Chapter 3: Communication

Soon, after there report reached the highest levels, as they marked it as max classification at the risk of there job. Resources on this case expanded rapidly. As the more advanced agents showed up ready to work. Thou the team was kept small on purpose. They were consulted, but the study moved more rapidly. As they developed more devices to track the fox frequency as it was called. Identified that it took 2 weeks after its hunt to get another target. With the freqency pulsing randomly all over the contrey until it locked onto a target. Showing... it has a huge range. that can cover the entire US. Then, it picked a target, and they followed. This time, agents moved the family, but the signel pulses followed there location. If the father, and child were moved away from each other, the pulses followed both.

Miller sat at a desk, as Tom sat nearby. They reviewed files, and notes. As Miller said "Whatever this thing is... nothing on record matches." Tom nods. "its not asguardian, its not alien, and its not mutant. Or... if it is its so advanced we can't tell." Miller nods. "Advanced, powerful. Worse... its moral... how... do we even stop it if it decides to kidnap someone?" Tom is quite "We don't, honestly... we negotiate, or hope..." The room feels cold.

More analysis on past victims occurred... and they learned the children, the survivors. DId not even hate Mr. Fox. They were scared for there parents, as one kid said "I hope daddy is ok there." Many dislike talking about Mr. Fox, all even. Stopped talking about it days after the event. Eventually, a child phycologist got the reason why. "Mr. Fox... he talks to me still. Every night, when i go to the TV, he gives me... leassons. Lovely ones about math, or science... he is very nice!" They learn... that every night, a small 5m time bubble, occurs around each child, as a Mr. Fox broadcast occurs. They began to record them, but the event only occours if the child is alone. The children, all of them, have showen unsually stable mental health, and greater intelegence, and higher grades. But the few kids they got to emit it... don't want to show Mr. Fox to them. They say "Mr. Fox says to keep it secret." They often refuse to even record there lessens with camras, angerly saying "The lessens are for me! Why do you want to record them." It seems nearly impossible to change there minds. Thou they did manage it once, but the lession Mr. Fox gave... noticed the recording device the child had, asked about it, and taught a lessen on privacy. Before saying "Anyway, for those adults that want this recording... you should give it to them. Just this once. As i will say to them... they should not interfere with my kits."

Within a meeting room, a higher level agent named Agent Lawton, assigned personally to this investigation by Nick Fury. Sits in a meeting room, and rewatches the recording from that handheld camra of the lessen. He asks "Estmiate on how long until that next kidnapping on the family he has targeted." Miller says "Data analysis shows 5 too 8 days." Miller says "His tone in that recording... at the end." As the scean plays over "they should not interfere with my kits." plays. Miller says "it... parental... almost... too emotionally real." Tom says "Prehaps, he does seem to have real emotions. But still... he could be actively manipulating the kids, or brainwashing them. Calling it good." Miller says "Does not make sense, look at the parents he considers worth death. Brainwashers, and those that abuse. He would be the very thing he fights if he was abusive, or brainwashing." Lawton says, "Acording to child phycologists we sent. There is no signs of indoctrination, fanaticism, or memetic contamination." The recording reaches a part, where Mr. Fox sings a 'Privacy Song'. As he sings about privacy, and when it matters, and when it does not. When its wrong, and when its right. Its... surprisingly... detailed, and a very complex take. With phrases like 'Its ok to be curious, but the curious may hurt'. Eventually Lawton says "I've talked with Fury. He say to not make a move. Try to communicate with it." Tom is deeply unsure. Miller says "Yeah, makes sense. We are holding the current family he is targeting within a house made with thousands of sensors, and every camera under the sun. I recommend... we try to communicate with it peacefully."

Eventually, the day comes. As agents sits in within the house, hidden in a security room. The drug addict father, and child unsure about why they have been taken by these agents. Moved to this house. The father has tried to take drugs, they allow it, ignore the mans behavior, that they can record with ease. The kid, Jamson, is stressed out by all this moving. As then... the fox signal pulses... and then they lose contact with the outside world... as there scanners say time has stopped, and time only works as normal within a bubble around the house. They frown, as the agents look at each other. Miller... chosen to be the communicator. Sits unsure. As the TV turns on, and they record the broadcast.

Mr. Fox, a black furred, Disney style, animated fox appears on the TV. As all the lights turn off, and most sensors they lose contact with. Except for there cameras, and basic power systems. As Mr. Fox says "Welcome all to the wonderful performance for tonight. Tonight's performance shall be a interesting one." Then it begins to sing once more. As the animation is poppy, and very well made. Almost a dance party, but with darker themes. As the father walks out of his room, saying "What is that horrible racket. Stupid ass TV." He reaches for the remote, it fails to work. Then..., a sudden cut, too close to Mr. Fox, no more backup dancing shadow foxes with purple eyes. No more dancing. Mr. Fox looks at the man, and cuts off his own song. "Sorry for the lack of performance today, but I've got a meeting to deal with, so Mr. Arthur. You will be taken to prevent interference." The man backs away at his own name. Before... a shadowy figure of a fox moves on the wall. With glowing purple eyes, and teeth. Immensely stylized despite being in the real world. As then it bites at the mans shadow and the mans eyes turn static. As he freezes, and falls into the TV world behind the fox, comedically. As he panics in the background on the TV show. As other shadow foxes form, to chase him off screen. Mr. Fox says "Anyway... i know your watching. Lets see... names... Shield. Yes. So come on out now."

Miller stands, visibly shaken, but makes her way to the small table where a microphone sits, the AV systems don't work. She frowns. The fox says "In person please. Its rude not to speak with a guest." Miller walks out slowly, heart pounding. Her training covers armed conflict, enhanced individuals, alien tech—but nothing for this. She shakes, hand at her side, at a gun, and a EMP grenade. She is unsure if they will even work. She enters the living room. As the fox stares at her. "Hello there. I prefer you over that Tom. I've been noticing you watching, and following me. Stalking is a crime you know." The animated fox gestors well, its tail flicking alive. As shadows move across the walls. Fox shadows with glowing eyes. The only light in the room, is the bright glow of the TV.
