deities were forced back to the heavens, and three evil gods from the artificial dungeon also vanished.
The Dungeon's Rudra summoned forth a terrible evil, and Erebus officially declared war.
On the second day of the [Great War], Asfi succeeded Dilis as the new captain of the [Hermes Familia].
This entire district was filled with legends.
Aadi Varma—Shakti's younger sister and close friend of Ryuu Lion—
Was only fifteen years old back then, a Level 3 adventurer, bearing the title [Ivory Hymn].
...
"Is that so?" Raven smiled. "Then, are you looking forward to my summoning magic?"
"—Are you suggesting..."
"—That besides me, you could summon and revive someone else?"
"Pretty much. As a Level 2, I can now summon one more person."
"But they probably won't be able to remain in this world as long as you can."
"Once I grow stronger, I should be able to fix that."
"…What terrifying magic," Alfia muttered.
Even someone as seasoned as her had to admit respect for such a spell.
Raven just shrugged with a chuckle. "Come on."
"When we reach the [Loki Familia] headquarters, stay hidden and just watch."
"Don't let any of the 'Big Three' notice you."
"And try to suppress that intimidating aura of yours."
"Just act natural—like me."
Yes—
Raven didn't want to attract the attention of the top three members of the [Loki Familia] just yet.
Especially that scheming little prum—Finn.
If he got suspicious…
It would cause far too much trouble.
For now, Raven just wanted to lie low and focus on growth.
Getting stronger was fine—but not in a flashy way.
Just like Asfi from the [Hermes Familia], who always kept her true strength hidden.
She was officially registered as Level 2 at the Guild, but in truth, she was already Level 4.
If she had ranked up publicly—
The [Guild] would've forced her into nonstop dungeon expeditions.
The [Hestia Familia] was registered as an [Exploration-type Familia] by the Guild.
The process was simple and came with perks, which is why Hestia had chosen it.
But even now—
Though Raven was its only member, he absolutely could not reveal his summoning magic.
Otherwise, they'd be treated just like the [Loki Familia]—constantly drafted for high-risk expeditions.
Raven wasn't that dumb.
In Orario…
There were around thirty adventurers at Level 4, a dozen at Level 5, and only a few at Level 6.
And Level 7 champions? Just two—Ottar and a mysterious one named Leon.
But Raven's summoning magic—
Could do more than just revive a Level 7 like [Silent].
It might one day allow him to bring back former Level 8s… or even Level 9s.
Maybe even...
The mythical first hero, [Argonaut], or the last great hero, [Albert].
[Ancient Great Hero] Albert Waldstein—Ais Wallenstein's father.
Her elven mother was [Aria].
Of course, those figures belonged to a distant future.
Right now, Raven was still just a Level 2—
Far from able to unleash the full power of his terrifying summoning spell.
...
Not long after—
Raven stepped onto the bustling main street and hailed a carriage out of curiosity.
"Driver, take me to [Twilight Manor], the base of the [Loki Familia]."
"—Aye, sir!"
With the clatter of wheels, the carriage disappeared into the crowd—a mix of humans, elves, dwarves, and beastmen.
Having crossed into a new world—
Raven naturally wanted to enjoy some of its unique pleasures.
After about thirty minutes—
They arrived at the gate of [Twilight Manor], the headquarters of the [Loki Familia].
"Fifty valis, right?"
"—Yes, sir."
Raven handed over a 50-valis coin to the middle-aged coachman.
"—Thank you kindly."
As the coachman left, Raven muttered, "That was worth it."
The ride had been surprisingly smooth and relaxing.
Alfia wasn't beside him now—but he knew she was nearby.
Looking at the two guards at the gate, Raven smiled bitterly.
To think… he was repeating this moment again.
This time, he didn't strut in arrogantly or rub his nose.
He just planned to state his business, retrieve the [Thousand-Feather Wand], and leave.
And so—
As he stepped forward—
The werewolf Bete of the [Loki Familia] appeared at the gate, hands in his pockets, his usual scowl on display.
In that moment—
Their eyes met once more.
Fate had brought them face to face again.

P.S.
Upcoming "IF" routes will be added to the story!
Characters like the goddess of love from the [Aphrodite Familia], and [Illya]—who didn't appear in the anime—will debut soon.
So will two beautiful goddesses from the original lore:
Aside from [Freya] and [Ishtar], there are also [Aphrodite] and [Konohana Sakuya-hime].
Both appeared briefly during the anime's "Goddess Festival."
I also plan to include the goddess of wisdom—[Athena].
In short, this story won't follow canon.
Starting tomorrow—three chapters a day!
