Chapter 108 - The Ganesha Familia Mobilizes

Northwest Main Street, Guild Headquarters—

In the underground shrine of the central temple, the long-seated god Uranus suddenly opened his eyes.

For the first time in ages, the old god rose from his divine seat.

"What is it, Uranus?"

Wearing a black cloak, Fels appeared from the shadows in the corner of the altar chamber.

Uranus paused for a moment, then solemnly spoke:

"It has appeared..."

"Is it happening again?"

"Are we about to witness a tragedy like before?"

"What are you talking about, Uranus?"

"Uranus?"

Fels pressed for answers, anxious.

"That monster... the one that nearly wiped out the Astraea Familia five years ago…"

Uranus cast his gaze downward, solemnly declaring:

"Disaster... has returned."

The cries echoing from the Dungeon below gave weight to Uranus's grave tone.

"This shouldn't have happened."

"If it had just been minor damage caused by adventurers, the Dungeon would have started regenerating on its own."

"It would have healed."

"But if the damage exceeds its regeneration rate—if the harm is excessive—"

"The Dungeon stops regenerating. It eliminates the source."

"The instinct for self-preservation born from extreme injury... not even my prayers can reach it."

The Dungeon... was weeping.

Five years ago—

Due to the rampage of the Rakia Familia, massive amounts of flame stones were brought deep into the Dungeon.

They unleashed large-scale bombing, severely damaging specific floors.

The resulting collapses stripped the labyrinth of its intended form and meaning.

When faced with such situations, the Dungeon emits danger signals.

You must understand—

The Dungeon is alive.

When its core, the Monster Mother, is under extreme assault, it develops self-defensive instincts.

It then births terrifying apostles of annihilation to eliminate the invading foreign entities.

"Is the nightmare from five years ago about to repeat?"

"I fear it is…"

Uranus gave a heavy reply and continued:

"That is a forbidden truth of the Dungeon."

"If we were to place explicit restrictions, it would imply the truth of its existence."

"We chose silence—to hide it."

All who had witnessed it—the Astraea Familia—were wiped out.

And the Rakia Familia had been completely wiped out by Gale Wind.

The only one who knows the truth of that day… is Gale Wind herself.

Having witnessed the tragedy firsthand, she surely wouldn't dare provoke it again.

Under normal circumstances…

Disaster should never have been reborn.

But—

Gale Wind made one fatal miscalculation.

She never imagined that scum like Jarrah would escape her blade.

"Of course, the Guild kept no records. The only ones who noticed the signs… were the Xenos."

"They sensed the anomaly five years ago—more clearly than anyone."

"I explained everything to them, hoping they could help prevent such tragedy again…"

With that, Uranus let out a deep sigh.

"There's no time to waste. I'm heading to contact Rido and the others now."

Fels quickly pulled out a crystal to contact the Xenos.

"The Loki Familia is still on expedition deep in the Dungeon, right?"

"Correct."

Fels understood Uranus's intention and added:

"Then we have no choice. We must dispatch the Ganesha Familia to exterminate it."

Dungeon, 27th Floor.

Inside one of the winding corridors—

A party of adventurers was paralyzed with fear from the strange events unfolding around them.

A male dwarf, removing his hands from his ears, whispered:

"The sound… has stopped?"

But then—

Crack… Crack… Crack…

An odd noise echoed behind them.

A rhythmic hopping, unnatural and ominous.

The five-member party stopped, turning around.

Something was rapidly approaching.

A dark silhouette flickered deep in the tunnel.

"Huh?"

"Something's—"

CRACK

With a crisp sound, the adventurers' heads all exploded—

None had time to speak their final words.

Five high-level adventurers, gone in an instant.

The black-colored Juggernaut ignored the blood dripping from its claws.

It turned and moved on, searching for its next prey.

A massive shadow sprinted and leaped, its movement spreading like a deadly signal.

Meanwhile—

Central Plaza, Babel Tower.

In response to an emergency dispatch from the Guild—

All 11 first-class adventurers of the Ganesha Familia had assembled.

"Move quickly, everyone. We're racing against time!"

Wielding the Staff of the Elephant God, Shakti gave her orders:

"This emergency mission is to descend into the lower floors and exterminate a certain monster."

"Big Sis, what's going on?"

"Why all the urgency…?"

An Amazon with red hair looked at her captain, confused.

Iltafenna—vice-captain of the Ganesha Familia.

Level 5. Title: Red War Panther.

"No time to explain. We'll talk on the way."

"Into the tower—move!"

At Shakti's command, the Ganesha Familia charged forward—

And dove into the Dungeon.
