The second Ri Young moved his eyes off the horse to one of the stocky guards, he immediately paled. Because the guards were already looking at him.
Now Ri Young wasn't a god of stealth or anything, but with his slim build he was very hard to spot and he also knew how to keep his breathing steady and stay quiet. He was decently confident in his hiding spot of one of the dense and full branches on top of one of the bigger trees in the area. He himself could barely look through the rough greenery blocking his sight and was also making no auditable sounds that he could tell with his upgraded hearing.
But it seems that was not enough for the clearly strong and seasoned guards with the yellow star shields.
Somewhat thankfully the shorter but no less deadly of the 2 guards shouted in perfect Korean "Show and name yourself! Now!"
Obviously a normal person would be terrified if a strong man who has clearly shown his talents and skills to be proficient enough to wear such great armor was screaming at them to move or be killed, but Ri Young was simply happy because they can understand eachother. There are multiple horror stories of people being transported to an unknown world and having to learn the common language of the population.
Anyways he should probably get moving since the guards do seem very mad.
Ri Young said "Ok don't stab me. I'm coming down, my name is Ri Young"
The guards seemed confused immediately and filled with suspicion with his name, or maybe surprised and full of excitement.
Nevertheless, the 2 guards readied their heavy swords and now the taller one of the duo said with full confidence "why are you here. And making so much noise next to the kings castle."
"Oh I'm just here for some errands, you know the whole ordeal, have to water the plants, make sure they have proper sunlig-"
As Ri was contemplating how often he gets cut off from finishing his sentences, the taller guard spoke while chucking lightly
"Why are you always lying, Adam? The prince wants to see you. He is going on escort soon to meet his fiancée. You really have to stop trying to run away and then acting like you don't know us."
Over the next 5 minutes a perplexed Ri Young was being called Adam and now on horseback traveling to the massive castle the soldiers called Astoria. Another thing that confused him was the fact the thing they were on is still called a horse, after seeing a frog with rabbit legs and a squirrel with a thick shell he assumed that this world was very much different from his own, but also very similar.
There were many similarities between his and the new world he was in, other than language he also assumed from that his body had the same anatomy as the guards and other humans atleast from outward appearance.
"Gods how would I stay here if every human had a tail and I didn't, they would definitely destroy me on the spot." Ri Young thought in his head
After some time he appeared next to the massive wooden gates of the well kept castle. It was frankly the biggest and only castle he had ever seen in his life. If he used the convenience store as his measuring device, he could easily stack three or four on top of each other and just barely get above the cold hardened and tempered stone bricks that made up the walls. It would probably take almost eight just to get from one side of the wall to the other. Each corner had an immense spire that seemed to reach up to the sky and allowed whoever was inside to see much farther than they would ever need, the yellow caps on all of the spires shone bright gold almost with how the rising sun was reflecting on it.
Ri Young was admiring the work and craftsmanship of the castle when the massive wood gates that seemed impenetrable and thousands of pounds opened with ease from what seemed like nothing except for a young guard wearing a simple bright but also dirty yellow tunic on the inside of keep. He bowed as he greeted the two guards entering. The shorter named Reece and the taller one named Tyson. He also bowed deeper to Ri Young, seeming to acknowledge him as the most superior man compared to the two guards next to him.
As Ri Young was escorted towards the middle of the castle he noticed it was very open on the inside of the encampment. With what seemed to be a massive training ground with multiple soldiers doing the same overhead strike as an obviously veteran member of the force was correcting small almost unnoticeable changes, there was also many smaller red lined sparring circles on the ground where the soldiers were fighting with wooden swords, spears, lances, and some with bare hands.
When Ri Young entered the large grey rectangle which served as the base of the massive castle that later turns into the center spire that reached to the heavens. Ri Young entered the room filled with people and noticed there were seven chairs, all filled except for two with obviously powerful grizzled veterans of the sword and other deadly weapons. In the center of the great room he saw a simple map and realized that this was a meeting room.He also immediately felt the presence of many strong people looking at him with cold gazes. He felt the guards escorting him leave quickly after doing a deep bow towards everyone except Ri Young and then was greeted by a woman that looked around a year younger than himself.
"Why are you always late? Don't tell me you ran away again. Anyways we are waiting for the prince to show up so count your luck because its sure to run out." The bronze haired women seemed to be visibly smaller than most people in the room but even the untrained Ri Young could see that he would be murdered almost immediately if he tried anything against the rude woman
"Why am I even thinking of hurting this little girl? I just got here" as soon as Ri Young finished his thought the doors opposite of the entrence swung open and a tall well built man also around the same age as Ri Young walked through. His gold long hair streaming in the wind that only appeared once he entered the room. Actually, it seemed like when he entered everything became brighter and Ri Young's worries and confusion subsided to the aura of the young man. Who seemed like he was about to speak.
"My name is Second Prince Leonard, and you all know why you are here I presume."
